This was definitely influenced by "The Final Takeoff" from the old After Burner games. Note the rhythm of the bass. Chord progressions aren't too far off either, nor the drums, and it is a fighter-jet game - I think it was on purpose.

You consider doing Hanger 2? That won was infinitely more epic, I think...
