    This one’s kinda obvious:
    ““Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.””

    Only God can forgive sins. Jesus forgives sins:
    ““Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?” But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”-He *said to the paralytic,”

      That's not a fact. That's a belief. I understand and respect that you believe that, but it is not a fact. I take issue with this because your beliefs affect your actions, and far too often the actions of religious people acting on their faith causes great harm to others. Again, I understand you believe this, but please do not impose your beliefs onto others.

    • @LoveAndLiberty02

      I don't think Dr. Craig would say that Jesus is the trinity, I think he has said something like all "three persons" of the trinity are "properly" called God (whatever that means), indicating their co-equality.

    Jesus in His humanity is inferior to the Father, finite and mortal. This is why He experienced human life as a normal man. But in regard to His divinity, He is infinite, superior and immortal. These two can be clearly evident in His death and resurrection.
    When we consider Him in regard to His humanity, all we shall find is that He is inferior, limited, mortal etc. Also, all humanity had its existence in and from Adam.
    But Christ was not only human, He was also divine. This is why He was born of Mary and the Holy Spirit. All Mary did was to give a body to this eternal life of God that came into her as the Spirit.
    Therefore, Christ should be understood in these two lives, in His human life and in His divine Life.
    God in Christ put on humanity and blended together divinity with humanity. Though He did this, He never annulled humanity off of its priorities. This is why in humanity He admitted that God is greater than He. God is greater because He is the creator of humanity. All humanity bear allegiance to Him. Though He put on humanity, he never deprived it of this. He still considered humanity as inferior to divine, limited and finite too. He never exalted humanity higher than God, even though He was God Himself in this humanity. He respected it, embraced all its limitations and carried on with it.
    This is why Jesus never went everywhere saying "I am God". This would have been a violation. It would have seemed or looked like humanity trying to exalt itself.
    It would have looked like an insane person (limited, finite and human) trying to call Himself God.
    The Bible never teaches this. The Bible never teaches that there had lived a man on this earth who was God! Believing this way is hilarious.
    However, the Bible clearly shows us that on this earth, God, who is infinite, eternal, unlimited and divine, once put on the humanity and lived among us. It is always the Word becoming flesh, not the flesh claiming to be the word!

    • @denismagambo9380
      @denismagambo9380 11 днів тому

      When we consider Him in regard to His humanity, we should be careful. His humanity was not different from mine or yours. Jesus in His humanity experienced human life just like a normal human. He wept, felt hungry, walked, sung, praised God, prayed to God etc. He lived a normal human life.
      However, though this was this way, it never meant that He wasn't divine. He still expressed out His divinity by doing things only a divine person can do, eg, He forgave sins, controlled nature, and even accepted worship.
      But, even if He did all these things, His intention was not to prove out to mankind that He was divine. No, His intention was to prove out to man that He was God in a human form( 1 John 4:1-3)
      Now where does the confusion comes from? It comes from us men who think that through the Gospels Christ was trying to prove to man that He was God. Then we start to divide ourselves between those who believe that Jesus was God and those who believe that Jesus was a man .
      What was He? He was both!
      The Gospels are not here to prove to us that there lived a man on this earth who called himself God. This is not the revelation.

      When you consider history, you will find something twisted. Many believers who ignore Christ's divinity today believe that this idea of Christ being divine was added in the early stages of the church by Constantine the great during the council of Nicea. They believe that before this, believers used to believe that Jesus was a man (without being divine) and he was sent by God on earth to execute salvation.
      But when you carry out a care full study of scriptures and the history, you will find it out that something was twisted.
      During the early ages believers used to believe that Jesus was divine and human. However, the enemy came in and started to attack this. How? By making believers believe that Jesus was not HUMAN!
      In early ages Satan didn't attack Jesus's divinity, he attacked His humanity, probably by making believers believe that Jesus was not HUMAN ( read 1 John 4:1-3 carefully)
      Not only so, this attack was also carried out on Jesus Himself when He was living here. When you read His temptation in the desert well and carefully, you will find out this attack was behind that scenario

    • @denismagambo9380
      @denismagambo9380 11 днів тому

      During this temptation, the devil always addressed Jesus as the "Son of God" ( Matt 4:3, 6). What was the devil trying to do? He was simply trying to acknowledge the divinity of Christ. Now, as a divine person, it couldn't have been too much if Jesus turned stones into bread!
      However, while replying the devil, Jesus embraced His humanity by answering " It is written: 'man'..."
      This was a hidden battle behind that temptation. To make Jesus Christ accept that He is divine but not human! This is what inspired John to write that passage in 1 John 4:1-3

    • @denismagambo9380
      @denismagambo9380 11 днів тому

      Our early brothers believed in the two natures of Christ --divinity and humanity. The devil came in to distort this by manipulating them to believe that Jesus as the Son of God was divine but not human.
      In John, the idea was not to prove to us that Jesus was God. John wrote to prove to us that God became Jesus, He put on Jesus and lived among us. Jesus never tried to prove Himself to us as God, rather, He proved out clearly to us that through HIM God, who is divine, infinite, eternal, the creator, superior, supreme, Almighty, greater, immortal etc, became human. The infinite put on finite, the unlimited walked through the limited, the superior experienced the inferior etc. He tested humanity on our behalf ( He 2:8-18)
      However, though He put on humanity, He never existed to be divine!
      He did all this to as accomplish His purpose. His purpose is to have sons. This can only be accomplished by Him going through the process of becoming the Father, the Son and the Spirit. The Trinity is not for doctrinal purpose, it is not just for theological fact; rather, it is for the accomplishment of God's Eternal purpose. Only those who have come to the knowledge of God's purpose can understand why God was willing to act under the titles of Father, Son, and the Spirit.
      Those who don't, the rest to them is for doctrinal, scriptural, and theological arguments!!!!!

    Amen. I was shaken up when I read John 3:6 and connected it to John 1:1. John 3:6 says, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." No one interprets the word Spirit the same way in the second half of that verse. The first instance of "Spirit" is definite, and obviously refers to the Holy Spirit. The second instance of "Spirit" is indefinite and does not refer to the Holy Spirit, unless one believes Christians literally become the Holy Spirit when they are born again. The second instance of "spirit" is qualitative and could more literally be understood as "That which is born of the Spirit is spiritual". If we interpret John 1:1 in this way, we would translate it, "The Word was with God, and the Word was divine". Comparing Scripture with Scripture, and the author of John with his own figures of speech will dismantle Trinitarianism.

      Jesus was not here trying to say, "that which is born of the flesh is fleshly and that which is born of the Spirit is spiritual" like how you present it bro. If it was so, He would have used "those" instead of "that"
      Man is made up of three parts, that is the spirit, soul, and body. Therefore, the flesh cannot give birth to the spirit. The flesh only gives birth to the flesh but the spirit can only receive life by the Spirit. This is why Jesus said, "Spirit gives birth to spirit"
      The birth that the Spirit gives is a birth in the very life of God and this can be given through and by the Spirit alone. It is not that being born of the Spirit means being spiritual. It means having the very life of the Spirit.
