My younger one just wants to hear the song over and over because its 'happy' but like when 'momma hugs me' and my older one was really interested in the lyrics and video. He liked the leaves going up instead of down and the scene with the pink flowers. He also liked how the camera moved. He's just sad you didn't dance. He likes when you dance. At first I didn’t get the MV concept then I heard Mew explained that it was about the love story between Hades and Persephone from Greek Mythology. Mew as Hades the King of the underworld; dark and fierce yet determined and persistent. Once he met Persephone(Goddess of Spring and Fertility); innocent and graceful, his life had changed since then. But according to the deal with her mother, Persephone was able to spend only six months with Hades and six months back to the earth. When Persephone was down in the underworld with Hades, seasons on the earth were Autumn and Winter. But when she was back to the earth, seasons were Summer and Spring.
Mew said Persephone was represented as all of his fans Mewlions and Waanjais, who brought joy and happiness to his life. (Like Hades, he had been waiting for every season to see the love of his life.) The composer asked Mew to write down some sentences he wanted to express his feelings to his fans. Then the composer brought those together into the song lyrics “Season of You”. He would like to give this song to all his fans around the world. He has also mentioned that “Season of You” is the song for telling someone that you love him/her. Since we don’t know when the situation worldwide is going to get better, so he would like to cheer you guys up. No matter how bad day you have had, once you listen to his song it would put a smile on you face and make you feel better.
