On average we get around 3x more a year (based on 6k in the late 70s and 19k now on the lower end of the scale), essentials such as bread have seen a higher increase from around 30p to £1.10 and private rent in particular is extortionate, £500 or so a month just to rent a bedroom where this used to get you a 2 bedroom flat 10 years ago maybe even a house. I can see why kids are worried.
Everything needs to scale back down. Stagnation is real in individuals income (job salary). Back in the 90s & early 2000s my dad was able to be the sole full time workers for my family of 4 from a normal salary being a Joiner. Now if I wanted to do the same or earned similar to him back then or what that industry now pays you can no longer individually afford to live & in provide for yourself not to mention a family of 3+ people.
Ban ALL housing
Whatever we vote, none of them will actually help the general population with anything. Our option from any angle is to choose from lying cowards.
