Excellent lesson. 🙏
Fantastic explanations. Haven't tango in 3 years but will look at your videos. Love from West Cork Pablo
Welcome back! :)
Estimados Pablo y Anne: Please excuse the personal question: Are both of you Hispanic, maybe from Argentina? I have been dancing tango for 15 years and spending 20 summers in Buenos Aires to get my annual tango fix as I am truly addicted to tango and the Porteño culture. I have, finally in my old age, come to the realization that tango learning is a lifelong experience. I have watched some of your videos and I am truly impressed with your clear explanations of the importance and techniques of "proper walking and embrace" as basic foundations for excellence in tango dancing. Felicidades y muchos exitos. "El Tango es un sentimiento que se baila."
..a bit late..but yes,Pablo is from Argentina while Anne is French...and they teach in London in their own school......
P.S. .'..sentimiento triste...'
Enjoy the video very much. Thank you Tips for leader on how to change smoothly from the close side to the open side?
When I watch you dance in cross system, it looks a bit like 4 tracks. If there are truly 3 tracks, the follower really needs to extend well or I will step on her foot. Also, with an extra weight change while walking (extra step- quick quick slow) to match something in the music, the follower can be tempted to match my weight change. It seems a subtle lead to prevent her from changing weight. What is your guidance?
Pablo looking good
always ;)
I like using cross system for ochos but can't see the usefulness of cross system for the cross. Cross system cross and parallel system cross, although done differently, feel the same to me.
Yo siempre los veo, pero soy de Argentina, no entiendo en Inglés.
Por favor la explicación pasen en castellano.
Wish if you explained how to use cross systems in some steps. Are some steps only possible with cross system? If so which ones?
HK you can consider that almost all steps can be done in both systems
I found this confusing - oversold and under-delivered.
It actually seems to begin after you say "Goodbye and thanks for watching!" in the middle!

It could have started by saying what "parallel system" & "cross system" actually _are_, before how to transition and the differences. Maybe I missed the 'Part 1' - could you link to it?
Thanks!
Eric
PS to show what I mean, is there even a demo " _this_ is parallel system " in this video that you could link to?
