Listen to Echoes, from the Live in Gdansk album. It's here on UA-cam. It was the final performance of Echoes as Rick Wright, the keyboard player sadly passed away and David Gilmour retired the song saying he wouldn't play it without Rick. To date it is still the best concert I have ever been to and I have been to many concerts from Iron Maiden to Judas Priest. There was no opening act and the best thing was they played the entire Dark Side of the Moon album in order. I get chills thinking about it, lol. They had the biggest disco ball I've ever seen and it felt like you were drifting in outer space, then it opened up and gave off this even cooler effect. I'll never forget that experience. It's sucks they never went on tour again. I would say the natural choice for you next Pink Floyd song would be TIME. Music may never be the same for you guys again after hearing Pink Floyd. But it must be the album track with Clare Torry. She adlibbed the whole thing live in the studio and Floyd didn't want to give her credit. She went to court and sued and after years and years, she finally won and got what she deserves for one of the greatest performances ever recorded.

There is a world of difference between you nice young ladies and me, a much experienced old man. I was fortunate enough to be born in a time when this band (Pink Floyd) was developing and rising. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to see them live. I was familiar with this tune for years and I liked it. I finally got to see this performance for the first time about 25 years ago on VHS tape. Ya know, my reaction was very much like yours. The hair on my neck stood up. I sat forward in my chair. At the finale, I shed a small tear. I have watched it a thousand times now and still love every second of it.

1st time visitor...and my favourite reaction to this classic (I've seen them all, trust me)...the little one on the left, bless you, you reminded me of myself when I first heard this...falling into a trance by the spell being woven then at 12:40, caught like a fish by Gilmours guitar, the penny drops and at 14:08, the eyes rolled up and you were in heaven and looking like a Pink Floyd veteren (someone needs to buy you a guitar I think)...brilliant...and the smiling girl on the right, just wait when you hear High Hopes from the same concert, your tears will flow like a river, don't fight it, just let it blend into what you hear...thank you, loved the reaction...and oh yes...subscribed...enjoy the journey you two. You are listening to Floyd! Unreal, right?! Their music is like a soundtrack to the soul. Their album Dark Side Of The Moon was # 1 in the US for over a decade. I honestly hope to enjoy more of you ladies explore the great musical journey of Pink Floyd. They are high art. Just a heads up, a lot of their albums are meant to be listened to start to finish as the songs are like chapters in a book, they all bleed into one another. So don’t worry when you see comments about how you need to do full albums. I hope you do what is fun and enjoyable for you, just my 2 cents. I’m so jealous you get to hear them for the first time. I really hope you will be able to listen and react to their catalogue . I think you’d like Echoes live in Pompeii (you get to see the band in their youth and David Gilmour is fine as can be), any and every song on Dark Side of the Moon, “Wish You Were Here”, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”,”Dogs”, “Fat Old Sun”, “Have A Cigar” and too many more to list. This is music people will still be talking about 100 years from now, they are that good and they make you THINK. So much love and thanks to you ladies for plugging into Pink Floyd. Rock on my lovelies ❤️

Pink Floyd might be the greatest live concert bands of all time. They are the predominant headphone band of all time. These 4 albums are the cream of the crop, you can argue about the order but this is how I list them 1. 'The Dark Side of the Moon' (1973) 2. 'Wish You Were Here' (1975) 3. 'The Wall' (1979) 4. 'Animals' (1977)

Hi guys. I wish I was your age again and listening to this for the first time. You have just watched what has been widely regarded as the best guitar solo of all time. The story behind the song is the original bass guitarist and songwriter Roger Waters was feeling unable to perform before a concert in Philadelphia and a local doctor was called in and injected him with something to get him through the show. He wrote this about feeling comfortably numb throughout the show and cannot remember much of the show. A bit of trivia is that Pink Floyd's album Dark Side Of The Moon is the longest running album in in the Billboard Top 200 albums sitting at nearly 1000 weeks. That's nearly 20 years! The next album is about 500 weeks. The DSOTM album needs to listened to as a whole, as it tells a story where each song builds the story in sequence. You need to listen to it from start to finish. Have fun on your journey. ❤️

The younger of the girls really gets it, she really understands the music, she sees the beauty and feels the emotion, I think she may have a first class intellect! Unlike many people I have more faith in our children than I do in my generation. I saw Floyd live in concert in 1977 (Animals) when venues were smaller and it was the classic line-up including Roger Waters, I count myself lucky. I think the girls should listen to Wish You Were Here, the whole album in one go, in comfy chairs with excellent headphones.
