Oh my god! 1000!!!??? OVER A THOUSAND VIEWS!!!??? THAT'S SO FREAKING AMAZING!!! This video has been clicked over a thousand times! I thank you guys for choosing this video to learn Take Flight!!!
I'm writing this comment because I actually thank you guys for all of this: OVER 150 SUBSCRIBERS!!!??? OVER 2000 VIEWS ON THIS VIDEO!!!??? Oh my god! This is incredible! I never expected this video to have that many views! Also 67 of you guys liked this video! The likes actually gives proof that I helped you guys a lot, or because you liked the video itself! Thank you guys so much! I'm definitely going to do more. I might upload as much (running out of ideas/no time/too lazy) but FOR SURE, I'm not going to stop making videos.
***** Hey man, ive gotta say ive gotten really used to listening to you talk its like I could probably know your voice in public haha. But anyway, you should totally make videos EXPLAINING, little tips and all the other little things that go into transitioning notes and fingers and the bowing and what not within the song. Just something to consider
Adam Sciterra That's what I'm actually doing on my other tutorials. Every time I make a new tutorial, I'm now figuring out okay, which part am I supposed to explain, which info is necessary and unnecessary. When it comes to the fingerings, you'll notice me saying low 1, low 2, high 2, blah blah blah. Those are actual fingerings that I suggest, trying to make it easier for you and others. I'm assuming you play the violin, therefore you know that you need fingerings. But just in case: 1 is your pointer finger, 2 is your middle finger, 3 is your ring finger, and 4 is your pinky. I say low 4 because that's the fingering you need for example, an E-flat or B-flat. Most of the time, I'm always on first position. Whenever there's a higher note, I always suggest which fingering should stay the same or change if you're going to shift to a higher position. And about little tips, I talk about which technique works best on my other tutorials like bowing movement by the wrist, lifting your fingerings as little as possible for fast running notes, etc. So I hope this shows how much I considered your comment, and thanks for watching my videos!
Lutin des bois Oh wow! You do as well? That's amazing! And, I saw a glimpse at your channel. You had a video with over 4 million views!? And you have over 19K subs! Thanks for watching my videos! I really do appreciate this a whole lot!
Thank you I'm learning how to play this song my auntie is a fan of Lindsey Stirling and she wants me to play this song (take flight) I'm glad someone plays really good :)
Subbed. I watch this everyday though I don't play violin well. I am a 3 weeks violinist but I can't play any song. Sadly, I really want to learn and play this song.
i agree completely, also as a beginner (who's learning to play violin solely from youtube) i learnt everything in this video within 3 days of practise and i'm super excited to master it. i bow to you (no pun intended)
@Valeria Miguel: Um, not sure which part you're talking about. If you're talking about the very first note of the whole song, it is for sure, a G on the D string (3rd finger) Definitely not an Open A, that note would be completely off compared to what the actual note is. I'm not sure what you're talking about the "first part". Is it the first note of the whole build-up? If it is, that is also a G on the D string. If you're saying B as in B-flat, just know that B-flat and A# are EXACTLY the same thing. When you said there is hardly an open A, there is actually A LOT of open A(s) used! Also, I hardly use the term A# because B-flat is more commonly used, and it's a lot easier to understand. So, I hope this clears up everything.
WOW. I've only been playing violin for 17 days (And so far can only play greensleeves) and i'm going to aspire to be able to play this eventually through your tutorial :D
Thanks a lot for this tuto. I'm not english, so it's a bit hard to understand what u said, but i understand u're violin :D Continue guy, u're really good :)
I'll try! I just need to know exactly where. There were a few others who would like a tutorial on the drop part of Beyond the Veil, and another person said Mirror Haus, though I don't know exactly where. If you can give me the part of Electric Daisy Violin, then I'll upload a tutorial for that someday! :D
Omg you are so good on violin, hope you can be my violin teacher XD. I was a beginner 1year with just learning to play by watching UA-cam . Really hope 1 day I can play like you do, any tips for me? Which grades are you now? :D
Jack Ho Thanks for the compliments! I graduated out of high school last year, and tips, I suggest (well obviously) practice, but there's one thing to keep in mind when you play is to BREATHE. When breathing, especially during many parts, you're more stabilized and you have better control. I'll have to see a video of you playing before I make assumptions. XD
Oh boy! That song...that song is the HARDEST Lindsey Stirling song in my opinion! I always mess up on the chorus part because it's nothing but 16th notes and intervals. BUT! I do know the notes and proper fingerings! Maybe I can't play it perfectly, but maybe you can! I'll get it up someday!
Jesus your tutorial is awesome ! But is it possible to have the sheet music please ? Because that's so hard for me to understand wich notes you are talking about because english is not my mother tongue. But you're doing a great job !
+Purple Wedding Thanks, and I would if I could. I don't have a PDF version of this to email it to you. If I do have it, I can definitely email it to you.
+Maxwell Petrovan Not long really, maybe less than 2 weeks (to memorize it) Because I played a lot of her originals before Take Flight, some of the style is the same and it's really easy to learn and play it.
**Fixes** When coming down on that first part, it's not B, it is A#. In Take Flight, there is hardly ever an open A. It's usually A#. The intro has an open A....
Hello, I'm a local in Kent..I saw you at the space needle once me and my family talked to you for a minute. I absolutely love your performance. I would like to ask if I can hire you for a celebration event in January. Please PM me Shelly Borrero Thank you - I can't seem to find your inbox.
Siddharth Y uh.. Im pretty sure there is and Ive been learning for 5 years. Your pinky should be bent and so should your thumb unless its spicatto or legato bowing.
Thank you so much for your tutorials! They're awesome! I was wondering if you could do one on Shadows and Roundtable Rival. I was also wondering (sorry, I kinda suck at scales) what are the flats and sharps in G minor and C minor? (I'm pretty sure those are the key signatures in Shadows.) Thank you :D
Afton Shumate Well, first of all, Shadows is in a key of C minor and G minor. The chorus part is the C- minor part. C minor has 3 flats, and they are, in order, B-flat, E-flat, and A-flat. It's almost the same thing as E-flat major. The scale just starts at C, and most of the notes are the C's. G minor has 2 flats. Just take away the A-flat, and now you have G minor aka B-flat major. Some of Lindsey's songs that are in G minor are: Zi-Zi's Journey, Anti Gravity, Stars Align, Take Flight, and (in her shatter me deluxe album) Eclipse.

I don't think you're holding your bow right
the bow adjusts in your hand over time. there is no correct way to hold the bow. only the standard way. btw i play violin too.
Siddharth Y uh.. Im pretty sure there is and Ive been learning for 5 years. Your pinky should be bent and so should your thumb unless its spicatto or legato bowing.
do you speak Spanish??? help!!
+Nirefara Ocampo Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish. Sorry.
