This is a cover of Ed's songs, not the exact same replica vocal wise the two have distinct vocal and for the MV, it's so Mew. You won't find anything missing if you are not comparing it (more retro) directly to the original (more pop and on trend). I like that it's an MV style and it's honestly an experience for Mew. He did a great job. And even though english is not his first language and he has only truly started to take lessons this year, he is doing a fantastic job.

I am going to reiterate : huge props to his vocals. If this was on spotify it would be on loop. His vocals are really improving so much, so fast and i like that. If you really want to know what i mean : put this video at the highest volume, close your eyes and play it from beginning till the end : beautiful. Also props to the director for doing a One Shot video, it’s the first time for a music video from Mew, he is usually sitting down or not moving a lot from his 2 first covers

I wish mew would continue using his deeper tone voice to sing from now on. He sounded so good in love turn to hate with violet wautier. Also i wish mew would work on not trying to always sing the same note the artist uses. He can totally switch it up and hit his own different notes that would fit his own voice and his own unique way. (Like if the artist hits a high note, he can replace it with his own unique note. He doesnt have to hit the same high note as the artist if it doesnt match well with his voice, even a medium note or just something that wouldnt sound out of tune) I hope mew sees this and take this constructive criticism well.
I also hope he can watch the way artist sing their own sing differently each time they perform. Justin bieber is a good example. He has alot of singles where he sings them differently each time, on the track he goes high, but when bes performing, its a confortable low note. For things like this i feel like newer artist mught struggle a bit? So i think its something where the artist sits down for a bit and practice how they cover of perform this song comfortably without sounding out of tune. Can only get better if you put timw into it
