Deer are eating my emerald green arborvitaes. Going to replace them in the spring. I have 21 feet length by 7.5 wide space I need to fill with a natrual privacy fence. What species of juniper(s) would you recommend? Preferably 25 feet max height no lower than 20 as I have an elevated deck and like to maintain privacy while on the deck.
Silvery blue-green foliage is attractive throughout the growing season. Foliage may take on some bronze tones in winter.
It's more of silvery greenish yellow color not as pleasing to the eye as 'Medora'
Great in place of Italian Cypress and a very good attractive screen possibly for more formal landscapes or in gardens.
For the most complete privacy blocking row, how far apart should these be planted? Thank you for this video 😊⭐️
When tested by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum this tree experience significant browning in January.
discovered in Taylor, Nebraska in 1992

This plant is listed on several websites as a good alternative for Italian Cypress.
Does this grow in Texas?
It probably will, it loves the heat and humidity and the regular eastern red cedar is a Texas native tree
Whats the growth rate of this tree
I would say about 8” a year
has exceptional cold hardiness
