Amazing speed and technique Calzaghe set's himself up for perfect timing shots. But he lacked the power to actually land one to knock them out. In his early years. The more fights he had he just got better and better and that power eventually progressed. What a brilliant fighter Joe was. Legendary!

I read some comments against Calzaghe, they said that he had no power in the blows ... :) I laugh, not only the first Calzaghe was powerful, but it was very fast and had a big chin, who understands boxing knows that it was a great champion, in fact, the people who revolve around boxing praise him without doubts. Great Calzaghe!

Who were these people who didn't rate him at all? Name them, shame them because he wins three ABA titles at three different weights, which tells even the simplest fool that we were dealing with something special. Britain and Wales greatest ever boxer.
Joe was good, my problem is he like most European boxers fought mostly no name European fighters.
Ward fought mostly cab drivers, Calzaghe would have spanked him
