Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 жов 2021
- I'll be spending the next 48 hours in rural Newfoundland - Canada's most isolated province. This is the 5th and final episode in this mini-series before I move on to the next Canadian province. In this video, you'll find an inside look into of the most outrageously surprising and beautiful regions in all of Canada + a few surprises on the way.
WHERE I VISITED:
Gros Morne National Park - Tablelands, Western Brook Pond
Pirate's Haven ATV Campground - Robinson's NL
Port-Aux-Basques Ferry
Enjoy!

As a Newfoundlander living in Ottawa and it’s so nice to see someone exploring home and you pronounce its correctly
I'm from Newfoundland but currently living in Ontario! These vids are so well done, so great to see someone showcase the hidden gems of NL and also bring to light its history and stories. Have a great time, and hold onto your hats!
I came here to say basically the same thing. It's nice to see someone cover a little bit of the east and west coast. It's too bad you didn't make it to labrador but that's whole trip in itself. Great series can't wait to see the rest of the country
Thanks so much Claire!
@@Jordcurious Wish I could Jord! If only I had more time!
@@Sprouht if you have the chance you should come to burin Newfoundland and do so hunting
Lady . . . if possible, come back to the Rock !!! (I understand "work" & "family" stuff.) I am so so happy here . . . Holyrood NL.
I am a Newfoundlander. Never ever heard anyone say they were expecting to see boring scenery when they are coming here. Most tourists come because of our world renowned scenery and Ecological reserves, national parks and UNESCO heritage sites. NOTHING boring about Newfoundland or the people
I spent 34 years living in and around Toronto, thinking I was a city guy (sin)... A quick visit to St. John's in 2014 changed all that. Been living here now 5 years last month. Best decision I ever made. Great video! Hope you enjoy(ed?) your stay. Get at me if you're interested in trying your hand at foraging ;)
I was born and raised in a small fishing community in Newfoundland of only 200 people - with 5 other communities being about a 10-20 minute drive away that had around the same amount of people. Growing up - everyone knew everyone. I was with the same class all throughout elementary and highschool - and graduated with only 50 people in my class (all of which the people are from at least 7 different communities). To say it was rural is an understatement - especially considering the closest Tim Hortons is an hour and a half drive away.
The views you’ve shown in your videos are things that I took advantage of growing up - not realizing how lucky I was to have what I had. ATVing and snowmobiling in the woods behind my house was normal, going ice skating on the pond right behind my house was something that happened every winter. Me and my friends got together on good nights and had bonfires, went for walks, camped, played spotlight. We got muddy and dirty and wet. We went swimming in ponds at 1 am on summer nights just because we were bored and it was something we had the option to do. If I opened my window at night - everything was completely silent besides the sound of the sea waves crashing against rocks outside my house and the sound of forest animals
Me, my family and friends would gather around campfires and tell stories, play music. We would drink with random people in the woods until sunrise and create amazing friendships, we’d all get together ad a community to celebrate important days. And it’s things like this that I didn’t realize how fortunate I was
I think these videos have reminded me of the beauty - and how lucky I am to call this place home so thank you.
As a Newfoundlander I can honestly say.. Job well done on showcasing all the natural beauty of our province!
Thanks Jaime!
Yes, thank you ducky!! Enjoyed the series immeasurabley!!
I have lived here in Newfoundland my entire Life..I'm am 67 years old and such a Beautiful Place..😍
Sad to see the Newfoundland episodes end, but excited to see the upcoming episodes!
It keeps getting better I promise!
Went and did western Newfoundland just in early September with my girlfriend who is from the province. What an experience! You did a great job highlighting a lot of its best parts! Looking forward to more of the series, the perfect UA-cam watch!
Thanks Zach!
Dude! Love this series on Newfoundland! It’s awesome seeing the beauty of Canada in a new and exciting way!
Your style in making it a docuseries where as you explore and showcase Canada’s beauty you’re also sharing what you are learning and how you are growing as a person and filmmaker!
Keep it up man!! Excited to see what you do in the rest of Canada!
Thanks Phil! I love this style too... I wish more people used it! Glad to have you on the ride!
Same!!
If you like this video on NL you'll probably love this series. ua-cam.com/video/Yc96GfJzm6Q/v-deo.html
Buddy does a series every year, all in NL.

Thanks so so much Colette!
Been waiting for this one. You look like you’re having so much fun, I can’t wait until I get to do something like this, the trip of a lifetime. You deserve the growth you’ve been getting. Congrats on Chapter 1 of this trip being complete!
Thanks so much man! You're awesome.
He was in Newfoundland noki, a trip of a lifetime
Duuuude I am so jealous of all the things you can do! Europe is so cold and restricted at the moment. So good you still have that opportunity.
Thanks so much Martin! We're lucky to live in the 2nd biggest country in the world with lots of outdoor activities!
As a gent from Arizona, USA...I am planning on coming there this summer as a bucket list for my 40th.
Again a great vid. It's always a good idea to pause, take a breath and of course watch a good sunset. I'm already looking forward to the videos from the next provinces. Keep it up! 😀
Thank you for sharing all of this with us. It is so informative, entertaining, and just plain fun. It is really appreciated. Can't wait for the next episode.
Thanks very much, Allan!
My mom was from Lamolin, Newfoundland and then they moved to Burin. My uncle still lives in Burin. My brother an his wife and I went there 3 years ago and spent 4 days exploring Gros Morn. So many familiar sights with this video!
Man you deserve so much more support and growth then your getting, these videos are so good, you brought back so much memories from my trip out to gros morne and around Newfoundland and I thank you for that, that boat toor was so good because when u combine the scenery and kj singing you just can’t complain. Great video again keep them up.
Hopefully the growth will continue to come! Success takes time 🙌🏻
Just had a binge watch great job!
Another awesome video Will. Wow you and Mike are having a blast. Good for you. Thanks for showing Newfoundland ! Cheers!
Bill, the fun has only just begun! 9 more provinces to go :D
@@Sprouht That is great news. If you are in the Edmonton Alberta area let me know we can all meet up! I have a good friend that has a unique Antique store and a UA-cam channel . Curiosity Inc. . I think you guys would get along great . Cheers
As a Newfoundland native it’s insane to see you visit Corner Brook, like I live there and you were there. I MIGHT OF SAW YOU, insane
Cool! Thank you guys for posting this ! Double thumb up.
Great video! The scenery is phenomenal! The people are so friendly! Love sunsets/sunrises! Love the Rattlin’ Bog song! Campfires and beaches 😊😊! In reality there is beauty all around us and like you say we just need to take the time to look and appreciate it. Thank you for the awesome video!
Loving these videos man! Keep em coming
Ugh…dude! You’re continuing to make me super homesick! Lol! I’ve never been to Gros Morne or the northern peninsula, so that’s on my list for my next trip home. I’m so thankful you are documenting my beautiful home province. So many people need to see the beauty of Newfoundland and make a trip there. They will not be disappointed…well, maybe by the weather, occasionally…lol! 😂 Thank you again for sharing your travels! I’m loving your channel. I dare you to move to Newfoundland for a year! You’ll never want to leave! I’m hoping I can move home in the next couple years when I’m done nursing school. ❤️
Hey Momma Bear, I'm from east coast of Northern peninsula. Where you from? I dare him to move to my hometown for 1 year; no cell service, no automotive/gas service, no diners/eateries, no public washrooms, no hardware store.
Great videos. Hoping to visit there next year
Hi Will, just found your channel and enjoy your enthusiasm about life, travel and exploration. You do a great job of narrating and editing your videos. Looking forward to watching other videos on your channel.
amazing video and im really excited for the next coming videos, Sprouht and DownieLive both added more values in my life, thank you guys ❤❤🙌🙌
Thanks Lamjed!
I'm absolutely loving this guys. My mother was born in Corner Brook, I was born in Stephenville, NL, but then moved to Halifax, NS, so you're covering all my bases first. Enjoy the ride. Cheers from Toronto. (Where I live now.)
I live in Deer Lake, Newfoundland. And im convinced we live in the prettiest place in the world. Awesome videos my friend. Really enjoying them
Well done my dude. Stoked for your channel growth
Thanks brother!
so lucky with the weather on western brook pond!
I know! In the whole province TBH
Beautiful videos about Newfoundland !!! I came here in 2011, never went back. Newfoundland is the "ROCK" on which I stand! Be Blessed friend.. subscribed ! thanks.
My friend your videos are absolutely amazing. And in this one you made great. Very nice job!
Thanks so much Rodrigo!
As a Newfie living in Mississauga nothing beats going home to Bell Island (the large island that you see from Topsoil beach). love seeing videos of home, make me miss it like crazy!
I live in Mississauga and want to move to NL but can't get a job there.
Western Newfoundland is awesome
Hey, Will. Just discovered your channel- really loving the content so keep up the amazing work. This series on NL was so well done, thank you for highlighting my amazing home province. Like a lot of Newfies, I had to move away and have been in Calgary for almost 20 years. A huge piece of my heart, though will always belong on the island.
Thanks so much Elizabeth!!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
You seriously deserve to have a whole television series based off of how well you make these adventurous videos! It's like i get to live vicariously through these insane experiences while also learning life lessons. how awesome. well done sprouht!!
Thanks Sherin!
Get me out of Manhattan!!! I'd be thrilled to do a switch with you!
Hey man it’s so cool to see UA-cam videos from where I’m from. Happy you enjoyed it here!
Thanks so much!
Next time your here you NEED to try "Country Delight" Best chicken takeout on the island it's in Bay Robert's.
I LOVE Newfoundland
That makes two of us, Norm!
Glad to see your enjoying your time here in Newfoundland. If you head up to the northern peninsula you should stop by roddickton and see the underground salmon hole i think you would enjoy
I love this series and seeing a different perspective on where I live
I'm also living in Ontario but originally from Bell Island, NFLD....I've always wanted to visit Gros Morne...great video! (Now I'm homesick :))
Awesome Cross-Canada journey!
Beautiful!!!!! This very hike inspired me to paint it....I titled it Ancestral Origins because this is where my family began after the old trek across the ocean from Dorset, UK.
Really?! Wow I’d love to see that. You could DM me on Instagram!
@@Sprouht TKS...I will do that. :-)
Great show
Amazing video
Thanks Tanner!
Banger 🔥
Thanks bro!
Great video as usual
Thanks Chris!
I'm actually in high school in France and in our English class we had to make a leaflet about one of the regions of Canada, and with a friend we chose Newfoundland so I did a lot of researchs on the region and after returning our work I discovered this series of vlog about Newfoundland by chance (thx YTB algorithm).
And damn ! This is amazing, you did a wonderful job capturing the beauty of each place with that very human side, quite different from our world of constant consumption but which nevertheless seems to live it very well with simplicity !
Congratz and thank you for all this ! It was a real pleasure to discover each new episode ! 💜
That's one of the best compliments! Thank you so much my friend.
Great vid!
Thanks big Ben!
That picture of the three people on top of western brook gorge is my parents and their friend
Well said Will, middle of the video. Living in Southern Ontario (Hamilton - 45 minutes south of Toronto) that hits so hard. Life here is crazy fast paced and stressful at times. A slower pace of life would probably be nice. Hence why I am thinking of Newfoundland as my new home in the next year or so…
Lard tunderin geezus b'y, we newfs are loving this.
awesome ! thumbs up
I was born in Corner Brook but I’m living in Alberta since 1992
I love how the very first on scene audio is just blaring wind. Canon
You’ve really captured the amazing beauty of these areas. Places that I wish I could go to in real life, it nice to be able to experience it in a way through your videos. I love being out in nature and Newfoundland looks like the place to be for that. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Nathan! You've got to come. Newfoundland was unreal.
Nathan, don’t wish…just go! It’s such an amazing province in this beautiful country! ❤️
Yes, do come and visit, it's an amazing place. Just be careful, or you'll end up moving here lol. I came for what was supposed to be a month 15 years ago, and ended up staying.
@Newfound news Net come on man, they’res no need of that. Take it someplace else
Nathan, if you live in Canada plan a trip to Nfld. I enjoy hearing first hand and reading about someones first trip to the Rock. It's always a positive experience. I love hearing that cause I'm from Newfoundland. I encourage anyone who is considering it, to just do it. In the end you will say; it was worth it. Pricey but worth it. Don't deny yourself this experience.
I’m living in Cb, NL I’m glad you liked it here, there’s so many amazing views!
So many!
you did Ana among job with your videos n showcasing nl . I enjoyed everyone. If you every come back I have hiked n explore most of nl . I would gladly give you a tour of the hidden gems nl has.
Every second of this insightful video was soothing. Love from Nepal 🕉💗
Thanks Amogh! I want to visit Nepal soon!
@@Sprouht Yes, please visit the country of temples and birth place of Lord Buddha. You are always welcome💗
Born and raised in NL, I live right beside Terra Nova National Park. I’m glad you guys are enjoying our beautiful province ❤️
Thanks so much Steph!
With all the time you spent in St. John's, I thought you'd show a little more of Corner Brook, the second largest city in Newfoundland. We're always overshadowed by St. John's, and there's so much here to see. I hope you come back some day to see our beautiful city and the whole Bay of Islands. We have cruise ships come to our port, especially in the fall to see the beautiful colours.
I wish I could have! I actually was only in St. John's for one full day though. Next time for CB :D
@@Sprouht The surrounding area also has some beautiful spots to check out for sure
Technically Corner Brook is the third largest city in NL ;)
Can’t forget our friends in Mount Pearl lol
Corner Brooks Population is about 31,000 & Mount Pearls is around 23,000.
Latest census information says CB has 18k and MP at 23k
Where you hiding the additional 13k people?
This is a wonderful inside view of why the West Coast of NL is wonderful... I think more wonderful than the east. 😊
These are really nice places
Ayy rocky harbour gang, let’s go!
I live on the southwest coast of NL. We have a gym, and most of us choose to walk the trails or beach or park etc. So much more enjoyable tham being in a stuffy gym 😁
You don’t truly visit Newfoundland until you experience wind like that
Facts.
Hey man Love the vids. I'm from Corner Brook Newfoundland. Been telling all my mainland friends to visit! Its hard to explain the peacefulness you experience when up at the cabin by the water without a care in the world. If you ever want to come back and see the hunting and cabin side of this province hit me up! Would love to show you.
David, send them these videos! That'll convince them to come!
I honestly plan to travel so much in my own country if Canada when I’m older and this channel is just helping me get prepared😈🥰🥰🥰
Great series on NL mate, wasn’t really on my bucket list to visit when heading back to Canada but you’ve Defo sparked my interest! Would have to be a summer trip tho, hahahaha. Winter in Ontario was tough can only imagine how rough they would be there.
Bring on Nova Scotia !
Oh, you simply must visit here...... One of the most beautiful places you'll ever see
It's well worth the trip Peter!
I love the west coast of Newfoundland. It always was home and always will be I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else 🙂
underated vid
I live right across the road from the heart shape pond in Robinson’s
I love this
Has a fellow Newfie, I'm loving your NFLD Content my buddy
Thanks Cody!
Buddy I knows your not from either PAB or actually near gros morne.
Another great video. Was the French language you heard different from Montreal French?
Yes! Very much so.
Hey I don’t know if you know this or not, but there are actually plenty of caves in Corner Brook! You can tours down into them last I heard.
My hometown is inside Gros Morne national park. It is beautiful there.
Gorgeous!
I would love to go visit Newfoundland eventually... exactly to do what you did... go to the further point of the province and look at the ocean thinking on the other side, this is Ireland or France or Portugal, you know? that should be sooo cool and overpowering (is that the correct word? I'm from Québec so French is my first language.)
I'm on the west coast of NL!!
The captain was also my High School principle back in the 80's :-)
Wow! What a small world
@@Sprouht It is, glad you enjoyed your time here.
great job, dude. Thanks very much for all the fantastic outside perspective. CornerBrook resembles Beverly Hills. Priceless. As a resident, I very much enjoyed your thoughts on our incredible island and we appreciate the independent publicity.
BTW, I was wondering, do you guys have a (google) map of all the place you are driving to or have been to?
I wrote them in the description!
ferry ride NS!!!
Have you been to Deer Lake yet?
please make a long series in Vancouver island
I will note it!
Do make a whole video on Winnipeg , Manitoba
Okay fine!
I live in Newfoundland St. John’s and Think you should go to St. John’s
But ya been around da bay for a shed party with da bys ?🤷🏻♂️ lol
Just wondering why you didn't go to northern Newfoundland. Like St.anthony or go visit the Vikings in L'Anse aux Meadows
I wish I had the time to Keith. It's so far that it's a trip in itself!
It’s kinda funny bc I live here and hearing someone praise it as a wonderland is weird bc this is just my daily life
West coast best coast baby. Best place in the world
Pretty great!
They both have their positives. I live in Vancouver now but was raised in Newfoundland and New Brunswick. The people in the maritimes are the nicest you’ll ever meet. Our seafood is also second to none. Vancouver has beautiful hikes and scenery but the people are not the friendliest
LMAO only Gros Morne looks like that, rear of Newfoundland is VERY different, because of smaller hills
You would’ve went up by mistaken point
Pirate’s haven is my neighbour
A pity you guys weren't able to do Labrador...like the road from Blanc-Sablon, across Labrador to Baie-Comeau and all those little communities along that route. But, another trip for another day. Also from preview...glad to see you didn't skip Route 132 in QC...did that in 2019...EPIC!!
Labrador will be saved for another trip!
Yes, Labrador even more beautiful. And Yukon more beautiful yet.
