I do not get why they don't have a proper video or a webpage explaining how Rapido for example works. All they have is some dumb 1 minutes about how pretty they are inside. Nothing about sailing.
@@angela1984a I do not think that explanation was enough. Dragon fly 40 has a nice introduction on what you can get and why they have made some design choices. Rapido doesn't have a good explanation done by themselves, except a video of someone showing the berts and stuff. They need a good explanation, like the Sirius Yachts or Dragonfly has done. I am in the market for Rapido 50 or Dragonfly 40 like trimaran. I need the folding arms. I enjoy the tactile feedback of trimarans. Gone sailing on Corsair. But want something more in Stockholm's sailing seasons.

A simple orca is able to break rudder blade, just playing with it, just refer to the recent 'attacks report' in spain, 'attack' being no the good term because obviously theses Orcas are just "playing" with boat, pushing them. Just imagine a whale with such fine pieces as foils..... foils just instantaneously explode, so let's be serious. Sorry, the remark is just ridiculous.... The keel may be in fact the reel problem, not the foils. But for ultim trimaran.... there is no keel. Anyway, as today nobody has ever report to have killed a whale hitting them with the keel, in 100% of theses situations, the boat is broken, the keel drops down in the water, and the skipper must give up. When hitting a whales, the boat jump out of the water because of... Archimede law. In fact Archimede law minimizes the power impact Don't be wrong, propellers of big boats are in fact the reel problem. Many dolphins, and even Orcas have been killed hitting propellers. Big boat are far much heavy than a trimaran or any sailboat... so they don't "jump out" of the water, so they cause far much injuries than a light sailboat

Have some respect, these guys are the masters of the Maxi sailing, it's an honour to hear their comments given to you for free. Is your French as good as their English?
Wow... perhaps you should subject yourself to people who don't speak the Queen's English. I am Danish and I'd say I understood pretty much everything. If you travel a fair bit and hang out with a handfull of different nationalities your perception grows. (Not just in terms of understanding various accents...) And if you're Swedish, well, there's some fun in you presenting the argument you just did.

Franck & Charles, thank you for sharing this valuable information with us especially in English. You guys are the masters of the Max multihulls.
Wow what a machine! Would love to see sail on something similar one day. Must be getting close to the 50 knot barrier with the new foil package
Cyril Dardashti, CEO. Gypsy aims for 50, then 55 knots.........

ThankYou for taking the time to explain the systems
Really interesting thanks to all for providing the insight. That boat is a BEAST!
That was an interesting interview !
Thanks! Great to get a detailed review of this ultimate machine.
this video was really great, and it gets u real sense of the boat...
I think someone forgot to colorgrade the interview sequences 😂😅
These are magnificently designed flying boats. It’s stunning how fast they can go in just a small breeze.
The point made about the contrast with Lazartigue is interesting for sure. There's loads of visibility from the cockpit here.
Franck and Charles are the best

What happens to a whale if they're stuck by a foil? 😢
The whale breaks the boat and swims away laughing 🙄

First we need to stop killing whales. Then we can worry about the small possibility of a sailboat hitting one.
