If you have seen the years of development of Eleanor.... You would see passion, compassion, understanding and joy in the way she sings as well as her movement and reflexion. She has a gift that simply gives to those who listen... And see....
Add me to the list of listeners who are now crying their eyes out. Crusty 65 year old guy, and I'm gutted. I'm a singer, so I know good singing when I hear it. This is as fine as singing gets. Thank you! I'm a Yank, but I'm a child of the Otter clan; my people were from Clare. I've played the music - two and three nights a week in Southern California because we have strong representation here. And I've made my pilgrimage and stood in a cemetery filled with stones bearing my family name. It was on a hill overlooking the coast. As I stood there looking West over the ocean, I think I finally understood why I had to move from Philadelphia to the west coast: it would have been what my ancestors did. Thank you for this divine music!
I live in America. 28 years old. My family been here for many many years now but My ancestors came from the Inishowen Peninsula. Hearing you sing just makes me feel a tad bit closer to my family’s past culture. You’re a big reason why now I been learning Gaelic. I wanted to understand what that beautiful voice was saying with those beautiful words . Thank you for keeping your culture alive and wish you the best future.
Thank you for that lovely comment. Your people came from a beautiful part of Ireland. Great to hear your learning the language and helping keep the culture alive as well.
This singing by Niamh goes to the heart and soul of the Gaeltacht.Apart from her exquisite interpretation her voice has a quality that embraces and draws you in that is more than just a pleasant sound
Thank you for uploading such a beautiful song. Sung by such a beautiful singer. Means a lot for people who have been searching for a connection with their Irish heritage. Sending love from The Philippines!!! Go Raibh Maith Agat!!! Maraming Salamat po!!!
She's got a voice a bit like Éabha McMahon out of Celtic Woman in the lower register ... dark, smokey and husky. Hell of a talent. She could join them. 😵🤩💖💫💥💯💨
I have always said The almighty put way too large hearts into these small Celtic bodies. This song and the way sung proves me right. go raibh maith agat
