Great video thanks. Inspired me to do fix the angel eye myself and switch to LED at the same time! Easy really, just a spanners job. One thing, to take the bumper off you also need to remove another 4 screws which are hidden behind the lower black grills. You can just see the tabs for them when looking into the bumper from the fan. Finally got rid of the nag screen and saved about £170! Noice!
Yeah, the screws behind the bottom grille, I think peoples cars have been apart before an not been put back right. I've had mine since it was 12 months old, 2005 730d, the angel eyes popped about 2007, main dealer did it. Now I had a vibrating noise but couldn't locate it, today I removed the bumper and both lights weren't fitted to the carrier brackets. No vibrating now.
It's always something...grr. Just spent over $3,000.00 for other things! Now this!?@ Got my 745li brand new in 2003 and baby the thing. It has less than 90,000 miles. I can't do this. It's just too much. Too many clips and screws, too many steps. WTF BMW? For a lamp replacement? Fabulous video. You are so organized. I know I would certainly mess something up along the way.
Piece of piss, this man shows you how easy it is. It really is this easy, start it but if you're not comfortable, is there someone who's good you could ring to help?

Which Module controls the angel eyes both of mine are out and I replaced the bulbs ? Is it the light module and where is it located in a 2006 BMW 750li e66
How many hours did it take to get the actual bulb set into the hole? I changed mine for the factory halogen and it took forever. I will change them for led tomorrow. I dont care about the bumper or removing the housings, simply setting the bulb is what i am worried about.
Yip, I agree. Every car has some quirky part that is difficult to get to. I suppose the lights do last very long so they probably thought it's not a commonly changed part.
The people at BMW should be slapped for making this so hard... it could have been so easy but ohhhhh no lets me it difficult for everyone else...BMW designers are idiots... however thanks for the video
The way you explain every detail.... Love it!
Thanks for the level of detail... I can't believe you have to partially remove the front bumper to replace the ballast
Dr. Guy Madison these cars are designed to be as DIY unfriendly as possible, anything to get you into the dealer

Quick question - are they both 20w together or 20w each?
Thanks!

Detailed instructions..but that's just too much disassembly

long... cant recall exactly, but it also takes much longer capturing the video while working
Well i did put them in yesterday. The led bulbs went in within seconds. The factory bmw bulbs however took what seemed liked 2 hours each side.
Fml. Dealer charged me $500 to replace that bulb.
What’s the bulb size?
So the one bulb transfers to two places ?..
cant recall, was long ago
Yes, a mirror reflex the light to both halo
what lamps have you used and where can i order them:??? my angel eyes died i got set from ebay which died after a week :(
i also got from Ebay. Sorry dont recall the exact model.
This is absolutely insane too have to rip this car apart to change the lights one word abysmal shame on BMW peace.
Yip, I agree. Every car has some quirky part that is difficult to get to. I suppose the lights do last very long so they probably thought it's not a commonly changed part.
E38 its ..........simple......
Does it use 2 bulbs per headlight or do I need one for each halo?
one on each side
Ok I ordered 4 bulbs guess I'll be returning 2 of them.
@@rs2235386 did it end up needing two total?
So much goes into changing a bulb... Know anyone in JHB who can do it?
no, sorry.
@@ecologicaltime i am doing mine now
Which 7 is this
e65
don't need to pull bumper
The week in iracing how do you do it without removing bumper?
Face-lift models you do

i could not agree more. You even have to dismantle the light housing on e65 730 D. Im doing both of mine at the same time.
thats a joke. i guess ill have 2 do w/o an angel eye. i can only imagine what the dealer ship charges
just do it, follow my video, thats why its there. Very happy with my LED lights
Here in Dallas it was almost $500.
