😊❤ oh son is so awesome to see you in that Creek I am super jealous the only tips I will give you for now is when you're smacking that pan you're knocking the gold and the heavies toward where you hit it so you kind of should be hitting at the top of the pan and then panning with the water back away from there the gold is always going to be heavier than anything else in the pan put the black sand is really close so you just have to slow down take your time and gently wash the black sand and then lightly tap to bring the gold back to the top and where you're finding that black sand there's probably gold there but you're just going to have to get down a little deeper the gold will always work its way to the bottom and is Rocky as the ground is in that Creek it's going to just keep going down until it finds something to sit on whether it's hard pan or a clay layer or bedrock but you're doing great just keep working on that technique don't be afraid to haul some dirt back to your wood stove and sit in there with a pan and another bucket or pan to pan intoand just get used to moving that material around in the pan and see how the different ways you shake the water and tap the pan move the heavy material I sent you a couple of videos on demonstrations on how to pan in your technique is there you just need to fine-tune it a little bit
Fire up some early Dan Hurd videos on panning. I'm pretty sure you had a picker sitting in that first pan. The object is to get as much of the top material out of the pan as fast as possible. After the first few shakes, all the heavies are at the bottom of the pan and the riffles stop them from flushing out.
Where are you located I might be able to show you a couple of things, I live in Montana and a claim owner as well. You are correct in returning your materials back to where you removed them.
Check out Jeff Williams or Ask Jeff Williams, he is in AZ but his panning and locating skills r best. If u want to learn keep using that handheld computer u have there... and gold is super heavy and it will stay in the pan, don't b scared to shake some of that sand out and do more research man.
Great day out there getting that Au fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Never stop learning!!!
Heavy Pans!!!
