Take a ride on Journey To Atlantis, a water coaster with a height of 100 ft. There isnt much to this one like ones in San Diego & Orlando but it does have a unique elements for this one such as 2 turntables which spins you more then 360 degrees on each side to get a view the whole park & you even drop backwards at one point. You then drop and get wet or even soaked as you splash into the water at SeaWorld San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

The atlantis ride is better at seaworld orlando. It had two drops in it

I rode this a couple of times. It's actually a lot more fun than it seems, but it needs to be longer with more stuff going on. The last drop, of course, is the best part.

Well Orlandos version has the best of the dark ride and drop but San Diegos version has the best coaster section.
So, to get this right, you get a slow trip forwards. Then you get turned around and a sorta fast trip backwards. Then you get turned around again and get a trip into standard water splash.......wow.......yarn.
It's for people who like the view and water

Death, that was my eight year old son's comment about 450 degrees and 90. We just got back from San Antonio and he LOVED that ride. Thanks for posting so he can relive it!

Floridas sea world one takes you on a roof and drops you and then people can squirt you with water and such
Imagine if Disney decided to build "Splash Mountain" at another park, but instead of cloning the exact blueprints for the ride, they created a shorter less imaginative layout with no theming, no animatronics and two turntables. This ride is exactly the equivalent to that.
Whoever approved this had to be tripping absolute balls.

Park: We want a ride like Orlando’s Journey to Atlantis...minus the theming, story and coaster drop elements.
Engineers: We got you fam.
Orlando has the best themeing, San Diego has the best coaster section. I wish more could've been done with the San Antonio one though, it seems really short and not as themed as the other two.
The one in Florida actually has a story, which makes it more fun
why the hell does it turn 450 degrees when it could just as easily turn just the 90 degrees needed?!

Cherry Sans I know but I read some other comments and they were saying Dallas' Seaworld was trash compared to Orlando's. I was just wondering if you had the same thoughts or not. Opinions can be good, bad or neutral.

Dancingqueen2700 it's not bad they just lack some things the other parks don't. I like that they have more coasters then SeaWorld San Diego but part of that is the coastal commission and the sixty having a hight restriction of 30 ft. When they built Mantis roller coaster they had to go below ground to utilize more of the track so that when it did the hills it wasn't above 30 ft
I think Orlando is the best out of the three. It is themed from the time you step in the line, to the time you get off the ride. There is a story as well. The one in San Diego has somewhat of a story, but is more of a coaster. This look like a bunch of people threw some coaster parts together and called it a ride...
at first I thought this was exactly the same ride as "Atlantica SuperSplash" at Europa-Park in Germany

I just watched the 3 different versions, it’s crazy how different they are from each other. Basically just 3 almost completely different rides with the same name.

this ride always feels unfinished to me when I ride it. their has to have been a reason for the 360s but as is its so unnecessary, six flags down the road has the same ride without the spins.
The 360’s is so that it takes up time that way the two boats don’t hit each other
@@kassisomers1530 He means there should a reason in the context of the theme for the spins to be there. There’s no reason they couldn’t have just put a small MCBR there and a normal turn. The spins are unnecessary.

Guys, espicially all those who say this is a lame ride, please don't complain. Think about some kids who can't even get to experience a amousement park at all. And some countries, like where I live in (which is Singapore), we only have 2 amusements + 1 water theme parks. Adventure Cove, Universal Studios Singapore and Wild Wild Wet. So really, this ride is really awesome.

I've been on this and it's so much fun
I went to Sea World with my friends and like just 5 of us (including me) out of 16 of us went on here, and it was my first time. To be honest, when it was slowly going up, I was regretting it. But it was pretty fun, and the drop was horrifying yet pretty cool. When you land in the water below, you just know that you did it and you feel pretty proud of yourself! I remember when I let out a scream and I couldn't breathe for 2 seconds during the drop down. xD

For this ride it was a Sony TX10 which is waterproof.
well I guess they were trying for a view of the whole park but I guess they could of spinned it the other way so clockwise and have it be backwards and drop.That way it wouldnt of Rotated so much. Then for the second rotation spin it counter clockwise and just not do a full rotation spin cause you pretty much see the same thing on both sides.
The one in Orlando is so much better. It's inside a giant pyramid that has a roller coaster portion (in the dark with hidden drops and near vertical banks).

Went on that ride in Sea World San Diego when it first opened up in 2004. Never forgot the experience when I was seven-and-a-half years old.
Oh my gosh i remember the firdt time i got on this ride. I was like 5 and cried the whole time. i havent been on the ride now that im older but im pretty sure i'll enjoy it way more since i like roller coasters 😂😂😂
I live in San Antonio and I can say the Bugs Bunny water ride is way better than Atlantis

This ride is just a copy of the "Atlantica Supersplash" in the Europapark in Germany. It is even from the same Company, called Mack Rides. Funfact: The Europapark is run by Mack Rides.

I had 3 opportunities to go on this ride way back when. All 3 I had to exit the line all for different reasons and never got a chance to get back in line.

A Mack product. I didn't know that Mack Rides builds the same roller coasters for other parks. The original roller coaster is called Atlantica Supersplash and is located in Europa Park in Germany.

The ride is basically a boat-ster: looooong lift, vinyl turntable, bunny hop, vinyl turntable again, and basically the highlight which is the 100 ft drop. As much as Splash Mountain is SUPERIOR to this when it comes to scenery and storylines, the drop is twice as high. And the scenery from the top is rather breathtaking. They could've done a lot better with the concept.

idky u guys be hating on it .....it's a ride that is family friendly the drops aren't supposed to be hardcore...their is a little area where u stand when the boat goes down so u can get wet that's where I go all the time stop criticizing

that ride is basically the same as tidal wave at Thorpe Park but Tidal Wave is bigger and better and there is a slash zone that you can go under and you get SOAKED!
