Turns out that killing her mist generation doesn't even stop her being a viable pick, and late game her healing is DUMB, ever seen Senna/Yuumi or Senna/Soraka? Anyhow as far as Brand goes before he dies he can still auto win a teamfight just pressing W+R into the enemy team, no other spells required. Mid Brand being one of my top picks the last 2 months or so has shown me even 0/5/2 or something in laning phase I can still auto win a dragon/baron fight for my team, so much fun! Take Electrocute and E+Basic level 1 procs it so much fun

Never understood AP Brand.. In my opinion he needs tons of magic penetration... 14 pen from runes 15 pen from sorc boots 15 pen from liandry -> and op passive that lasts ages with brand passive rylai -> also lasts ages thx to brand passive and doubles liandry's damage 39% magic pen from void staff and masteries in some cases abyssal is also good, in close range it is also 20 "magic pen" With this build, it doesn't matter who you hit with a single spell, loses third to half health... if enemy has 50 mr: 39% of 50 is around 19 and you add the 44 (+ optional 20 from abyssal) and they have negative mr if enemy has 100 mr: 39+44 = 83... 100-83 = 17 ... if you have abyssal it's still negative... if enemy has 200 mr: 78+44 = 122... 200-122 = 78 (58 with abyssal) With this in mind, unless the enemy is a tank that stacks mr, your passive deals MORE than 2% max HP / sec for 4 sec, Also you still have some kind of burst because the flat damages from your spells also increase against negative mr Also liandry (doubled with rylai) deals more damage than usual thanks to the negative mr.. Also the 14 pen from runes can be achieved by only 9 red and 3 quints, so you can still go armor and mr blues and yellows Also Rylai and Liandry give 700 HP Sometimes I even go 29 defensive masteries, tho then it's not 39% but 35% or whatever void staff was nerfed to some ages ago... So yeah, Brand needs PEN and not AP... his passive is op enough... especially by ticking Liandry and Rylai for 4 more secs... And he can even go tanky...
Buy with his percentages, having lots of AP grants huge amounts of burst. That build of yours is good for poking, but it usually will take a lot of time to 100-0 your enemies.
Zoxygene And with traditional ap brand they have to be very carefull after 0 pokes. And with Jayce they nearly are forced to go back to base after one poke.
Zoxygene And, just pointing out, but i'm quite sure that having more magic pen than the enemy magic resist cause the damage to work basically like true damage, but doesn't cause "Negative resistance" and doesn't cause damage amplification. Negative resistance is caused by reducing the foe resistance under 0 by effects like Fiddle's passive or Abyssal Scepter's aura and does cause bonus damage, but is impossible to be reached by brand. And also, enemy with 100 mr will have effectively 4.8 mr, with abyssal because the percent magic pen is applied after the mr reducing aura. With 200 mr this makes the enemy effective mr, with abyssal 65,8 mr.
