I would have never known he was hit so many times from looking at his body in the video. I knew the head wound wasn’t the fatal one but didn’t know his spine was severed (it makes sense; the video shows he definitely didn’t move his lower body once he fell so it makes sense his spine was hit).
As for him being paralyzed if he had survived, only Nip would know if he would have wanted that. I’d bet his children would have accepted any condition just to have him here. He had so much left to do.

So hard to hear, I’ve been a fan of Nipsey since I met him at XXL many moons ago as a Freshman cover story. He was such a light in this world, i would’ve loved nothing more than for him to survive, even if paralyzed. I’m sure his loved ones would have too. We have plenty of brilliant disabled people in the world, plz don’t diminish the possibility of being great to a disability. Disabled ppl matter too. It certainly wouldn’t have been the same, though.
