- A country with values different from those of the capitalist economy: that is Bhutan.
One typical example would be the "GNH" (Gross National Happiness) indicator.
It is said that Bhutan values "spiritual wealth" more than "economic wealth.
In other words, they value "GNH" (Gross National Happiness) rather than "GDP" (Gross Domestic Product).
Of course, I understand that this is a one-way view and that the ideal and reality are different.
Nevertheless, I believe that Bhutan is a country with a rich heart.
For example, there are no traffic lights in Bhutan. Not even just one.
High-traffic intersections are Roundabout, and police officers use hand signals to direct traffic, especially in busy areas and at busy times of the day.
And yet, you don't hear the sound of a horn.
People are not in a hurry to get to the next intersection, and they are in harmony by being considerate of each other.
Can you believe it? If this were India, you would hear 10,000 honking horns a day. LOL!
Thus, although Bhutan and India seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of population size, economic scale, national policies, and the way people think and act, India is actually Bhutan's greatest friend.
What would a Bhutanese think if he/she traveled to India?
What would Indians think if they traveled to Bhutan?
The reason for my interest is that I spent three weeks in India before visiting Bhutan.
Wouldn't you be curious? LOL!
I would like to offer one final comment.
I am not asking, "Which is better, Bhutan or India?" I am not trying to make a statement that "Bhutan or India is better?
It is just that I found these two countries interesting because they are so different in every way.
It is this kind of "discovery" that makes travel so enjoyable!

Immaculate street with the mountain as your background is so majestic! Love Bhutan! And I noticed it has no electrical wiring or cables hanging on the street.
So clean, harmonious and beautiful! It’s a kingdom up in the mountains touching the sky.
This is one of the best video on Bhutan that I have seen. You have a good camera & your skill is amazing. 🙏👍💯

From 56:18, it's a boulevard towards the memorial chorten. The cost of one concrete block (divider) along the driveway were said to be estimated at Nu. 4,700/- at the time.
Certainly, it is a Billion Ngultrum worth of project undertaking. ❤
Amazing tour...
Nice tour!
I love the clothes.
👍 me hubiese gustado ver los comercios y la interacción de las personas! Saludos
I like city old and temple
Do Bhutan not have own language? I see all the sign boards of the shops written in English.
Great walk!
