It's always fun to go back and look at these sorts of magazines! Nice video! Also, at 3:34 you said Super Castlevania 2, it's actually Super Castlevania 4.

I miss those old password books.

Absolutely love Willow, and Game Genie interstingly enough helped me create three ultimate passwords for the game. All start at the beginning. One has you at max level, one at Lv1 with all swords/shields/items/spells, and a final had both.

I spent about $2 for this guide at this old bookstore called Ed McKay's in Raleigh, NC in February 2014. Quite possibly one of the best $2 I've ever spent! I didn't have this growing up, but I always wanted one of these!

I still have mine. The book design is so beautiful.
Though, I like how none of the Metroid passwords work except the Justin Bailey one.

Hey Jon would you do a review of The Transformers and Gobots of the 80s? Toys cartoons or comics or all in one video. Love your reviews of all things Retro. Keep up the great work!

Man I miss Nintendo Power. Worst decision Nintendo made was discontinuing it.

fireheartis1 no, worst decision was letting Rare be bought by Microsoft and not teaming up with Sony to make the Nintendo PlayStation.

I had this book as a kid, but then my mother decided to throw it away, because I left it on the floor.

I imagine the DEV kit for Gameboy which is a computer was used for screencaps just like all consoles.

I think the colors were for system, not genre. Green was SNES, Red was NES, and Purple was Gameboy. That's what it looked like to me at least.

krustys super fun house is the only game i've ever bought and exchanged because it was so bad. i was a kid but i honestly couldn't figure out how to do one of the first few levels, i just was stuck in a room and couldn't figure out where i was supposed to go.

I always thought TMNT 3 was vastly superior to 2. Personally 2 gets lame after the sewer level.

I agree, it's basically a more refined version of 2 with more interesting levels.

These are TOP SECRET John! Revealing them was so irresponsible. Now they'll be all over Wikileaks and the Russians will have them and our NES superiority will be ruined.
