a lot of ppl actually underestimate gutsbuster is actually a real good primary for argo mechanics main such as myself as one of them the main point for it is having your sentry distract your opponent or you distract your opponent while the sentry do the dmg and u do mini crits during that moment if ur good at dodging then this weapon is legit almost one of the best (in my opinion)
this gun is almost a direct upgrade from stock, it deals the same damage and allows you to have mini crits for free if you can aim good, on the other hand the inability to crit is negligible cause since it is a primary for the mechanic because you wont usually get crit boosted by a med and the building vulnerability usually only affects mini sentries because its health is reduced to 93 and stock sentries have a decent amount of health and if rolve removes the building vulnerability then it would be a direct upgrade, maybe they could buff it to be a 33% damage vulnerability on your sentry since it is the gimmick of the weapon.
Gutbuster is actually good for the opposite reason: the fact you can outrun bosses in vsb for long enough if you’re good enough, can’t find another purpose anywhere else.
The Gutbuster Mini Sentry Combo is so strong it’s banned in competitive matches. And the Mini Sentry itself is weak which means the 33% building vulnerability isn’t that big of a deal because your sentry will already die quickly. Using these two makes Mechanic and offensive powerhouse. I would of mentioned the Dragons Fury. The Dragons Fury physically cannot hit enemies consistently meaning it’s main upside is almost completely useless ontop of slower airblast and less consistent damage. Everything on the Dragons Fury is inconsistent.
The cold shoulder isn’t bad, deploy speed debuffs are so minuscule and you most of the time won’t be pulling it out as an emergency since flanker is great in close range. Not only that, but the blinding effect isn’t just some useless annoyance like the ink from Mario kart, it blocks the main part of the screen in a game where things are constantly moving, whereas you could just use the mini map or, just shrug it off with the ink
Update! Gutbuster and Cold Shoulder have had a few buffs and changes in general happen to them so maybe make a new vid about this? Also movement in general has changed so a lot of options are out there now
I was surprised to find the gutbuster on the list. If you're playing with the gunslinger it's incredibly similar to stock, and if you get your sentry up in a good spot you can make pretty good use from the mini-crits. The only real downside is that troopers can reliably one-shot the mini with any rocket launcher now, and you are significantly weaker if you get crits for some reason. While it isn't a great weapon, I wouldn't place it as one of the top 5 worst in the game. I'd be fine with a small buff to it though, maybe an accuracy bonus and/or sentry range increase so it's easier to get use from the upside. The others are very deserving of their placements though. Really surprised the quick draw didn't find itself a slot, as it is what I'd personally call the worst weapon in TC2. The Southern Hospitality and Soda Popper are up there too.
As mechanic main who played a 5 months,noisy cricket can be really usefull if you know how to combat.I used to buy 1st pack as mechanic is "future technologies" and after comboing some ppls,I really loved this
the spray pattern on NC is bs because when i get close the enemy it never registered,,,, i was so confused. btw i rather use atock pistol for good damage

TBh, in a direct gunfight and someone already took the ammo, the Noisy Cricket can be a viable last resort weapon for battle engineers running the Widowmaker and gunslinger.
I'd say the noisy cricket's only use is probably in vsb since health and ammo packs are limited unless you have a dispenser or a medic which yes this kinda makes noisy cricket a bad one in vsb but bosses can destroy you're dispensers and all of you're other buildings and that's kinda the way I see the use of the noisy cricket

As a gutbuster main, (aka its my go to shotgun as mechanic), i would disagree. It is perfect for battle mechanic, or if you just don't have time to get a level 3 sentry up. Because if the enemy team is uncoordinated and only go in 1 at a time (very common) you will easily kill them thanks to the damage buff and damage from the sentry. the 33% building vulnerability just makes it even more suited for battle mechanic, because hey, if everyone is dead, who'll destroy your buildings?
gotta say, the cold shoulder is basically useless when i can just shoot the bastard andrun in with a bat or a fish to finish the job the snowball is only used from trolling

In defense of icicle and noisy criket Noisy was my favorite weapon as mechanic before i got my strange pistol, if you have bad coordination in your team, and you play battle engineer, Which i usualy am, addictional couple bits of metal is always good, and unlike windowmaker, it Doesnt consume metal and can be used on long/medium distances Icicle: it benefits gun agent, alot, like in tf2, but unlike Tf2, you dont need to hold it, i survive encounters with arsonists alot more with it rather than without it
Replace noisy cricket soda popper because using that weapon is unbearable while noisy cricket can be good in mid combat building and also with the widowmaker

The crankenstein is good , actually. Having a weapon thats basically a direct upgrade from stock as long as you have full health is very handy. Just treat it as you would treat a shotgun cannon , charge it before you run into the ennemy frontline and hammer away with it. Youll be golden as long as you dont miss your shots

spycicle was useful when pyro did damage, decent pyros only use shotguns for dps my top 5 would be: 1: witches brew (everyone can see you on the map, ur dead if the enemy team isn't braindead) easily fixed by making the marked for death not visible to the enemy team. 2: six point shuriken (shit in every way, huge direct downgrade from stock) 3: spyicicle (explained) 4: galway greaves (demoknight is unplayable unless ur against braindead players) 5: market gardener (what did they do to my boy, knockback vulnerability AND can't even one shot scout with a teeny bit of overheal) also candy cane is bugged, u can't pickup ammo unless ur gun has 0 ammo, which makes it significantly worse 20% holster speed for a ball that blinds is a W trade, idk what u babbling about
Six point shuriken is an amazing tool if paired with the wrap assasin and the bfb to build up boost or shortstop to get the meters back or soda popper to build up hype. The witches brew is legitimately one of the most fun items in the game but yeah i can agree that it does suck a lot when you litteraly have a melee weapon that inflicts marked for death , and the galway greaves kind act as gunboats for the sticky jumper , as in its only useful on that weapon and that weapon only.
