- How to make a Bass Shaker or Tactile Transducer at home. This is a simple and easy method to make a Bass Vibrator from an old subwoofer at home. I chose a subwoofer because, it has a powerful voice coil and aluminum former. It produces strong vibration and is power enough to make you feel the vibration of sound when you sit on this chair. Avoid a subwoofer with paper former because, it will get damaged sooner. Other than, it gives a quite reasonable effect while you watching a movie. Thanks for watching my video. Get rid of the spring and use a solid rod and it will sound and feel better

hows the longevity on this? I made a few before with a bolt attached instead of the spring and that method involved moving the entire speaker housing. Felt nice in the chair but didn't last long.

i just sit near my sub and everything vibrates, gonna uprade to a 12 inch 275 RMS sub so i can actually get hearing damage from explosions lol but neat speaker hack for sure.
colbi mitchell you can’t get hearing damage from bass.
miklea molie the bass frequencies only vibrate the larger, stronger receptors in your ear canal and they are far stronger so they don’t breakdown like the ones that hear higher frequencies.
@@lukasbekcic bass is responsible for sound pressure level and you can do major damage with it by rupturing the eardrum, bass Cannon isn't just a track for teens to test their subs it's actually a feasible weapon.

Well ive actually upgraded since then i have bought a DC power supply so i could run my alpine 500rms car audio amp to my 2 12s in my room.
its kind of pricey to do it that way but its pretty clean power and i can adjust the voltage.

I tried to connect it to the pc! It works but I lose the sound in my 2.1 system can only hear the left speaker and the subwoofer.

You see the red and black wires coming out the bass shaker you made and how short they are.... I bought some bass shakers that have the wires and they are very short and can’t reach where I have my Amp
What is the name of those connector things you used?
Hopefully something like that can help me. I’ve had the bass shakers for a few weeks and haven’t been able to use them at all and it’s just collecting dust 😔

Stupid because if it does not keep pressure in a box and in the cone that you took off so it won’t make any bass the other one does better
Actually, the point isn’t to make sound but instead to transfer the movement (vibration) into the chair and allow you to feel the bass notes, and with a tactile transducer you can feel frequencies all the way down to the single digits, which most subwoofers can’t play anyway (unless you get a ridiculous 18” behind your chair but most people don’t have that kind of money)
