Chubby Checker! lol Feel for you Dark, trail riding can be tough if you don't do it a lot, it's all momentum, clutch, throttle control and standing up everywhere is key
When moto guys go trail riding….they make a turn track in the middle of nowhere😂😂 that is always the best. You yelling at dark to stand up gives me flashbacks of my dad yelling the same thing. Great video. Darrrrrrrrkkkkkk
Dude that got me pumped to go riding back up there with you! Chubby Checker!! Let the dude sit for a minute! Literally 2 seconds later! Get up!! Lmao. Miss you guys
I think you should do the opposite video as well. I've been riding desert/trails my whole life and consider myself to be a pretty capable rider. Recently went to a track for the first time and the only track open was the National Track. Vet Track was closed. I did 3 laps and ended up spraining my wrist on the massive jumps. And I was trying to roll them too lmao. The jumps are seriously terrifying when all you've ever ridden are trails and desert.
Great vid !! Don’t get discouraged guys , bike setup is completely diff from moto to trail you want a softer suspension setup and less power in the technical stuff. Body position is key too, attack position for me is the same but I stand 75% of the day when I’m trail riding, work on clutch control and static balance drills it helped me a ton! I’m not fast at all but I’m a decent technical trail rider! Also on the down hills leave use clutch while on the brakes to slow down with out locking the tire up it’s like abs 😉
Dude, Tardside has no trail chops! (At least he's humble about it). So funny! In my measly estimation, moto guys should train offroad and trials. Standing, which seems to be a lost skill, and weighting the pegs to turn the bike are so basic and effective for fun and fast trail riding. After years of moto, I'm a diehard trail/offroad geek - having more fun than ever. BTW, love those memes about Cody Webb and the San Francisco Supercross - he would have murdered all of them!
Been riding in HV since I was a little kid. Still my favorite area to ride to this day. I've seen Ricky B out there a few times. I have never seen the Keefers though 🥲 the trail running along the aquaduct is super fun and technical. I also love all the single track mtb trails which really help with clutch control and warming you up before getting into the choppy stuff in hills way back there from the railroad.
man watching this for me must feel exactly like a moto guy watching my moto footage lol. Its nuts how different setup is for every aspect of this sport. Its like fruit, they're all fruit but every damn ones ENTIRELY different. Same as all the different disciplines you have with dirtbikes lol. What matters most is that fun was had by all.
Anybody who watched this video all the way to the end was in for such a treat. That was the most hilarious thing of all time, a real life full-blown meltdown. Nothing better and holy shit dark could give Aaron Rodgers a run for his money with that goggle toss.
The majority of the riding I’ve done most of my life is single track. I mean like 8-10” hiking trailers with massive rocks, logs, off camber tree roots. The biggest piece of advice I can give a new guy is look as far ahead as possible. Looking directly in front of your bike at little obstacles will fuck you up. If you’re looking a head your body will naturally adjust to it.
I grew up about just down the hill from where you guys played in the sand, there is a ‘track’ of sorts up on the ridge to your left as you’re cruising by the creek
Yes! Where is part 2? We need the rest of Darkside's meltdown. I don't ride MX but do high mountain singletrack. I would probably have a meltdown on a track...lol.
I love moto bikes in the woods. I live in eastern ky. We have some huge mountain and nice trails. It def makes u a better rider for sure. Wish I took advantage of this type of riding when u was a kid actually trying to race.
The people want to know how this finished Kris? Did he make it out? Is he still out there? Did he find his goggles? Will he ever off road again? Way too many unanswered questions......HAHAHAHA, great content, stick with it Jamie, it gets better!!
Try being a road racer that gets into off road. Went from being a slow MA racer/fast local to being whooped by teenagers on clapped ktm125s in the C class...😥
the time was 1974.......riding in a sand pit, google this 42°32'37.8"N 71°57'11.8"W its still there just a little more grown in......on my tm75.......where they excavated away the hill is where we used to drop off from the top into the soft sand 30 feet below ......good times right then.......
Also I think hard enduro dudes are debatiibly the the most talented dudes in bikes. It doesn’t look like much on tv but when you go ride that shit…it’ll out it right into proactive for you
Riding moto bikes through single track or hard trail is no Bueno unless you are a pro at speed. A nice plush suspension and a bike that will crawl without flame out makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. moto man turned single track rider here. Love it. They are all moto tracks if ya don't care what's around the next corner. 😂👽👽👽👽
Mx us technical but its same terrain over and over....offroad every corner and trail is different Mx did help offroad riding a ton for me....jumps, cornering, ruts, whoops..... Offroad has rocks, tons if em😂
Moto bikes kinda suck trail riding too, especially after you’ve ridden a good trail bike. 250XCW? Yes, please, and all day long. 450XC? Maybe for 30 minutes, and then no thank you.
homie yall should have just aired down /adj susp you would have had a better time, gave me anxiety just watching you ride behind your buddy... fkn-brootal RIP back tire/kidneys/forkseals
“Let a man sit for a second.”
Less than one second later…
“Hey! Get up!!”
😭
😂😂😂😂
lol!!!
The people demand more off-road content!
Chubby Checker! lol Feel for you Dark, trail riding can be tough if you don't do it a lot, it's all momentum, clutch, throttle control and standing up everywhere is key
I was waiting for Donn to pop out on his MTB
😂

This is sweet Keefer. I think it adds some context to the podcasts. Pretty jealous of the riding location. Cheers 🤙
Best ending ever!!!
Dude that got me pumped to go riding back up there with you!
Chubby Checker!!
Let the dude sit for a minute! Literally 2 seconds later!
Get up!! Lmao.
Miss you guys
Daaaaarrrk come from the ditches, he is not a mountain man. "Chubby Checker??" 😂
This was mint, you should show more of this. Enjoyed it
Daaaaaarrrrk at the end. Been there😅. I yeeted my helmet at a boulder in the woods one time during a melt down.

There is a sweet little outdoor track on the west side of the auqusduct
Dude, love that Honda Valley footage. The east side of the aqueduct.
Best content I have seen from Keefer👍👍

Nice to finally watch a Dirtbike video with some four strokes instead of listening to the chainsaws.
Yes! Where is part 2? We need the rest of Darkside's meltdown. I don't ride MX but do high mountain singletrack. I would probably have a meltdown on a track...lol.
Throwing the goggles always helps in a time of frustration
How did I not see this 😂 legendary.
Love the Rossler trail!!!
Sick trails. If went there I would get lost and never find my way back. It reminds me of the first Microsoft MotoX Madness.
Chubby Checker
He pretty good for the first time being on a dirt bike.

Got my 1st concussion at HV back around 91 🤪😂. So fun 🤙🏻
Try being a road racer that gets into off road. Went from being a slow MA racer/fast local to being whooped by teenagers on clapped ktm125s in the C class...😥
Great vid. Do this more with other guys that come out. Also, did we cut the meltdown short? Is there an extended version?!?
Safe word. Lol. Love it!

Someone has a wee bit of a temper! Lol
Aquiduct trail one of my favorites

Quality ending sir, cheers 4 sharing.
Those goggles are still flying….DDDDAAAAAARRRRRRKKKKKKKK
Dark going Uncle Rico tossing those goggles to win the game! Troll Training can use that for a commercial! EKS brand not so much
I was waiting for you to hit the LR Great Escape trail.
Grew up riding rock bed, rutted up, nasty, bush whacking trails an hills before I started riding legit moto tracks. Blessing and a curse.
Love the off-road vids!
U might be on to something with this title and u got a good intro already lol 🔥
"HEY HEY GET UP" haha
Awesome ride.i have been in dark's shoes a time or 2.lol

DAAAAARK
Loosen up Mr. Side, you look super stiff buddy
Get a better mic and also get mic'd up with the people that you're riding with so we can hear the banter
The only great place you got keefer is mesquite mx
Moto bikes kinda suck trail riding too, especially after you’ve ridden a good trail bike. 250XCW? Yes, please, and all day long. 450XC? Maybe for 30 minutes, and then no thank you.
What an epic ride🤙
