Very nice techniques! I've been painting horses like this: After a basecoat of a dark brown, I do a light dry brush of SILVER, being careful to only brush in the direction of hair growth of the horse (this will generally follow the curvature of the muscles); afterwards, I do a top layer of chestnut ink. This simulates the shiny effect you see when a horse has been running or working hard.

Normally all horses have the mane and their tail having the same colour.
It will look more natural if you respect that detail
Thanks, just going off the colour variations that i see on Google/Pinterest with the different colours and variations, especially the tricoloured horses.
Horwesome!
dammit i should have made that the Thumbnail title haha
Thank Your, great tutorial. But the soundtrack is to loud and hits my ears. unnessesary.
Black horses are the the worst to paint, ring wraith mounts.
I think not only that, but they were a bit annoying to put tighter, there is such a huge gap between the metal components. I do need to get some for myself, and I have black horses for a video idea too :):)
@@SwordsandBrushes I've just painted the new plastic witch king minature well I've built it as the bog standard wraith on horse .
Basically I went for black blue highlights on the horse and for the wraith grey black with bone to mix in the black so both are different in tones .
Sounds good! That new witch king on horse mini is lovely, i built one up over the weekend a i love the pose of it!
