I’m a revert, my husband is Palestinian (raised in Jordan). We don’t sit mixed when friends come over, we don’t do double dates, etc. yet some of his more westernized friends will still invite us or if we go to their homes, try to have us all sit together. You either politely decline the invites or politely ask for the women/men to be in seperate rooms. It can be uncomfortable but our deen is more important than avoiding discomfort. Our deen is more important than making friends happy or continuing friendships that allow shaytan to enter. Stay strong in your deen and turn to Allah

What were things like years ago for our mothers and grandmothers? Even if they did not get it right, somehow Alhamdulilah Allah gave them guidance. Some of these Muslim social media influencers are missing the mark, wearing improper hijab, making it more of a fashion trend than an act of worship and submission to Allah. Men are losing their protective nature and masculinity and we are encouraging it. We all must accept our part in this.

I love how balanced Daniel was in his approach of giving naseeha this time. You could tell that he really cares for sister Jasmine and brother Dawoud and the younger generation overall. When he showed some examples of videos that demonstrate how you could avoid and work around the stated issues such as haya, tabarujj etc. I didn't expect he would bring up these videos, especially not videos from them again tbh. So that was a nice take and, as mentioned, very balanced. Also the fact he addressed the evil eye, made Du'a for them and applied husn al-dhan. May this video reach them and may it make them think and change for the better as well as each and every of us.

Actually Malaysia have 13 states and federal territories(you should know this), and the only state and territory that are kind of worrying because of "too modern" is only State of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The others are pretty much quite traditional. By the way, the school system, printing system and even entertainment system ARE MORE CONTROLLED than Australia. You will not see ANY lgbtq or liberal muslim ideologiea infiltrated into that sphere BUT not Australia.
If i were to choose bringing up my children, i will still prefer Malaysia over Australia though. It is by miles.

what scholars do u watch honestly stop tarnishing the reputation of scholars. scholars around the world in India,gulf Africa and Asia do speak about this issues. the youth don’t value seeing knowledge they think watching vids in the internet makes them knwokdgeable. go to the scholars sit under their feet around the world and you realise they are teaching. i have seen talking about things like staying away from freemixing and wearing hajib this is elementary ilm. what books of fiqh have you read from level one to the upper advanced. the youth don’t seek knowledge then blame the scholars. scholars don’t have time for this Basic repetitive basic islamic knowledge they are teaching tafseer and sciences of islam.

Me and my husband have been married for almost 3 years now, we have a daughter. NEVER have i posted anything of my family on social media. My husband loves to post WhatsApp status and include us in his profile. The first time he did it. I politely asked him to never include me in any of the social media platforms. He didnt understand why because i was modestly dressed and there was no harm in it and its a norm to have a "profile". But i didn't like it. He understood and respects my wishes. But he still posts of him but rarely. I think i maybe influencing him. Lol
I dont like social media as it literally drains my mental energy. I watch youtube and stuff but i don't actively post.
