I think Lovebites are throwing metal a lifeline. There are hundreds of metal bands competing to be the most angry, dark, harsh and depressing, and it's getting really boring. Who would have thought that metal could be inspiring, beautiful and uplifting? Lovebites are like a supernova in the night sky. We are so lucky to witness it.
It should be illegal to have so much talent in one band. They are incredible I have listened to rock music for over 50 years and these ladies are one of the best bands ever in the world not just Japan.
I had a similar reaction the first time I watched this video. I still get very emotional each time I watch it again. Asami is the name of the lead singer. July 10 is her birthday. Right on time. She gets very happy eating all the delicious food. Happy birthday to Her Majesty Queen Asami. Peace and LOVEBITES! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺

Your reaction is spot on ! 1 or 2 people thought the song was a bit too long but I wholeheartedly disagree, it's just nice. Asami's (lead vocalist) dulcet tones and M&M's guitar hand-offs and harmonization for a third of the track always take me on an emotional journey that few songs can. Have you ever watched and listened to a ballad performed more beautifully than this one - you may have, but I haven't. But then - this band is so much more than this one heart-touching song. Their whole repertoire is an unbroken string of sparkling gems covering every layer of metal music. These wonderful ladies have reinvigorated and further developed the genre in ways undreamed of.
This is in the same category as Judas Priest's "Beyond the Realms of Death", Black Sabbath's "Lonely is the Word", Led Zeppelin's "No Quater", April Wine's "Sign of the Gypsy Queen", Scorpion's "Lady Starlight" which are some of the greatest power ballads known to the rock world. Continue on with the other two "E" songs of Lovebites.

This song remind me of Michael Shenker Group ( a tale of mystery) & Judas Priest ( Before the dawn) 👍 brings back 80-90s memories..im lovin it🤟
Nice REaction Chronic. This song is strange because musically it is quite a melancholy ballad full of emotion, but the actual lyrics are positive and uplifting. The lead solos are some of the most Epic in the Lovebites catalogue. One of the rare songs where Midori allows emotion to enter her solos - and her closing solo is Magnificent.
To me, this is the best power ballad of all time. It showcases Asami’s vocals and she exudes so much emotion. Those guitars sing and cry. Yes, my next recommendation is “Edge of the world” (live, concert “Five of a kind”, 2020)
Whenever i watch a reaction to this i wonder if this time somebody gets the "Hotel California" reference. But then again, it seems most of the people that are younger than 40 or even 50 don't even know this classic anymore.
For all who don't get it, its the guitar solo part after Midori had the focus, starting at 8:14 in this video.
I'm twenty-six and I've long since thought that the portion of the guitar solo you're referencing has a similar sound to Hotel California. I'm not sure where they got the inspiration to write that piece of the song, but it certainly works.

I think so far one guy who worked at a radio station and made also reaction, and had very good knowledge, was the only one so far who ever mentioned it.

I was thinking along the lines of Gary Moore at the end, especially that Midori piece, it had all the hall marks of GM!!

since i started being musically aware in the late 50's i can't begin to count the bands i've been completely invested in - emotionally and with my wallet. it was the animals and the stones in the 60's along with a hundred or so other bands. then jethro tull took over the top spot thru the 70's along with the doobie bros. , rush and countless others. the 80's brought van halen and the police and believe it or not the pointer sisters. there's diversity for you. but LOVEBITES has been at the top for almost 7 years now and will probably go down as my favorite of all time. i probably don't have much time left at my age so it's gonna take something to change that but i don't see another band that will ever eclipse them
Me to brother, me to. I'm in my mid 70's and have had a similar journey. I have been so impressed by Lovebites. Easily one of my all time favourite bands.

As I wipe my eyes yet again after this song I'm totally with you in that I love everything about this band. And I too think of Gilmour and Comfortably Numb when I hear Epilogue in an emotional way. I would suggest Edge of the World to follow if you haven't already But please, please make sure it's the 2020 Zepp DiverCity version.

The emotions were high at this concert. I would recommend watching more from the Daughters of the Dawn. Still one of my favorite concert dvd's. ❤🎉

If you want a performance that will make you openly & unashamedly weep, it is "Journey To The Other Side".
It is a song written by Miho about the death of her Father. Asami sings it up to the heavens with such respect. But there is a section that will hit you hard. Not a ballad, but full of sentiment.

I think this performance is Asami’s finest moment in the band. Nobody could deliver those lyrics with more intensity and feeling than her. My favourite performance by the band (but not my favourite song). Next song…my favourite…Soldier Stands Solitarily.

Just my opinion on this one but during these ballads Myako really pours her emotions in her playing. This is why I consider the best guitarist alive today.

IMHO the Midori guitar effect at the end of the song shouldn't be there. I know it was made for dramatic effect(maybe), but I wish it had a better outro.
