Sadly both manga + anime at the time didn't fully justify how truly terrifying Crocodile or his devil fruit power, logia type sand-sand fruit actually is. I played a game [Breath of Fire II], it was a very fun RPG game, but the more i grew, the more i started noticing certain elements in-game had the potential of a true horror story. This is the same with some of the warlords in One Piece. Out of all existing 7 Pirate Warlords, Crocodile has probably the lowest bounty. One would assume he would be the weakest of them all. That's just further from the truth. Looking back, Crocodile is about just as terrifying as "The Mummy" from 1999 with its powers to dry out people, except the Mummy dried out and sucked their life force, crocodile sucks up the water out of humans. I don't think it's a spoiler, but keep in mind their bounties got frozen the moment they got hired. Crocodile had a huge potential national threat and he got a proposal before his bounty got any higher due to his criminal actions as a pirate. And they just never re-evaluated their bounties again. (Similar with Dorry & Broggy, the giant captains, their bounties are from 100 years ago and then they just disappeared and never got updated again)
It's good that Ali is so many episodes ahead because holy hell can most of you not keep it in your pants with the spoilers.
