Growing up as a girl, I was discouraged from liking Pokemon and was told it was a game for boys. So seeing Isaiah choose the pink sleeves and mat and hearing his dad be so supportive of his hobby really warms my heart. I’m sure he’ll look back on this video far in the future and deeply cherish it 💖
Way to go Pokezard! I have found myself losing some of my joy in the pokemon hobby, then a bunch of people showed up to the leauge last week when there have just been on or two people the last few months. It really makes a difference to have a community. Kids like him and people like Nate and Mark at the Danger Room are what makes this community so amazing. Thank you for this video.
This was amazing to watch from start to finish. Isaiah is an absolutely kind and gentle soul with lots of Pokémon knowledge. You can see his passion shine through when he talks about Pokémon. Even with the losses, he stays positive and learns from them. He thinks steps ahead of his opponent while competing which indicates how much he's learning. Thank you Nate, Marie & everyone on the team who helped document this for all of us!!
I am so happy that this film is finally out for everyone to enjoy! It has been a long process, but I loved editing this documentary and working on the entire process with you Nate. Isaiah's story (PokeZard) is very inspirational and relatable for so many of us who enjoy and love Pokémon. Happy Pokémon Day everyone, enjoy the film! 🥳🙌🏼
I honestly teared up. I appreciate this video, the time, the passion, and the people. Isaiah is such a bright person and I hope for nothing but greatness for him. Thank you so much for this. We may have losses here and there, but we can always dust ourselves off, learn, grow, and adapt. Humility, beauty and appreciation go such a long way. Thank you all! Keep up the great work!! 😊🙏🏼🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m not crying 🥹 you’re crying! This was the sweetest video, thanks so much for sharing! 💗 So happy y’all did this and that Isaiah will have this to look back on. So happy I found your channel at the end of last year. Such a fun and positive channel and group of friends. Y’all are so blessed! 💗
This is exactly what the community is all about. Love that the whole team was there to support ZARD. Keep digging guys. You are all the reason we live, play, and feel positive.
So nice and important to have supportive parents like Isaiah. Even though they don’t understand Pokemon or the tcg, they try to encourage him to pursue his dream which is so awesome to see. I wish him all the best for the future and i hope he will be champion one day!
I loved every second of this video! What you did Nate with this documentary for PokeZard was truly beautiful! The friendship and the journey is what it’s all about and you truly are an inspiration to everyone cause you can tell how much you care about everyone and the things you do for people is really beautiful man! Keep being awesome and never give up on your dreams PokeZard!
Great video. Isiah is a true inspiration for kids of all ages, to follow their dreams. Todd is a great inspiration for dads to allow their kids to have dreams and support them. And the entire gang at the Danger Room for their continued support and friendship.
What an outstanding video! It’s fantastic to see how passionate Isaiah is about the game and how supportive both his family and you are of him. You’re the man Pokezard!! Just to sit back and think about how big of an impact Pokémon has on people is amazing. Every person in this video has grown with it, socially and personally. When someone asks what Pokémon means to people, this should be the first thing they watch!
What a great video, really well done! I turned this on to listen to as background noise and found myself GLUED to it instead. Love everyone featured in the video, everyone seems so wholesome. This is what Pokemon is about and I love to see this kind of content to really promote the brand! Congratz to PokeZard on such a great first performance and I am sure he will have many more to build off this one! Thanks again for sharing, if I could like this video 100 times, I would.
I have to say I believe you are one of the most genuine UA-camrs in the Pokémon community and I think it’s awesome that you did a video that wasn’t even about yourself but about the future generation of the community and I respect that just like I know the rest of your following does. Awesome video and congrats to you and your win position pokezard great job
My new favorite video of yours! Honestly made me tear up. I love everything you do and stand for. The world needs more people like you Nate. How awesome for Isaiah to have you as a role model!
Nate, this is why I love your videos. So true and real. Yes, this is a job for you as a creator, but you have so much love, and you're genuine about the hobby. Your videos aren't to profit. Your videos aren't for likes. Your videos are for the community, and I'm happy to have found you. As a 35 year old that remembers the ol' days of buying base packs with whatever I had to not being able to anymore as I have a daughter with expensive education costs and a mortgage, I live vicariously through your videos. Thank you. You and the community are awesome. You mean a lot to us, Nate. You too, Marie!

So awesome to see the story behind PokeZard. Even more to see so many from the Danger Room go and support him in his first regional. What a great local community y’all have. Thank you Nate for this!

this is so heartwarming, brings me back to when i was a kid, seeing his passion for the game and the friends and family that all support this amazing journey makes me feel so good. Well done great documentary, this was the best part of my pokemon day by far :)
loved watching the video this week especially getting to see a kid enjoy playing pokemon and not just collect and also seeing all the inspiration you have given us over the years I actually lost my job last year as they closed and I got my dream job working for a comic book/board game shop and I got hired thanks to the knowledge of everything pokemon that I had and also the positive attitude I've kept as a little thanks to you as I may sometimes put myself down a lot but when you say there's only one of you in the world don't try and be anyone else just be who you are those words speak the truth to me and its kept me going keep up all the great work Nate and lets keep inspiring the next generation of fans to be just as awesome
Thank you bunches Alolantails! We worked on this video for 6 months. Definitely a passion project video. I do have more documentary/in depth videos already in the works that include more competitive play
Can’t hit the like button enough for this video. It brings a smile knowing there are people out there still doing good in the world teaching and helping others. This is one of the greatest heart warming videos I have seen in a long time.
this was amazing. it made me very emotional just seeing a kid being able to live his dream and doing what he wants to with the support of his friends, family, and even teachers at school. Heres to isaiah becoming a champion someday while I watch it all happen
This documentary is absolute gold. The setup, the plan, the idea, the result. This is awesome. Let's try and get this video really out there as a community!
What an awesome and such well spoken kid! He’s so lucky to have you as a mentor and have such a supportive family of his dreams! What a great video Nate!
A really exciting video, it was really interesting to watch from the beginning to the end. You are both champions for being able to do what you did. And it was interesting to hear his story and see you helping him.
Congrats on your first regional @Pokezard! As somebody who attended many Magic: The Gathering tournaments I remember that first tournament being very overwhelming. But after you get that first one out of the way, you just keep thinking about when you can do it again. I'm glad that Pokemon has a bright future in both collecting and play with the next gerenation.
A father's support is an incredible thing. My dad bought me a few packs most weekends in 2000-2001, saw the first 2 pokemon movies with me, and supported my hobbies. 20 years later, we are collecting Mew cards together while states away from each other, and it's been a way to keep connecting. All of this support won't be forgotten.
Congratulations for going to and participating in regionals ! You are a very bright kid and will go far ! You have the support of your family and great friends ! Way to go kiddo ! :)

Awesome vid Nate. Thanks for sharing and making this. Heading to my first regionals next month here in Charlotte. Super great to see this before I went.
Dude, thats so awesome! Its a really inspirational story! I was about Pokezard's age when I first begib playing Pokemon TCG, back in the Jungle era, and I wish I had my parants supoorting me like that and Pokezard's will and resolve to participate in a tournmant so early... Thats was really awesome and that kid will go a long way
Such an inspiring story. I’m 20 now, collecting and playing on and off for half my life, and I’ve NEVER had the courage to go to an event. The biggest thing I’ve gone to has been a few prereleases, but never a tournament. I’ve always wanted to go to Worlds, and ESPECIALLY with it being in Japan this year, though that’s most likely not happening for me. Seeing this story is great. With my favorite Pokémon, Gardevoir, looking to be a great card competitively, maybe Scarlet & Violet will be my chance to not only get into competitive, but do it with my favorite Pokémon.
Happy Pokemon Day to everybody , Isaiah´s story is so inspiring and just show how amazing pokemon is and how it brings people together, pokemon tcg is still kinda small in my little latin american country but have had lots meeting and having fun with pokemon in our local tcg store, here is to more memories with pokemon and friends, always remember that we all start somewhere , I still lose and have trouble building decks but the learning part is so important, enjoyed the documentary a lot , here is to more
Such a touching story with a lot of meaning for the next generation of Pokemon fans and Pokemon first-gens I too can relate going to my local card store, competing as a kid, and to now to being an adult, brings back these good memories
Had an abasolutely devastating day and watching this helped. Thank you, it brought me so many childhood memories. I wish my parents had been that supportive (or at least a bit caring) but anyways this is a prime example of how important is to deeply care for your kids and those around you.
Huge congratulations to PokeZard! And huge thank you and congrats to you Nate for using your platform to further this amazing hobby and community. Such an amazing video ☮️ ❤ 🖐️
Holy crap nate, that was absolutely amazing to watch. You brought a tear to this 31 year Olds eyes, I remember opening packs and trading with friends when pokemon first started. I only wish I kept all my cards to pass on to my nephew who is really into it now. I had every card that is worth tons now in my binders as a kid, even doubles and triples. Great video man
Well done @pokezard the world needs more people like you. Big up to Nate for this superb video. I’m going through a difficult time with the recent passing of my mum but your videos shed some light into that darkness so I appreciate you and what you give to people ‘all around the world’!!
Happy Pokemon Day to everybody , Isaiah´s story is so inspiring and just show how amazing pokemon is and how it brings people together, pokemon tcg is still kinda small in my little latin american country but have had lots meeting and having fun with pokemon in our local tcg store, here is to more memories with pokemon and friends, always remember that we all start somewhere , I still lose and have trouble building decks but the learning part is so important, enjoyed the documentary a lot , here is to more
Touching documentary on Pokezard. He seems like a great kid and papa pokezard sounds like a very supportive father...and i love his shirt.
Such a touching story with a lot of meaning for the next generation of Pokemon fans and Pokemon first-gens
I too can relate going to my local card store, competing as a kid, and to now to being an adult, brings back these good memories

Had an abasolutely devastating day and watching this helped. Thank you, it brought me so many childhood memories. I wish my parents had been that supportive (or at least a bit caring) but anyways this is a prime example of how important is to deeply care for your kids and those around you.
