Heh, can't do that in my country. Most schools doesn't sell graduation gowns and caps, they are rented.

Ugh I wish we were allowed to do this!!! My school was super strict! No decorating, no custom year charm (some girls wanted blinged ones or different fonts), no folding of the tip, no pinning, it was wild 💀

At my brothers school they wouldn’t let him on the stage unless he put it on right and they didn’t let them decorate their caps. One kid washed his gown cause they also said you gotta get the wrinkles out otherwise you couldn’t walk but they didn’t tell them how and it stripped away the metallic stuff and it was just matte and they didn’t let him walk. Honestly it’s fucked up. I graduated from a different school and they let me paint my cap and don’t care about all the stupid tiny little details that really don’t matter like wrinkles

I’m going to do this for my college grad! I looked ridiculous with the point in all my high school grad pics and videos, and I gave the valedictorian speech looking like that.

It's actually weird when people wear it too tilted that the top is almost vertical. Commencement is a tradition and the Cap and Gown should be worn traditionally. folding the pointed part is ridiculous. Just adjust how you wear it to make it fit you or fix your hair in a way that makes it work for the hat.

Your cap is also supposed to be flat with a point directly in front of your head and one directly behind your head. I just went to a graduation and learned that.
