I suggest this as a great pump as a minimum if you are looking to purchase a sand filter pump for this pool www.ebay.com.au/itm/530-gal-GPH-Bestway-Flowclear-Sand-Filter-Pump-For-Above-Ground-Swimming-Pools/171986401373?epid=2297983667&hash=item280b30385d:g:nC0AAOSwO6hduI5H:sc:AU_StandardDelivery!4132!AU!-1
EFFICIENTSELF would a better quality pump than the one included work with seawater? Right next to a (not very appealing) coastline here, wondering about the salt in the water as our pressure is minimal.
@aleeza you can use the pump that comes with pool but it’s next to useless. You will need to clean the filter everyday and need to run it all the time and it still struggles to keep the water clean. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
This is a ripper review mate. I just got one today and will use the pump it came with for a week or so and upgrade. The chlorine tip is very helpful. Thanks a bunch for taking time out of your day for interested people 👍
Thank you. I have just bought a bestaway 10ft round pool.. Do I have to buy a pump .If so what would you suggest ? and how much chlorine do i need ? cheers
jojo . There is a pump already in the box but they not much good.. the filter need to be cleaned out daily. If you gonna leave this pool setup I suggest a sand pump you can get from eBay www.ebay.com.au/itm/530-gal-GPH-Bestway-Flowclear-Sand-Filter-Pump-For-Above-Ground-Swimming-Pools/171986401373?epid=2297983667&hash=item280b30385d:g:nC0AAOSwO6hduI5H:sc:AU_StandardDelivery!4132!AU!-1. Have a look on eBay for this size sand filter as they don’t need much maintaining. Also you need a bag of filter sand from a pool shop to put inside and that will last for years. I’m on my third pool but have the same sand filter pump going on 4 years. I put around 1.5 litres chlorine to start off with then add about 500ml (half litre) per day .hope this helps . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
I have seen other intex pools not stand up as high as yours, practically the walls are on the floor. What is the best way to make them stay up correctly? Thinking about purchasing one
Just add more water and inflate the top ring . When the walls are on the ground it’s just not enough water in the pool. These are a great pool for a small budget. . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
How did you manage to go underwater in just 24" (60cm) of water? I'm thinking of using a bungee tether on myself at my pool so I can do swimming exercises in it. Is only 60 deep enough to do swimming workouts on a bungee tether without scraping my hands on the bottom? I know that this is not the design that BestWay had in mind, but I would want to improvise on a budget to swim at my backyard. Maybe later, I can definitely upgrade to an iPool, which is sold out until August.
I bought one had ready somewhere up to 1'inch or so not leveled is still fine...any thoughts on this? The instructions says 0⁰deg :-/ now I'm not sure if I fill it or just return. I''m not able to level my floor as it is currently with artificial lawn. Thank u!! Great review.
Mine is not level . It is lower on one side by 25mm approx (1 inch). Just don’t fill it to the top. I have not had a problem only when heavy rain and the pool fills to the top . Just let some water out before getting in. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
No bud it will be same depth . The deeper pool is I think by memory 122cm where you will need a pool ladder to get into it . I had one about 3 years ago and they are generally the steel frame model. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF If it's that cold now (in the middle of June) where you live in and with that accent in the video an, I'm guessing you might be living in someplace in Down Under. Either Australia or New Zealand? Ain't that right mate?
I bought my pool at my local hardware store. Can't wait to get it open it tomorrow. I'm sure nowadays, they are flying off the shelves more this summer because of the pandemic. Even though public pools and beaches in my state (Florida) are open with restrictions, at least now I can say that my pool completes my nice backyard puzzle.
Yes. You can use the testing strips to check or take a small sample to your local pool shop and they can test for you. Mine has been good just adding 500mls liquid chlorine per day and pump running 6 hours per day with my sand pump. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF your welcome. I mean unless you just dont wanna fool with it. That be just a tenner a year to swim. Hope this helps save you some money..i know 50 aint much but if you can stretch that 50 amen
Totally agree with you mate when I did this video I did not expect the pool to last for the season. But it exceeded my expectations. I did a video before this one on the steel frame pool and it only last 6 months as the frame rusted out and it had cost me $129 . Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments and keep safe 👍🍻

i ordered one today!! i’m so excited to enjoy the rest of summer with this pool!! we’re a family of six is the 10x30 a good size?
I would go the 12 foot round being 6 but if you can only afford the smaller one it will do the same job at half the price. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

@@EFFICIENTSELF i know we had a metal frame before we bought the quick set. They are AMAZING!! And stay safe mate!!
Our pool was 100$ the 12 by 30in deep the natal frame we had was 15 by 33in and was 170$ the legs rusted badly and the pump leaked.
Could have made a mini fountain with that pump.
That’s a fair point . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

Do Intex filters work on these pools?
They do but I found the sand filter are much better and require lot less maintenance
EFFICIENTSELF the pump I want to order says 32mm size pipes do u know the hose fittings for the 12x30 pool???
32mm sounds about right
EFFICIENTSELF great would u say that best way and Intex and the same pools overall ??
Yes the same
So you threw the pump away and then installed the pump?
Threw the pump that came with the pool and used another separate sand pump I purchased prior to this pool. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
