The KPR does look much better than a usual CB 300. It also does look more nicer than a Honda Grom or Z125. It's one of those bikes that are in between.
Lifan actually is one of the better brands in China. They win in light bike racing brackets in Asia. Some say never sell and replace a bike. You should add to the collection. And this bike you can use as a track day bike. Push it on the track to get your skills higher.
I own this Bike an It's An excellent bike, i didn't face any issues with the bike and i've ridden 439Kms, and my kpr is a bit updated as there are some differences in the stickers and on the engine

II know this post is 4 years old, but this is for anyone today thinking about buying a Lifan motorcycle. t's a Lifan. 200cc is not sport bike material and don't expect any real performance from it. There is absolutely no reason to do all of the things you did to that bike right from the start. New chain, new spark plug, new oil? Why? I can tell you from experience the oil Lifan ships with is perfectly fine as is the chain and spark plug. Also, your bike is NOT broken in until 600 miles and most people will tell you do not use synthetic oil until after break in as the 15w 40 lubes the cylinder and clutch for a better break in. Anyone interested in the KPR 200 do your research. It's a good bike for what it is.

I own a 600 but I'm thinking about getting this just to zip to the store and little commutes. Where the speed limit is only like 45-55 mph for the fuel economy.

I also have no other vehicles as I live in the city and am retired. I ride the hell out of this little bike, have 3000mi. on it and I'm very happy I bought it. Swapping the chain for an X ring chain this week (winter's finally over here!) but plan on no other mods except a rear rack. Good luck Alex, be safe..
Why would you change the spark plug and chain on a new bike I got 1600 miles on mine use it till it wears out then replace it i haven't done anything but change the oil on mine and it rides great

Not a bad bike for the money. But all the same say you pay 3000 for this bike and its a starter bike and you upgrade a year later. Resales for 1800. Your out 1200$. Whereas you could buy a used ninja 300 for 3k it will be way faster and when you go to sell it, you can sell it for what you paid for it pretty much.
here in Bangladesh those motorcycle having engine size more than 165cc are not allowed, we have 165cc version of that KPR, it tops 154km/hr which is 96mph

You will need to gain a little mechanical insight, but we are all better once we practice. You can watch repair / setup videos on UA-cam and "Google" answers. It will definitely need basic assembly. I made a video covering my delivery and assembly overview. That is a good bike for city transportation.
i actually dont mind the way this bike looks ................ i sported around on a 01 ninja 250 for ages and had tons of fun with it .............. there is a place for smaller cc bikes ............ never owned a chinese bike so i cant comment on it but i would be leary of build quality on one ................
Ummmmmm yeah you have to register it and have a motorcycle endorsement on your license. Anything above 50cc this is required. But you're in California so hell this is probably illegal like everything else.
Don't know if you've gotten it yet but yes definitely. I'm your height but fatter (220lbs) and the bike fits fine. Just know that you're gonna be a little upright when riding unless you scoot your ass back a lil

@@408802 From my experiences, two people makes a significant difference in speed and stability on this bike. In a similar situation, my wife and I rode and it didn't feel as nimble and I never went over 53mph, but it still had throttle left. All things considered I'd say it would have gotten to mid to low 60s with both of us on it. I've gotten to 77 on a solo ride per the GPS on my phone.

Still looks like a great bike I’m a new rider I’ve ridden dirt bikes but not a motorcycle so this is the best bike in my opinion to learn on and the Normal speed limit in my state is 65-70

It is legal in the lower 48 states aside from California with their CARB requirements. There are some Lifan dealers in NY state that have the KPR200 in stock so I know it can be delivered as well. I have seen that shipping rates may be higher in NY and other large "congested" cities. It is delivered via a full size moving truck. A UA-camr by the name of China Motorsports lives in that area and has videos of online China order bikes being delivered. He is very good at responding to questions as well, so you could always subscribe and ask what him how best to proceed.

They don't make a 169 cc gy6 engine - they make a big bore kit for the 150 cc. For those who don't know a gy6 engine is a great engine, very reliable, can run at high revs all day long, can easily get 50,000 miles out of the engine and parts for the engine a very affordable. Other parts for the engine are also very affordable such as a new carburetor - cost less than 20.00. If you ever need a new gy6 engine they are less than 300.00. Great performance, great reliability and very low maintenance cost is what makes the gy6 such a great engine.

Lifan bikes do well with spark plug and chain. I got 4k miles on my stock chain and spark plug. Stock plug doesnt need to be changed for 20k miles.

just get a decent quality o ring chain, lube it once in a while and it will probably last the life of the bike. Congrats and ride safe!

How are you saying it only has a spring a screen, but no oil filter? You pointed the camera right at the 112 oil filter.
It's a good looking bike. Probably works well enough for around town riding. You'd get blown all over on the highway.

Reduce the rear sprocket to 38 and you will get the bike going near 100mph.
That's what I did to mine and the bike has done 160km/hr

They don't make a 169 cc gy6 engine - they make a big bore kit for the 150 cc. It’s not that engine at all, it’s also liquid cooled and fuel injected so you don’t even need to change a carburetor.
