I love this project ❤. I'm going to give it a try. Question: on the pot you showed with the blue, turquoise with white base, it looks like the inside of the pot is just white. How did you do that?
For that design, Carrie decided to do the white basecoat on the entire pot. The marbling effect didn't end up on the interior due to how you dip the pot. We'd love to see your final creations, be sure to tag us on social media if you post photos!
You can skim the surface of the water with a gloved hand or use an old mesh strainer to collect the leftover paint. This works great when painting multiple pots with the same bucket of water. When you are finished marbleizing, the bucket of water can be poured over an old screen (which acts like a giant strainer) or solid surface, like concrete. Allow the paint to dry completely, sweep up and add to household garbage.
Correct! Just spray paint the base coat. There are some more specific details on our website as well: www.gardengatemagazine.com/articles/projects/all/diy-marbleized-terra-cotta-pots/ Thanks for watching!

After the marbling, do u use any type of seal paint to protect it from future bubbling or any damage caused by watering the plant?
If you want a high gloss finish you can but if you use outdoor spray paint, there is no need. Thanks for watching!
What do you do with the painted water in the bucket??

You mention base coat. To get the base coat you just spray the pot. You are not dipping it. Right?
