I’m Turkish and was expecting to hear Turkish (especially bc the flag was in the thumbnail), but was caught off guard when I was able to understand Azerbaijani. Like, it’s almost the same words as Turkish but with an accent.
he had a specific accent in Azerbaijani, pronouncing “k” as “ç”
Yes, I know some Turkish and was vaguely understanding the Azerbaijani as Turkish. I also guessed the Georgian as Azerbaijani although it’s in a language family of it's own. I just thought I heard some familiar words in there

I got Icelandic / Spanish / Welsh / Danish / Irish - the 6 modern Celtic languages have sound patterns and intonations that are similar to those of Dutch / Norse / English etc! I am upper advanced level in Dutch and advanced level in Norwegian and upper intermediate level in Icelandic / Norse / German and intermediate level in Welsh and beginner level in Irish / Breton / Manx / Cornish / Scottish Gaelic / Danish / Faroese / Gothic etc, and learning all Germanic languages, so I can easily recognize words and their sound patterns! But the Irish recording also had a scream at the end! 😂

No offence to Tagalog speaking people.
Not too far though, Cebuano is also spoken in the Philippines.
Sugbuano(Cebuano) .w. I wanna learn lol
Cebuano is a dialect here in the Philippines, mostly spoken on the islands of Visayas. We (Tagalog) speakers can understand what they’re generally talking about (something about a police and a girl), but cannot go to the specific details because words are substituted with their dialect.
Anyways, European/Central Asian languages are a gibberish to me 😔

Poli Genova for Bulgarian
My guide, as always:
My guess (✔️/✖️ right answer and comment)
#1 - Dutch (✖️ Icelandic. Hatari, where you at?!)
#2 - "Catalan" Spanish/European Spanish (✔️ I call this a win. "Poquito" gave me a hint. Judging by background noises it's some cooking show or some cooking utensil TV ad)
#3 - Thai (✖️ Indonesian. Lots of "rhr" sounds)
#4 - Dutch [again] (✖️ Irish. HOW?! I HAD IRISH FRIEND, HOW?!)
#5 - Romanian (✖️ Bulgarian. Door number two! I heard some slavic-like things but I guess that's what fooled me)
#6 - Galician [Or something among those lines? One of languages spoken in Spain] (✖️ Cebuano. Door number two again because I heard some Spanish-like phrases)
#7 - Scottish Gaelic (✖️ Khmer. I never heard this language)
#8 - Japanese (✔️ Suffixes "desu" or "masu", plus I may not watch that much anime but still)
#9 - Swedish (✖️ Welsh. Dang, sounds weird. Llan-somethingsomething-gogogoch, where you at?)
#10 - Singaporean (✖️ Xhosa. Language distinctive for South Africa and Zimbabwe. Unique to say the least)
#11 - Russian (✔️ Slavic enough. Also, is this some interview with Vladimir Putin?)
#12 - [Insert language used in Burundi] (✖️ Thai. Wrong turn at Albuquerque)
#13 - Belarussian (✔️ Sounded Slavic, even Russian, but too clear for me, a Polish person, to be Ukrainian)
#14 - Hindi (✖️ Marathi. Same country, heard word like "Mumbaya")
#15 - Manx [language used on Isle of Man] (✖️ Albanian. Ulpian Films, where you at?!)
#16 - Swedish [again] (✖️ Danish. H*ck you, Scandinavia. Brainiac76, where you at?)
#17 - Lithuanian (✖️ Georgian. Huh.)
#18 - Czech (✖️ Bosnian. I understood something about Australia and New Zealand. Probably fires)
#19 - Hungarian (✖️ Azerbaijani. I understood something about Trump and Putin)
#20 - Zulu (✖️ Samoan. The Rock, why)
#21 - Ukrainian (✖️ Serbian. I was like "I don't understand enough for Czech and Slovak, and I feel like I understand too much for Ukrainian. Ah, maybe I'm overreacting")
#22 - [No idea] (✖️Basque! I heard some bits of Spanish-like words!)
OVERALL SCORE - 4/22. BAD.
