Ben Burnley is obviously the main singer, but he has Aaron the bassist who also can scream and clean sing, and Keith his guitarist I believe also sings and harmonizes too. So the dynamics in the vocals are from three people combined which is absolutely insane!! This band has been the most consistent in their entire career and I can’t wait for new music and this song is a banger 🔥
Yes, but Keith also does back vocals. And unfortunately in some part Keith’s voice covers over Ben’s voice. But in general I’m extremely happy to finally hear some new stuff from them
Ben’s writing is pretty deep. He suffered from addiction and depression but overcame both. He suffers from a disease that causes physical pain and headaches and drifted into a dark place but decided he could live a wasted life or fight through those issues and still do what he loves. Dance with the devil is my favorite by them but the entire Phobia album is an absolute masterpiece and would even be worth reacting to.
great! I think a lot fans can relate to it in some way or have been in similar situations - or even way serious ones - but his music just helps to overcome so much and defines certain points in our lives. He helped me with a lot of his songs and lyrics! He is the only singer/band i am so grateful for!
Breaking Ben always had the mix of harsh vocals with the cleans. Especially in a song like Sugarcoat. You should react to that one... classic Breaking Ben.
Love your expressions😅. We are living a new era of comeback. First Linkin park, then Adam came back to 3dg, skillet releasing new material and so does breaking Benjamin.🤘🤘🤘
You should check out their album “dear agony”, his vocals are immensely impactful as well as the songs. I’d recommend the self titled track and crawl:)
Also want to add to this comment for anyone who doesn't know. Dear Agony is the band's first album where Ben was sober (alcohol addiction) and the actual brain scan on the cover of the album is his very own. He mentioned that he was much more serious writing the lyrics for this album in a way where if he didn't like something, he would correct it. Whereas previous albums he said if he didn't like some lyrics he would, in his words, "take a shot" and be like "they're good now!". So a lot of the lyrics from Dear Agony are inspired by his path to sobriety. Such a great album
@BratatoChip well I am a hater when it comes to AC/DC. I despise them deeply. But you are right same formula. Wonder why I hate one and enjoy the other
I won't lie as soon as that chorus hit, I almost started shedding tears. This is a damn good start to their new album after 5 or so years..."I can hear the call of life"; it's like Ben knew we needed this.
Love the reaction...Breaking Benjamin did often mix harsher vocals into their songs. They were considered "Alternative Metal" when they got big. Some other good heavy-ish songs by them would be Evil Angel, Red Cold River, Blood, Sugarcoat, Simple Design...absolutely worth a listen!
I was estatic when this dropped, I had just gotten out of a seether and skillet concert and then got to hear this beautiful masterpiece! Breaking Benjamin is so back and I'm here for it. Crazy that it's been 7 years since they dropped a single. I was in high school last time they dropped an album.
You should really check out some of the songs on Breaking Benjamin’s first album, Saturate. “Polyamorous” would be a good one to start with. My favorites on the album are “Next To Nothing” and “Water”.
Yes, Ben has always done harsh vocals, even back to their first album "Saturate" that came out in 2001. They also have heavier songs throughout their catalogue.
I grew up with breaking Benjamin through my middle school and high school years.. Just like linkin park, they're heavily nostalgic for me ❤ great band (and live too!)
Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band of all time! The first song I ever heard was So Cold, and the first time I saw them live they opened with So Cold. Absolutely love them! 🤘
I am certainly not young, and I didn't get into BB when they were new or even long ago. My music tastes just didn't match for a while, but I found myself really into them over the past year. Often times, I don't get into a band until they are done and gone. This is cool to hear and know they are still at it. So I am right there with you on the reflection. I'm good with this sound . I LIKE IT! Thanks for the reaction.
This most recent original album, Ember from 2018, is probably their heaviest album with a lot of growling. It's a solid album. I saw them live just before the COVID nonesense, and they put on a good show.
The bassist, Aaron does a lot of the "screaming" live. Great voice on him too. These guys are from my town. Just saw them in NY with my son last month. Awesome!!
You should definitely react to their whole discography starting with their debut album Saturate! 😍 Saturate and Phobia are my absolute favorite BB albums. Masterpieces ❤️
BB has been one of my favorite bands for 20 years now. little disappointed you talked over one of the best moments of the song though and missed it around 7:37 when Ben does one of the prettiest cleans ive ever heard from him.
Fun fact, if you listen closely at the beginning of the last chorus, you can hear Ben's son doing some backing vocals. Ben himself confirmed it in an interview
I know that you’re a gamer so it’s only appropriate to ask you to react to Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin. It was specifically written for the Halo 2 soundtrack!
It actually sounds like the same old Breaking Benjamin like some of their non radio hits that were hits to fans, this song would have fit on their earlier albums
Since you asked about Ben doing harsh vocals, I'm gonna join a lot of folks here and say Saturate. The first album they ever released. It's from 2004, I think. It's a legit no-skip album for me. The songs you're going to want to check out are: Wish I May, Polyamorous, Water, and Sugarcoat. ESPECIALLY Sugarcoat.
I really recommend you listen something from the first album "Saturate", like Polyamorous or probably something else from the album "Phobia" like Breath, You, Until the end, had enough, you fight me, I mean basically all the album can blow your mind, or even Angels fall or Follow, I mean you won't be disappointed if you wanna know more about Breaking Benjamin
Amazing channel, i think you would love to listen to "you know you are right" by Nirvana, studio version, i havent found a good quality for a live version sadly,

Both the cleans and screams are Ben in this song.
Keith also has a side project under Keith Whallen. It’s pretty good! Like alternative rock maybe?
Real bb fans dont wanna hear them sing.. we listen for ben
Correction. "Real" Breaking Benjamin fans listen to them as a whole. Without em, we'd have no band. @@ZoZo5oh

Anthem of the Angels as well

Breaking Benjamin fan here 🙏
I'm soo excited about this I hoping they release new album soon
To me, this song sounds just like their other stuff. Same formula, new material.... AND I AM HERE FOR IT!
Agreed why change what works? Love it
No lies detected.... not sure another band could get away with this and I be ok with it but theae guys can
Cult word of the day.
Formula.
@@joshmoore2932AC/DC got away with it for like 50 yards now haha. Shows why their the highest selling band of all time

One of the best choruses this year.

Saturates my favorite album if I had to choose one . But theyre all so good
Solid. I love this album (who am I kidding, I love all of them). Had Enough was the anthem of my early teen years lol
Yes, Ben has always done harsh vocals, even back to their first album "Saturate" that came out in 2001. They also have heavier songs throughout their catalogue.
This band has evolved so much in 20 years. But yet, it’s still the breaking Benjamin they’ve been for 20+ years.
Happy ear = eargasm
This reminds me so much of their first two albums, especially with the harsh vocals.
Red Cold River is amazing 🤘
I grew up with breaking Benjamin through my middle school and high school years.. Just like linkin park, they're heavily nostalgic for me ❤ great band (and live too!)
Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band of all time! The first song I ever heard was So Cold, and the first time I saw them live they opened with So Cold.
Absolutely love them! 🤘
Breaking Benjamin, Sick Puppies, 3 Days Grace, Crossfade, Linkin Park?!?! What is this year??
Silver-Woods of Ypres
Great doom metal band with great lyrics
This sounds like Halo 2 era Breaking Benjamin. This is no heavier than most of their stuff.
i love that part of this song, very much their old sound but honed through a decade of improvements
I Wish I May is probably their heaviest.
@@Immolator772 I feel like "Hopeless" or "Torn In Two" would be their heaviest.
@@paivioselanne I Wish I May starts with a death growl.
Fav song❤
Yeah, they keep going with the EMBER era. I loved it
Their most recent album “ember” has a lot more harsh vocals and it’s honestly a really underrated album, you should check out some songs from it!

A BEAUTIFUL RAY LISTENING TO A BEAUTIFUL BREAKING BENJAMIN SONG
this feels like a comeback, i wish for a diary of jane sort of song:)
I was waiting for your reaction video to this song, and as always you never disappoint ❤
I just love your happy face so much 🥰
The bassist, Aaron does a lot of the "screaming" live. Great voice on him too. These guys are from my town. Just saw them in NY with my son last month. Awesome!!
Scranton here sup brother
@ WB here lol. What’s up?!
You should definitely react to their whole discography starting with their debut album Saturate! 😍 Saturate and Phobia are my absolute favorite BB albums. Masterpieces ❤️
You should just checkout Breaking Benjamin's entire catalogue. You can't go wrong with any song. Phobia is my favorite album.
What's it like walking around being that handsome, with such correct opinions?
BB has been one of my favorite bands for 20 years now. little disappointed you talked over one of the best moments of the song though and missed it around 7:37 when Ben does one of the prettiest cleans ive ever heard from him.

I’m not even this early for work.
Sounds like the song Into the Nothing and Bury Me Alive rapped up in a little bow... LoL
Actually I think Breaking Benjamin has been one of the most stylistically consistent bands. And somehow they keep their material sounding fresh.
Failure is still a top track for me..

BB is awesome. Love the new song
Great underrated band.
Not really...something just doesn't ring true live with them...kinda like seeing In Flames...just no register
the ending sounds pretty djenty, you need to react to Periphery.
Now i suggest you to hear Daughtry- THE DAM 🤓🙏
🔥🔥🔥
Amazing channel, i think you would love to listen to "you know you are right" by Nirvana, studio version, i havent found a good quality for a live version sadly,
