Sir maybe I am missing something, when you play at 144 it seems like you are playing Dhit Dha Ta, Tit Dha Ta(Dadra),it sounds the same when you say it. What am I missing?
It’s all about pronunciation. If you say just ‘Dhit,’ it will be Dadra. But if you say ‘Dhite’ or ‘Dhi-ta,’ it will be keherwa. The other reason could be that you aren’t placing the bols on the correct beats. If the bol is Dhit Ta Ta | Tit Dha Ta, (sam)Dhit - Ta Ta | (khali) Tit - Dha Ta is keherwa (sam) Dhit Ta Ta | (khali) Tit Dha Ta is dadra The hyphen is used as a sign to represent a beat with no bols
Thank you for your help but the question I have is that when Guruji is explaining in slow speed he is playing Te(Sam) and Dhe(khali) where you have the hyphen and high speed he doesn’t seem to saying or playing these two bols.
I'm saying and playing ALL FOUR bols in each half which is a 4+4 rhythm = Keharwa. Sometimes fast Dadra and Keharwa gives the "perception" of being the other. Follow my fingers and bols and you'll see that it is strictly Keharwa. In each half I have played exactly 4 bols.
Great Sir, Thanks for another lesson

Nice!
Thanks
Nice. One of my fav patterns and a hard one to get the consistency of the stroke sounds.
Happy learning. It takes a bit of practice to get the right consistency and wazan of the Bayan on this one.
Thank you for all the lessons you have shared on your channel. It is great for the tabla community and people who can’t get access to a teacher.❤
