I love how you two give each other crap! That’s a sign of true friendship right there. You guys always find a way to make me laugh(in a good way) one way or another!
That excavator was definitely well maintained before it was “retired”. Makes me wonder why it was left to sit. Perhaps it became too expensive to run versus newer units.
Glad to hear you guys were able to find it a new home. Doesn’t seem like it will require too much work to fix up either.
Thank you!
Brings back memories! I spent many hours on one in the early 80’s. I was in my late teens early twenties. Those engines were sweet!
Cool!
Great little touch with calling the King. Great video
Lol. We thought it was funny 😁
Thanks for another great video Hank. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Wow. Big machine you got there. Glad the king was able to help you with the machine details. Big machine.
Started easy and quickly. You and Wiley sure got it going quickly. Does run fairly good. Wiley was able to run the controls.
Good job Hank and Wiley. Ready for another when you all are.
Looking forward to the next video.
You both take care and and be safe.
Thanks for everything.
Retired Air Force veteran.
Steve.
Thanks!
I’m 16 and I do stuff like you guys do I did a whole engine swap when I was 15 by myself in 4 days had to pull it from another machine and put in my machine I have a gehl skid steer I also had to replace hydraulic pump
You guys are lucky the king helped you to get that piece of equipment going 😉👍☮️
😁
When Wiley became complacent with that Crescent Wrench and arched out, I about Fell out the Chair. Pleasure as always & appreciate you for bringing us along. I’ll catch you on the next One, Keep It Safe Out There Fellas
Yes sir!
You two are some real tight friends. The best relationships are one's in which you bust each other's chops. Keep up the great videos and stay safe!
Right on. He’s my buddy for sure. I’m glad he puts up with me😂
Howboutcha guys!! That is one cool old piece of iron. Imagine the stories it could tell if it could talk. Glad to see it getting a new lease on life!!
Always good to see the Dynamic Duo being successful in getting these old machines started. Enjoyed as always.
Thanks buddy!
"That thing's makin oil!" 😄 Wow...that was one of the easier ones. Hank, you and Wiley are gonna have to find one that's been sitting for 50 years, make it more of a challenge! 🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing you guys! 👍👍👍
Good job the king was helping you guys otherwise it might have been a bit difficult 👍👍👍
Back in the day the water and sewer company I worked for had a rush of jobs. I was accustomed to modern excavators with the cab on the left side. I developed a “tick” where I would turn my head to the right to watch my pipe layer. The company brought to the site a JD 790 B with the cab on the right for backfilling. Took me some concentration to break the right look habit.
I hear ya
It's "kibosh," I believe is the way it's spelled. "She put the KIBOSH on it." Or, "She nixed the deal."
I love watching and listening to you two working to get these machines started.
Thanks for adding to my life.
Finally, an excavator for left-handed folks!
Will it start & dig? 1979 Excavator hasn’t moved in years! amazing..good job sir
Hank and Wiley really are a dynamic duo. Their interactions are pure gold.
Thanks for watching!
Love Your Videos My Favorite Is The Video Of The Samsung Excavator.
Howboutcha Hank! Hope you and Wiley have a great weekend.
I kinda like that old thing. Youd have a fortune in repairs but itd be fun to have lol
Lol. I heard that.
💥 Well that started way too easy.
*Keep on tractoring!*
I have got the same machine a john deere 690b that come out of a field after 25 years that I got running and moving It is supposed to be around a 20 ton machine glad to see more of these machines coming back to life
I have one also that sat in a pasture field for 15 years with no engine in it. I put a engine in it and it walks and talks and loves dirt
great to see elvis make a second come back. fun to see wally spark that big girl back to life. lol. all ways fun time. cheers guys.
That old antique stuff is pretty awesome Hank Wiley y'all are awesome lol
Thank you!
You two guys having a blast enjoying yourself getting these great machines up and running again. Hopefully somebody will put her back to work as she has plenty of years left to work.
Watching from over the pond in the UK .
Cheers
I always hit LIKE before even seeing the video. Your commentary during getting the engine going is already priceless. That phonecall was sublime ! What a crap location for those batteries. You got her going. Awesome !
Thanks much!
That was great Hank and Whilley great job loved it 👏.
There goes sparky at it again messin w batteries lol! Love the chemistry you and wiley have
I really enjoy your content. It’s nice watching two guys I can relate to working on old iron.
Thanks !
Thanks Hank and Wiley for a great job on the excavator thanks again
Thanks for watching!
The flow divider helped with crawling function. It took power from the system and boosted the travel.
Ah! Thanks!
I like ur video
Hank, I usually wait to actually see a whole video before I click to like but the call to the King got the thumbs this time LOLOL!
And when you opened up that left side access door, the first thing through my mind was "it's got an built in onboard BBQ grill on it"!!!
Lol I hear ya
@@HamiltonvilleFarm You or Wiley stated "it's electric over hydraulic control" or somethin' to that effect.
Is that a good or bad thing?
Someone who has some time will be getting a nice looking machine
I don't know who commented about not picking on Wiley's weight, but they must not know that guys who are good friends always pick on each other! If that banter wasn't there, you'd just be two guys working together. Just a bit of trivia about that ether starting aid, the Cat 797 truck ether aid has a bank of 4 cans to feed the 20 cylinder engine! Great video as always guys! 😀
That’s right.
Glad to see you and wally at it again and wow that thing started without having to take anything apart so that was a good will run for sure guys .Take and god bless....
Deere Ether is about the best you can get purity wise. Looked like it used a 404 power plant which was very widely used by deere in tractors and combines. Fun fact about Elvis he bought a IH 300 utility for Mowing Graceland. Then later on i think he bought a Deere 4010 with loader for his property as well
Indeed he did
Hi from uk guys👋👍 some great will it runs in this yard👌 and this baby just needs to go on after few mins running it even cleaned up lije was parked yesterday and 2400 hours man whaaaatt😱 looks clean to great one today guys and love the elvis on hand to call anytime but you can tell hes got a "" little less conversation"" 😂😂 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
😁👍
My father owned a dirt hauling business when I was a kid, and I worked for the company as a gopher doing dirty jobs like fixing flats and crawling under to replace u-joints.
One day the loader operator didn’t show up at a job site. They had a JD 690-B there. I had about 45 minutes to figure it out enough to start loading trucks, and while I wasn’t the fastest loader operator trucks got loaded that day, and I got faster and faster as the day wore on.
Seeing this video brought back a lot of memories for me. Y’all keep up the good work!
👍
Thank you for your APPRECIATION
Man, I love the way yall cut up! Reminds me of my old coworker
You should get a step ladder for Wally. It will make it a lot safer for both of you.
Love the cruise control, all the best to you all
Great job hank and walley👈👍
Thanks!
Inside line , 'The King' on call you guys are the greatest! Great content-- Again!
Thanks for watching!
I originally am from Virginia,I miss some of my friends that were Good Ol Boys like you two. Love the channel.
Thanks!
Good to see Elvis managed to climb out that grave after sleeping so long. Least we might get some good music again soon....
Bought the this thing's making oil t shirt and I love it definitely one of the most comfortable shirts i've ever bought
Thank you. I truly appreciate that
Good to see “the hound dog” back.
🔧😁
* blue series * throttle cable love it .. keep the black smoke Rollin boys
Nice job, y’all got it running and operating!
Hey boys. Great to see a bit of action from the King. Loving it.
Great will it start Hank, that old excavator runs good!
Thanks for watching!
I have one just like it sitting in the field I love running that thing
Elvis 🕺🏼and Fireworks 💥 Love it!
🕺🏻🔧👍
That’s a really nice machine, Iv been looking a 690 or a 490 for a while around NC.
Cool!
Today JD 690 and 490 are dirt cheap, the price is usually a little above scrap price, often those machines in running condition are less than the price of a 10 year old Toyota Camry, The real expense is trucking the machine around.
Great video. Good to hear that old beast run
Wiley reminds of the kind of guy that ran machine when it was new 🦺
👍
Great stuff chaps, Willey's a proper cool dude.
Cheers from the UK
Ian
Ok hank! Calling the king like that. That was gangster tho
Lol
Those joke scenes were really funny including those phone calls 🤣
Thanks!
Tracks don't look like a sway-back horse, no 'Whiskey Dents' all over. Doesn't look bad, fellers! Put some glass in and dig yourself a supply pond for the Flower Farm - THEN sell it! I know who the owner is and could probably put a good word in for you., Hank 🤣 Thanks for the Saturday morning fun!
Howaboutcha Hank and wally great job guys
Thanks!
great machine, owned one in my 30s,that knob you are spinning is the throttle.
Interesting thanks
Hank when you were making your final comments a number 2022 seemed to be welded on the bucket !!
My boy my boy been awhile ✌️
Howboutcha!

Excellent video Hank :) & Wiley :) yes those Rectangular batteries 2000 Cold Cranking Amps has 6 caps for and one post for + & - batteries on top to farm tractor use them too called Commercial grade ! Those batteries are 24 inches long & 8 inches wide and have 2 ropes both ends of too to carry and they weight about 20 pounds not kidding ya ! I lift one myself my late Dad had them on 2 farm tractors one each ! Expensive to buy them but last long time if guys want know and should have couple on hand to !
I like yalls new intro! looks good.
Appreciate it
As my ol' pappy used to say: Gina put the " KYBOSH" on that buy!
Oh, and Hank, I am tickled that you have a direct line to the King (where ever he is residing nowadays) and I was surprised at his knowledge of heavy machinery LOL!
😂
Dresser ain't nothing but a fancy name for IH/Corn Popper stuff.
you boys would be a hoot to spend a day with. Keep up the good work
Thanks!
Started up and ran like it was running yesterday.
Yeah.. it’s always cool to see them fire off like that
Great video my dad had a john deere 690 there fun to drive
Right on!
Hank that engine sounds like the one John Deere put in the 4430s
According to Deere site, this is a 12V machine. It had two 6V batteries.
Batteries located under starting fluid. Around $10 k turn each battery 90 degrees add antifreeze
She put the Kabash to your idea!😂😂😂😂
Lol. That’s right
I need that thing to dig a pond. I guess I need to looking in Junk Yards
Right on!
i enjoy your videos sure like to see if you and wiley could get that red for dump truck next to the excavator started
What a great SATURDAY MORNING ,Hank/Wiley you 2 gotta be the best craziest boys on youtube this morning, almost spit out my coffee at one point,LOL, those old JD Diggers were good machines and only 2476 hrs on it, musta been used at a soil company is my guess, and too bad your chief financial officer couldn't see clear the dividends it would bring in 2022 and some free work at home to 😉, whoever gets it will have a good machine and can still get some parts for it or they are not too hard to upgrade somethings, 👍
Thank you Bob
Hi hank y’all are amazing i love watching your videos you do a awesome job on your videos your huge fan Sean from Lebanon Oklahoma
Right on
@@HamiltonvilleFarm y’all are awesome
I guess this is stupid question but is it sold already? I think Gina would tell me I could buy it. Enjoyed it fellas.

Great job guys..Kudos to Gina for being the voice of reason however, having said that, she did let Hank leave the house wearing shorts and long black socks..
😂😂
Damn . That deere is from the late 80's and early 90's. It will run if it aint locked up
