Though of course a baritone this gentleman has a particularly beatifiul tenor quality to his voice in the upper register. His phrasing is nicely projected although I generally feel he's somewhat lightweight in the role.... It has to be said that for all his obviously carefully prepared delivery there's more to this aria than he managed to convey; nonetheless it's a most pleasurable offering overall..
