Agree... terrible design. Should be 4 spring clips, pop the top of the air box, and direct access to the filter. I've noticed VW design is getting worse and worse for simple maintenance. Too many engineering ideas that are overly complicated. I think they WANT you to accidentally break things so they can sell you new parts.

i broke two and cut my thumb
yes will have another go at it now .most of the filter inside the box lol

What was wrong with 4 screws in each corner and not stupid snap features.

Agree, I had a Fiat and it was very easy to change the air filter there
To jsou ale podvrataci. Takovy anti user design. U fabky 2009 normalne sroubu s hora a pohoda.
