Very much enjoy your videos love your humour too so connect with it. I was going to say that perhaps the name of the boat was “Sponge Bottom” or “Sponge Bum” Lovely pace of life😊 All the best from ~ Two Kiwi Retiree’s living in Paradise on the other side of the world🌏🇦🇺
I'm glad that you are enjoying them Kahlenana! The name was Fat Bottomed Girl haha! Enjoy your paradise over there Vince!
Vince mate, i had a really poxy day today, feeling a bit low.... watching your vids and commentries just picks me up every time, you should be an NHS prescription mate! thank you. Jason.
Glad that you're enjoying them still Jason. I don't think they would work on everyone mate haha!
Enjoying your series of vids , you could have done with Vicious dog to remove nutcase from roof .
Glad that you are enjoying them Victor! I will have to get one (save me from growling haha!)
‘Bum’s Rush’ maybe the name of the Boat.
Nice to see Ma earning her supper, 😂
She done quite well Nobby!
Ha ha... Bum Steer or Derriere ?? What a cheek with the chap on the roof.... frightening for anyone on their own.... your mum did really well!! Xx
Good tries, I will post the name tomorrow! It could be frightening I'd say!
Vince what did mums friends say when she told them that you made her walk the plank ha ha. That blue wide beam that you moored near looked like an expensive bit of kit.
They won't talk to me any more Barry haha! That boat is all electric if I remember correctly!
She’s a Belle Bottom isn’t she? You couldn’t push her over if you tried. You gave your mum a nice trip. I bet she had a lovely time.
Mum had a good time thanks Rikki!
Fantastic
More east London please 😂😂😂👍
I'm getting a bit old for the East London now Steven haha!
This has been my favourite video so far ! Absolutely love this part of the GUC and know it very well. Loved being part of your trip 👍
Thanks Nathan you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video grandad, that man was naughty smoking on your roof x x
That man was naughty twice. Once for smoking, and twice for getting on my boat! See you soon love Grandad xxx
Nice Vince, glad your mum had a good time. Canal up that way looking nice!
Cheers Jeff, Looks very similar to a river (except for the amount of locks)
How lovely for your Mum to be able to help, She will always remember that. Nice Vid
Mum helped where she could, more so keeping everything spick & span inside the boat!
Nice one Vince - Good to hear that you gave that Geezer on the roof an ear bashing 😂😂
That's about all I'm capable of nowadays Bob!
Hi Vince. So glad I had gone by that time, otherwise I would have been worried for you & more worried about the bloke going in the drink. Strange people about. Great vlog again Vince, took me right back again. Other than these odd people cropping up, you have chosen a great lifestyle. Love Mum xx
Thanks mum, really enjoyed your company, don't worry, there's idiots in every walk of life! See you soon love Vince xxx
Miss Patricia, just loved seeing you on Vince's narrow boat, H. Hope you're both well.
@@wendi2819 Thank you, loved it.
You’re a world famous you tube canal celebrity now Patricia, welcome to the gang.

Yes he was a bit cheeky! Mum liked it and I've missed her! See you next time love Vince xxx
I guess it sure helps when the locks are in your favour and/or there are lockeys helping out., but you seemed to have found a knack for getting thru the locks in good time. Really enjoying watching your videos!
It does help a lot when they in your favour when doing locks! Glad you are enjoying them!
Good video nice that you enjoy your mom
Thanks Richard!
Once again, very enjoyable trip Vince. Thanks

Bottoms Up I say 🤪 for the boat name 😊
There are some strange people about - hopefully you won't meet any more like him. So glad your Mum had gone by then.
So glad she enjoyed her time with you 🙂
Bring on the next one Vince - be interesting to see the swing bridge 😀 Take care xxx
I'll post the boat name tomorrow! What's that saying "there's nowt as queer as folk" I think that would have worried mum. When I go through the swing bridge I will have to stop the traffic (not looking forward to that) See you next time love Vince xxx
Liked the way you parked up in front of the wide been all good experience another enjoyable video - cheers
Thank you! Remember to knock it out of gear when reversing close to the towpath, or you could damage the prop!
“Peachy Lass” 😊
Good one Lizzy, check tomorrow!
Hello all, I live in Hemel Hempstead we have got some weirdos here I’m not one of them which I am pleased to say. because I am housebound it was nice to see some of the old bridges and parts of the Canal and the fishery inn which I haven’t seen in a few years, in part of your cruise in Hemel there were some flats on the right hand side grandmother used to live in one of those and where the weirdo laid on your roof are used to work down there years ago good times they were, we used to walk along the canal bank during our dinner break to get a bit of fresh air and to watch the barges as they were in the 60s thank you.
Nice memories Raymond!
Rear Admirable
Nice one John, I will post the name tomorrow!
Glad Aunt Pat had a good trip with you. It takes all kinds to make up this world, you met one of the strange ones on your roof.
There are some strange people out there Linda!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle Yep, they are all over the world, we have our fair share here too. Thank goodness the Parkers aren’t strange 🤣🤣
I lost my momma Vince this year you got yores' still blessings.
Sad for you Lanie!
Thank you vince. Blessings
When I worked nights I used to think of myself as “Soft Mick the great ****wit magnet” because of the zombies that would literally run out in front of me in my van after the witching hour. So it’s not just you it’s me too. I’m amazed at your Mum she is a great shipmate. I enjoy your vlogs very much. Cheers.
I know what you mean Douglas I used to work nights too! Yes mum done well, thanks and I'll see you on the next one!
Another great vlog Vince, glad Tricia enjoyed it. It`s so relaxing watching the life on the canals, keep them coming. Take care , looking forward to the next episode.
Cheers Brian! It is relaxing, but it can also be hard work just doing the basics (food, rubbish, toilets etc) but I wouldn't swap it! See you on the next one.
Hi Vince ,I hope your Mum had a great time with you for a holiday good of you ,the guy on the roof was he smoking weed or something lol you soon made him move bloody check of it I think the name is cracking on lol ,great blog Vince great views nice scenery, till next time take care keep safe live life .John 👏🌹🇬🇧👀😂🥂😍
Thanks John, mum enjoyed her break. I will put the boat name in the comments tomorrow. See you next time!
Hello Vince. Another wonderful trip with you and mum up the Grand Union. Not sure on the other boats name but my brain kept bringing up an old Queen song. As for your comment on lock timings, why? If time is important the last mode of transport I'd have chosen would be a narrow boat. Though that is preferable to Shanks's pony. We took my mum with us for a week on the canal. She was not very mobile but was happy sitting up the sharp end. That was until the food shop we'd moored up near was closing in ten minutes and we didn't check the mooring lines before we set off. Came back to find her still happily sitting there broadside across the cut. Happy days. Looking forward to your next episode. Kevin.
Good answer, and funny story about your mum Kevin!
Best Narrowboat Vlog on UA-cam.....Probably.
That's high praise, but I think I'm an acquired taste!
Looks like a peach 😂
Thinking you're Mum enjoyed her experience...
It might have been scary if it was during the night if you found that cheeky guy..
Some ppl don't care. .
Enjoy you're day..
Thank you for sharing ..
Stay safe..🌺🌼🌻🌸🏵️
It does look like a peach! It would have been scary for mum if she was still on the boat though Patricia!
Great Vlog, nice your Mom could be along. Thanks1
Thanks Mike, it was nice!
Nice cruise vlog and goodbye Mum, hope to see you again. I'm going with Moonbeam for the name of the boat.Watching one of the other boat vloggers, he had people peeing all over his boat, turned out to be some local youths and thought it was alright to climb all over his boat to take a pee. Police were called. Hope you have no more strange encounters.
Some people don't seem to know right from wrong!
What a bummer ! The boat name not the vlog wish I had been on the tow path when good old E London verbal was happening being from E 17 I just luv it would have done the same Vince you will meet some strange people on the cut we all have or will do in time thanks for the vlog and humour 1st class
E 17, that's Walthamstow (I think) Cheers Steve, I've met a few already! P S I'm from E 13.
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle well Plaistow was just round the corner from Walthamstow had Mates from there and East Ham when it was great place to live changed a bit since then Vince
Peach’s n Cream might be a good name for that boat
Good answer Mark, see if you're right later!
The vessell must be named ' HMAS Bar Jarse' ....... lol
Nice one Mike! The boat name was FAT BOTTOMED GIRL!
I can’t believe that someone had the nerve to climb aboard uninvited! Here in the USA he would have had a shotgun stuck under his nose and believe me no words would need to be spoken and he certainly would not have asked to finish his smoke! Enjoyed the video, hope your mom enjoyed the trip.
The thing is Richard, if I would have touched him the Police would have been after me! Which is how it is over here, unfortunately!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle. You mean you can’t throw someone off your property that is trespassing?
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle That is unfortunate. Well I guess that you did what you had to do. Live and let live!
@@sheepdog1102 If I hurt him in the process, I would be in trouble!
Really enjoyed that one and the wife said can she come along with you. She said she will do all the cooking.👍
Glad you enjoyed it Jason! I'm OK with the cooking, its the washing up that I hate Haha!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle I don’t mind doing the washing if you use paper plates
" Cheeky Girl ". Hi Vince . . . That was a strange episode on the roof. It takes all sorts I suppose. Glad your Mum had a great time with you on the boat. Good job Mum had gone before the the geezer on the roof turned up . . . mind you I would think she would have told him where to go too . Stay safe bud and thanks for bringing us along .
Very Cheeky, and a strange way to wake up! I don't know what some people have got between their ears! That would have scared the life out of mum, or my grandchildren if they would have been onboard! Look after yourself Mark, and I will see you next time. Vin!
Bad Moon rising Be my guess cheers n beers Marty
I'll post the answer later today Marty!
Excellent vid again matey.....Sorry to hear one of societies dregs was found on your roof.....The East End approach worked which is good....Hope you don't get too knackered with all those locks.....looking forward to 28 ...stay safe and best wishes
Cheers Stuart! I think all them locks will knacker me, but I will just take my time mate! See you next time Vin!
Fab vid agane 😁😁😁😁
Cheers Robin!
The boat name. How about Bottoms Up or Cheeky.
It might be just the camera angle but Aitch looks to be riding with the bow higher than the stern. If that's the case why not moor bow in first and leave the stern out a bit. This will also keep your prop away from the shallows and could save damage. You could then step ashore from the bow.
While moored overnight in Windsor I heard movement on deck, it was a drunk guy trying to pinch my folding bike, chained to the anchor winch. I could tell he was a squadie by the haircut and the few words he said. So I told him to bug off or I'll be up the barracks in the morning. Watched him walk off and he was joined by two others who were hiding behind a motor. He must have been on a dare.
Nice to see mum getting her hand in, I'm sure it was a nice break for her and looking forward to seeing her onboard again. I think she smartened you up a bit when she was there. You need to check the steering though, my boat would have headed for the pub on auto pilot.
PS: Noticed you enquiring about swing bridge operation in another channels comments. There are a few videos showing what to do on UA-cam, I didn't check them out but you may like to and they could put your mind to rest.
Thanks for posting and stay safe.
Thanks for the tips! I needed smartening up. My steering seems to head for the Cafe more than the pub these days. Look after yourself and see you next time!
good vid on the cut stay safe lee
Cheers Lee!
Is it, soggy bottom ?
Fat Bottomed Girl, Roy!
Thanks Vince. Great video and I've just remembered where I parked my bike. 😉
Like it Bob! I reckon you could park a Penny Farthing in that one!
MOONY !!!
Nice try Pete, I'll post the answer later!
Hour glass
Nice one Anthony, I will post name tomorrow!
Is the boat called "Hugh Jars"?
Good one Alan! Check tomorrow!
Hi Vince, just started watching your vlogs, very enjoyable, the swing bridge is up by the Three Horseshoes pub at Winkwell, right by Winkwell marina, would have been an ideal spot to hsve you mum picked up from as the road goes over the swingbridge. The pub does a good pint or two and some lovely food, little bit pricey but very good. I sometimes pop in there after work for a nice cold shandy in the summer time. Well worth a visit. I'd have launched the cheeky sod straight into the canal, taking a bleedin liberty mate. Your boat, your home, not some stop off point...cheeky bugger...stay safe and well mate. Keep up the good vlogs.
I might have to try that pub Peter it sounds nice. And yes I don't know what's going on in some peoples heads! See you next time!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle There are some strange people about, thats for sure. Enjoy your pint if you do get in there.
@@peterashman1670 Will do Peter!
You have just cruised through my home town. Hoping to cruise through there myself soon. Currently the other end of the GU. How was the availability of mooring Enjoy. Winkwell is lovely and you are heading to some lovely areas not least Stoke Bruerne soon x
The mooring situation seemed OK Susan! I'm looking forward to them places that you just mentioned. See you next time Vin x
Moon shine?
Nice one Mike, look in the comments tomorrow for the answer!
The peach
Good one Robin, I will post the answer tomorrow!
I was going to guess the name of the boat but looking at your post I got it wrong. My answer was” in the groove” the time limits on the swing bridge are a bit inconvenient. Is it because the roads very busy?
Good one with the boat name! Just before I got to the Swing Bridge it had broken down, and CRT came at them set times and operated it manually! But it was fixed by the time I got there Paul!
Enjoying the Chanel, nice one.
I'm glad you are enjoying it Ian!
I tried to see if I could get a better shot of the moored boat on Google maps, its on there dated May 2019 so it could be a private mooring, no idea whats its called though
Yes its an off towpath mooring so it must be private (good try though)
Hey fatty bum bum - Maybe xx Great vlog again, Vince thanks x
Nice try, thank you very much Vin x
peachy
Nice one Elliott! Check tomorrow!
deriere
It was "Fat Bottomed Girl"
I kept looking at the gang plank, thinking how I'd make it wider (with railings), fold up and easier to deploy and store?
My imagination clicks on some of the simplest of things and make's them more complicated. ;-)
Thank God it's not just me😂😂
That's how things get invented I'd say!
I'm still thinking about flip down, 10 inch wide gunnels and bow thruster controls on the tiller. ;-)
“Blue moon”perhaps, but it’s more a turquoise sort of colour?
Nice one Roger! I will post the name tomorrow!
I think the boat is called(what you looking at)
It is Lewis!
Bottoms up????
Haha! nice one Tom! Check tomorrow!
Rear on the weir!
I really enjoyed that video... made me laugh 😆 Shame about the low life on the boat. X
Glad the old man can still make you laugh! See you soon love dad xxx P S that was a good name, I'll post the answer tomorrow x
Bottoms down ?
Good try James, will post answer tomorrow!
Boat name Piles for piers (not hemaroids for Aristocrats )There we’re worse characters of the cut when l was a kid in the 60 ‘s one of them chased my mate down the towpath!
Like it Tony! What's that saying about people "there's nowt as queer as folk"
The boat is probably another flat bottom girl there are quite a few called that on the cut
Very close Big!
How about the boat being called the crack on the cut
Haha! I will post the boat name tomorrow! See you next time Vin!
“Full Moon”?
Nice one Roger! Check tomorrow!
One of the boating vloggers on YT had a young homeless woman come aboard. He didn't know what to do apart from make her a cup of tea. He said it was freezing outside and it seemed she had no where to go. I felt so sorry for both of them, for different reasons. Your experience was just a ahole and probably deserved a good slap. He's lucky you are a very reasonable guy, some one else may have used (un)reasonable force.
I saw that Paul! Poor woman, something not right with her! Every time I'm in a town, there's people that seem to be off their head!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle yes, it's so sad. You really have to count your blessings sometimes.
Bottom lock
The boat name is FAT BOTTOMED GIRL Ian! Nice try!
As an older female, I thought the "bottom lady" was tacky. There are children who would see that and I just think it was poor taste. As far as the guy on your roof = good for you for being forceful. I don't personally like violence, but perhaps you might want to keep some pepper spray on hand, if it's allowed, just in case someone becomes violent. Hey, take care out there. Nice of you to take your mum on board for a trip.
Being brought up in East London you learn that if you give these people an inch, they take a mile! So you have to be a bit forceful Sandy!
Long bottom
Good one Colton, I'll post the answer tomorrow!
It's wide beamed boat - "Fat Bottomed Girl".
Ooh Alan, I'm keeping quiet!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle
Ohhh, Errrrr, Missus. Frankie Howard would just have loved that boat.
You was spot on with the boat name Alan, well done!
👍👌🇨🇦❤,
Obviously a Deal Bum Boat.
I agree Donald!
Bootifull?
Nice one Glynn, I'll post the answer tomorrow!
Fauna is animal life.
I'm sure I saw some bugs amongst the Flora haha!
Bottomless pit
That name is very apt for a narrowboat!
