As a kid I didn't find The Lion King that hard. Had it for my Mega Drive. It was frustrating at times but I managed to beat it. Nowadays I can't even get past the lava cave near the end. We just got all rusty because hard games like back then are scarce today.
Aladdin is my favorite game ever even today. I used to go to the city library where there was a DOS PC and kids where queuing to play for 15 min each. I was always playing Aladdin and got really good at it :) When my parents bought me my first 486 PC I would complete this game every day :)
Aladin the first video game I ever played. This takes me back to when I was 9 years old. Thanks for the nostalgic reminder. Still a great looking game.
UPDATE: Disney has recently announced that both video games are going to re-released in one package under the title “Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King,” coming in Fall 2019 to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. The Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy versions of both games are all going to be included, and all remastered in 1080p Full HD.
I totally dominated the Lion King, that game is so well built into my muscle memory that I was twitching and moving my thumbs during your review, fucking LOVE that game!!!!
You're so right ! Aladdin its super fun ! i really enjoyed playing it the first time i got it borrowed from one friend, if im not wrong, i finished that night cause i was so into it, but dont worry to much about the ending, usually disney games had bad endings, i dont remember about this one, but surely it wasnt good. Your vids are amazing ! respect
I never found the lion king to be hard, i beat it when i was 3-4 years old, but mostly because i played it so many times with my brothers and what not. nice review
I definitely preferred the Super Nintendo Aladdin. I also played the SNES Lion King and loved that. I do agree that it was challenging, though, but I played it so much that I was able to beat the game.
awesome review i love the Disney titles they were for sure some of the best platformers on any system cheers you should try the mickey mouse ones a well cheers bro thumbs up cya
I grew up playing Aladdin for the Genesis. Really love that game. I also own the SNES version, and it is really good as well. I enjoy the genesis version more though.
You need to fix the way you capture your gameplay, you can't see the entire screen, which is really annoying. Great reviews though man ! Loved Aladdin as a kid and still do, one of the best Genesis games in my opinion.
Awesome review, but too bad you didn't include the music of those games. I remember having those background 'songs' in my head for weeks or possibly even months. Now I think about it - I think I even saved money to buy a soundcard and speakerset for these games as a 10 year old or something. :-)
this game kicked ass back in the day. still does... I didnt like the lion king game all that much because when I was a kid it PISSED me off with how hard it was
I don't think the Snes was consider more popular then the Genesis version, on the count of the Genesis version sold millions of more units....& won awards
they were totally awesome at the time but for some reason i wnet back in time i think the snes and nes are better but i think alddin is very fun still lion king wasnt as good to me but still extremely awesome and fun
Just started playing The Lion King again knowing how hard it was when I was a kid. I'm much older now and well, The Lion King is still so fucking ridiculously hard! The Hit-boxes to swing on small ledges are sometimes impossible to grab. The jumping mechanism is retarded as fuck and those jumping hyenas make me want to slap a bitch. BUT i shouldn't complain because i have spent hours and hours playing this game and somehow quite enjoyed getting my ass handed to me by a children's platform game
@Snestastic - Thanks man! You have been one of my earliest supporters, and I really appreciate that!

I liked your comment on how you enjoy side scrolling platformers despite your ineptness,
I'm exactly the same with scrolling shooters and 2D fighters.
Great review!, thanks for sharing.
I definitely preferred the Super Nintendo Aladdin.

I had these two, sonic pinball and Mortal Kombat when I was a kid. I literately found out by accident ABBA ABBA on Aladdin. Crazy

Your right that pink elephant is hard to see. I hate that bugga.
I finished the lion king and it took me like 10 years lmao
I had aladdin on the super nintendo
I have Aladdin complete and Lion King.
I beat The Lion King but Aladdin is rough for me lol.
pocahontas is also a good game
I don't get why these types of games were so damned hard. Theyre suppose to be for kids.
I always hated the ostrich part.
I had aladin on the megadrive and snes i have to say the sega version is far superior the snes version was far too easy
i like the ps1 Lion King game better
Yeah I remember Lion king sucked back then.
I can show you the world...
