Thanks for sharing this .. I’ve owned a 954 since 2004, beautiful bikes but I could never ride it anywhere near as quick as you… that lap must’ve felt great.. well done. Stay safe my friend 🤜🤛
Bloody hell! Nice riding! Gave me sweaty palms just watching that, and it also reminded me how i used to ride my Fireblade before i sold it in 2007, don't think i have the bottle to do it all over again Lol. Lovely bikes the 954, last ones to have Tadao Baba's input, definetly the one i'd choose when my mid-life crisis comes along! :)
thanks, yeah with that equipment i was getting close to the edge. this year i have some significant upgrades though, will be going there this weekend!!
Very good lap sir.. I have an 03 954' and thought I was quick but not as fast as you, great lines throughout the track, I read some of your replies and I hear your beginning to race! All the very best with your racing and if you ride like this I'm sure you'll be on the podium... Regards from Scotland!!!
Thanks, the bike doesn't have a steering damper. Initially it was a real headshaker but i increased rear damping and reduced front rebound to address that problem. A steering damper just slows you down anyway ;-)
Dude is laying on his side doing 150+ 🤯 I've been riding for almost 20 years and I have owned this exact bike in the past but when I'm doing 150 I'm tucked not leaning nowhere lol
Im impressed :) ! Its as bumpy as one of our tracks (look up baskerville track day tasmania) and has smooth long sections like ( Symmons plains track day tasmania) Great riding, and coping well with the head shake on the rougher sections !
Wow that's an awesome track, what a view!!! too bad for the bumpy ride though, it looks like they could use a re-surfacing. Nurburgring isn't that bad, they just don't have room for run-off area's like in Australia ;)
Big credit, great lap - all the parts where I think you're going to lift because you're not on GT - you don't!!! Very very brave, I know it well in the virtual world but yet to get there on the bike (just downgraded from my 08 R1 to an 02 954 for this very reason). Have to say having had a 929 (also brilliant) before - a steering damper is a must to be doing what you're doing - all the same Mr Baba always said the bike didn't need one and you've demonstrated that - nice lap....!
thanks!! virtual laps account for a lot of what i'm doing up there, without them i would have spent alot more learning money. Try to get there this summer, you'll have a blast! Greetings from Belgium
Dude, this is sik. What a ride man...how many times have you raced there? looks like you know the track well. I've got the same bike (02) but man in my dreams be able to go there. Great ride, be safe.
Well one, the RC51 is a V-Twin with good low-mid range torque/acceleration, and 2 the 954 is an Inline 4 revving until redline where most of the power is up top but liter bikes have good low down torque as well
Nice riding-who says 954 aren't as quick as current litre bikes!? I'd be interested to know what suspension you're running-looks pretty composed and stable for what is essentially a road circuit..?
fuelling seems a bit lumpy. is that the bumpy road surface giving that impression? or does the bike just splutter a bit at high revs? lovely cornering by the way. smooth and planted. bit choppy on the throttle =). practice makes perfect, and i can imagine the bumpy surface makes throttle control tricky. good lap!
fueling was off indeed, well noticed!! powercommander made a HUGE difference in the high revs, a lot smoother and way more powerful now. I was also struggling with throtlle control so i installed an activ short throttle. Way less hand travel and no more sore wrists. Went there 2 weeks ago but track opened later than expected and i was only able to ride two laps... my only satisfaction were these two pics imgur.com/a/43uI3 . next trip planned in July, Greetings!
MrWillemdr yeah i've got a power commander as well. makes a big difference for evening out flat spots. nice pics by the way. good colour scheme on the honda. ride safe! enjoy the track =)
yeah, this was in the summer of 2013, we'll see what's possible in 2014, i have done a lot of upgrades on suspension so i hope to finish in the 30's. But it mostly depends on the traffic and the accidents actually...
Oh hell o I be way back their somewhere lol its a great ride ad I hate those kawas lol my brother 06 zx 10 was a beast however I didn't like it that much , the other vid says fastest lap ever recorded at 7.50 that's all lol Did you change the gearing on your bike and is it stoke standard, what can you do to soup the cbrs up not that it needs it really
+Mallydawg i changed the gearing indeed, so speed was off by 10%. Gearing is a good option, full exhaust system also of course, other than that, change the front and rear suspension for better tyre life. 6 laps and the rear tyre was gone on the nurburgring...
JOHN NETTING I had a street triple r too, traded it in on a Harley. The Harley is great, but now I miss sport riding so I’m going to add the 954 to the stable. Hearing you say that makes feel good on getting the 954. I had fun on the STR too though.
Really nice riding.Do you posses a race license? Your 954 really does perform very well and you handle it very smoothly, have you ever raced professionally? Ex-circuit rider?
Thanks!! i don't have a racing license. I rode my first race this summer actually and will be doing so for the next few years to come. If you want to improve you definitely have to start to race. Everybody rides a faster pace and you learn a lot more while doing so! Kind regards from Belgium!
Thank you for responding, and I wish you the greatest of luck with your racing career. I am very sure you will be very successful indeed! Once again all the best from UK.
Bravo pilot.!!! What modifications the bike carries? development? I have a cbr 954 but your bike accelerates unbeatably. Congratulations and many thanks
Should explain; my 02 954 (yellow blue not y/black, for thoie in the know) only tweaked at the pipe is the rawest machine you'll meet. It's just got more of everything. Except hazard lights:-)
Mateusz : I don't live there so I needed a couple of years. I also did a 7min15 with a new fireblade, that took me about 6 weeks. i've been coming there for 10 years now. totalled one blackird and one fireblade there also...
Thanks for such a quick response !:) I am planning to buy my first 929 this summer but it is too far away from Warsaw to go there. At least for now :) Have you trained on other tracks too or only on ring ?
Mateusz : other tracks as Well, zolder, Spa, Zandvoort, Mettet... buy a 954 if you can! a lot better throttle response. ,929 was the first injection bike from Honda
MrWillemdr I just like 929 look and i think it is better than 954 which like for me is ugly :P so like for first sportbike i think it would be good enough and if it wont i can always sell it and buy something else :)
hi, indeed it is pretty composed. you'll be surprised to hear that it's almost completely stock suspension. I only changed the front springs. standard they are 7.1kgs/mm; i changed to 9.5 kgs/mm. I also set the sag up correctly front and rear. Front compression, 0.25 turn open, front rebound 1.25 turns open. Rear completely stock and same settings as front. This gives you an extremely stable bike, but this setup will eat up the rear tire because of the limitations of the stock rear suspension
Bro, I'm getting a 954RR as my first bike, I will pay you to teach me to drive like this. I've ridden machines all my life but this is gonna be a rush.
I just bought a 954 in March but it’s not my first bike and just FYI it’s not a beginner bike... if I was you I’d start with a 600 and get it down before jumping on a big bike bro
awesome, i think you would give ghost rider a run for his money!-) i have a 929 coming wednesday, hopefully she is half as confidence inspiring as that!
I may buy a fast moto in near future. But... when I think about "Moto" I think about loong travel too. @ days traveling.. or more. So... I would like to know if a long travel with mota like that, my back would pain. Maybe it's not a right moto to many many hours traveling, right? Hugs!
one of the fastest touristenfahrten I´ve ever seen on a motorcycle...hell of a ride!
Thanks for sharing this .. I’ve owned a 954 since 2004, beautiful bikes but I could never ride it anywhere near as quick as you… that lap must’ve felt great.. well done.
Stay safe my friend 🤜🤛
As owner of the 954rr, i can attest, it's a crazy ass bike
I second that as a 954rr owner too...
As a new to the club owner of an ‘03 954, I concur
Love the overtake indicator left on for the whole ride. Man on mission.
also ALOT lighter than the new ones, i do not regret my choice :)
AWESOME!!!! Maximum respect! under8 with no TC no AW and a 13 years old bike!!!
Its ok
I think Michael Dunlops Ghost rides with him😉✌
He would still be able to get better time but carrying balls this size with him adds alot of weight to the bike
He got a bull's balls
assjåm jender ????
😆 I would never even think, that that bike can do this
I could not look away.Bloody marvelous.Take care, you are on the edge as i am sure you know.
thanks, yeah with that equipment i was getting close to the edge. this year i have some significant upgrades though, will be going there this weekend!!

Awesome ride! I like the 954.
Reply to my reply...two years later and a 954 will be in my garage very soon!!!
and do you have a 954 in your garage??
@@sodamnstrong7234 Haha, I did. Enjoyed it for a few years, then sent it to a good home. On a KTM Super Duke R now.
@@kmfiz wow cool! congrats!!
So now i know what my cbr954rr is capable of. I just need to download rider upgrade 4.0 and maybe i will get even close. Maybe not.
I’m happy seeing my bikes limits in this presentation . I think I prefer my 954 to be ‘unknowable’ 😂
@@joetrosclair8434 yes, let's keep it as the unsung hero to enthusiasts and pocket friendly bikers.
Thanks, the bike doesn't have a steering damper. Initially it was a real headshaker but i increased rear damping and reduced front rebound to address that problem. A steering damper just slows you down anyway ;-)
cool, what fork oil do you run?
Very fast lap on an older bike. Goes to show that you do not need 200bhp bike to be fast. Well done.
This video still impresses me til this day man , holy shit
Superb riding...really really quick.
Wow!! Great ride man! That looks like an absolute blast.
Best fireblade of all time 🎉
I'm pretty sure that You know the track very well. Flawless riding!
954 forever
Dude is laying on his side doing 150+ 🤯 I've been riding for almost 20 years and I have owned this exact bike in the past but when I'm doing 150 I'm tucked not leaning nowhere lol

very nice riding, I hope I will have the chance to ride on Nurburgring one day...
Thanks, go for it, it's a must!! but practise on gran turismo before you go there ;)
Im impressed :) ! Its as bumpy as one of our tracks (look up baskerville track day tasmania) and has smooth long sections like ( Symmons plains track day tasmania)

Aren't you supposed to be rev matching while downshifting or is that just unnecessary?
Sauber gefahren 👍👍👍👍Respekt
You have got skills!
Like a BOSS! 👍🏼
I'm not even sure I could beat you in Mario Kart 😳 and that I'm usually sure of. Excellent riding my dude! 🤘😎
Big credit, great lap - all the parts where I think you're going to lift because you're not on GT - you don't!!! Magnificent !
Lucky bastard! Some good corner attacking there. Great bike
Dobry kozak
Ongelooflijk....waar heeft U zo leren rijden? 💪
Bedankt! Heb ik op straat en op allerhande circuits in de benelux geleerd :-)
@MrWillemdr Dan ben je m.i. een natuurtalent. Misschien eens denken over je carrière. Ik ben i.i.g. een fan 😀
sir.. do you ridden a rc51? what there difference between the 954rr
Well one, the RC51 is a V-Twin with good low-mid range torque/acceleration, and 2 the 954 is an Inline 4 revving until redline where most of the power is up top but liter bikes have good low down torque as well
that is some seriously crazy fast shit man. hats off to you.
Damn, what a rider!
Nice ride man,respect
Fireblade heaven
Great ride
What a moped! Well done Man!
Impressive!
Sounds like a lawnmower on crack-cocaine. Fast as all get out though, good stuff.
Haha great choice of words😂True tho
Great riding 👌
Nice riding-who says 954 aren't as quick as current litre bikes!? I'd be interested to know what suspension you're running-looks pretty composed and stable for what is essentially a road circuit..?
hi, which tyres did you use on this drive?
Awesome stuff
fuelling seems a bit lumpy. is that the bumpy road surface giving that impression? or does the bike just splutter a bit at high revs?

great bike, needs a little work on suspension to make it go fast though
I wish I had never sold mine. My Street triple R is just no comparison!

SC50 Lightwaight with Power !

Thanks, of course, and a LOT of gran turismo :)

For me 7.39...there was some traffic ...🤟👍
there's always traffic 😑
check my cbr1000rr video. that would've been the record without the traffic...
Damn Nice Riding skills.
