The devs of Deep Rock are amazing. One time me and my friend had a weird bug not allowing us to connect, citing an error so niche, that it yielded no results in steam forums or google search. When I filed a support ticket I got a response like 20 minutes after from an actual human (not an automated bot message) saying that it should be fixed by 5 PM. And it was.

Also, it's kinda simple as to why you don't do certaint things.(or do) Taking someone's reupply can leave them Low on ammo Not lighting up rooms in advance as scout even though you have a tool just for that, is slightly annoying at best. Not taking agro as gunner means someone else has to. Despite you having abilities specifically built for that. You force someone (likley more vulnerable to atacks) to deal with the enemies.
Important part about the Seasons and Battle Pass: they’re completely free. I’ve had to tell too many friends that scoff at the Season terminal, “Wait! The battle pass is free!” since no other developers do that. Don’t have the time or missed a season? Don’t worry. Any new cosmetics go into the pool of equipment you can find during missions. So you’ll find them eventually.
Seasonal missions stick around, too. You can still do Rival Presence mission types (EDIT: sorry, that’s “Corporate Sabotage,” Rival Presence is a mission modifier) even though it’s Plaguefall, and undoubtedly Lithophage Infestation and meteor drops will stick around when the new season hits.
This so much. I've explained this to friends that "actually, this is some sort of weird ethically monetized video game that doesn't waste your time". New premium cosmetic pack comes out, I jam that money into their moneyhole to support their efforts. I'm hoping other games follow DRG's example.
@@tonyelectionfraud669 the devs really care about the community. All updates are free. Each season comes with new cosmetics. They just do cosmetic dlcs on the top for the people that wanna support them. Goated devs over at GSG.

Drg players exhibit more honor than some of today's soldiers it's actually fucking insane. I actually did that a little while ago, turning back to save someone. I didn't notice why he died till he said "i dropped into a hole to get Doretta's head, we can't leave her behind". We made damn sure he was the first to enter the Pod with Doretta's head.
i love just rushing back to downed dwarves just to make sure no dwarves left behind even though i know for sure i will have no ammo left when its time to board the drop pod
@@AzureRoxeDRG conditions players to do something fundamentally impossible for every other co op multiplayer game. You learn to treat strangers like your closest friends in the world every time.
It's a cult of personality. My favorite way to describe it: FOR THE NEXT 30-60 MINUTES, WE ARE FAMILY. NO FIGHTING. SALUTE ON EYE CONTACT! ALWAYS R. NEVER TOXIC! CONSTRUCT, DON'T SNAP! ROCK & ROLL & STONE! *FOR KARL!*
13:29 Returning Dorettas head is the ultimate litmus test to determine whether someone is a leaflover. It's easy, gives no reward and we all agree it is the correct thing to do. Doretta digs holes and kills bugs just like a dwarf and we *Leave no dwarf behind!*
I remember one time dottis head got lodged in the ceiling so our digger tried and failed to dig around to her as he didn't know how way points worked (press e while pointing with the laser pointer) so I the engineer got the gunner to stand directly underneath so I could summon a drop pod onto him and it would knock down dotti.... It shot dottis head into the void and we could not find her after 30 minutes of searching... Worst run ever...
@@sachiel197 we had finished the challenge but the driller wanted to commit warcrimes on the scout for lack of flair usage. So low ceiling + end explosion + c4 explosion + a escaping scout face at Mach 2 = dotti reaching ramming speed and embedding herself into the ceiling.
I feel this community can be summarized by the tradition of carrying doretta’s head to the drop zone. It’s dangerous, makes things more difficult and you get no reward. Yet we do it anyways, for respect, for rock and stone.
Thank you for going over miner etiquette, Sseth. We may be blue collar workers that drink ourselves stupid and revel in how much we endanger ourselves, but its no excuse to not ROCK AND STONE!
Got DRG for 10 bucks last week after watching this vid; the positivity from the community is well-deserved. Brilliant humor, very immersive setting, truly honest and caring developers and plenty to do. The influx of new players is more of a mixed bag than the vets are, but 3-4% assholes and only ~30% non-communicating players are damn good ratios in gaming - here in medieval Europe anyway. Get diggin'.
i played the tutorial and i knew its a great game, i didnt have any money so i asked my brother who introduced me to the game if he can buy me a copy, he did it 5 minutes later
My absolute favorite thing about this game is that it barely takes up 3 GB of space. This game is so small that you have no reason to ever delete it, and yet it is so large at the same time. I'm convinced that the devs sold their souls to the devil.
Ah.. compression, something that's almost abandoned by modern devs because apparently it's okay to unnecessarily filled up player's space by trash files and uncompressed data BS
Thank you Sseth, for indirectly helping me pass my medical exams. My life is finally complete. I've been playing DRG for almost two years now. I have over 200 hours in it, and it's pretty much the reason I have one of my closest friends right now. As a proud Lord of the Depths, DRG sends it's greatest regards to you and the Merchant's Guild. Also as a Scout main, I can assure that even I hate Scouts. EDIT: Me screaming at Activision-Blizzard execs after the Overwatch 2 PVE cancelation: "A bunch of dwarves made one of the best games of the decade in a cave WITH A PILE OF SCRAPS!"
Sseth's last video didn't have him on the thumbnail, and I was worried that he was losing his grasp on his identity, but I'm glad that he proved me wrong by having four different versions of himself on this one.
I have waited so long for you to review this! FYI: Not only is the season (battle) pass 100% free, but any rewards from missed seasons are simply added to the in-game vendor or become findable in missions. Even in-game holidays dish out the previous year(s) cosmetics alongside new offerings for the current. In short: It will NEVER be too late to start playing and you are NEVER punished for taking a break.
@@blackreaper2343 No content based dlc. Only cosmetic dlcs. In fact the game has been out for roughly 5 years and it only has 8 cosmetic pack. They're just there for those who want to support the game. All the good stuff is earned in game.
*ROCK AND STONE!* Man, Deep Rock Galactic deserved all the recognition and boost of fame as of late. Streamers played it, even the virtual ones, and now Sseth has touched the game as well THIS GAME IS ULTRA #BLESSED
Another thing to add, all the Free, season pass cosmetics are never vaulted, they're just moved to lost packs and cargo crates, that you can find in missions. Seen that sweet weapon skin from season one, you can find it for yourself if you play enough.
Facts. His videos are even more hilarious when you understand all the meta jokes and references from the game. Really shows how much he played/understood a game before creating a review

1:29 why on the "classes" image are some knife-eared impostors instead of true bearded ale-loving dwarves. This unbelivable insult to our company goes to the management and to the book this instant.
To anyone unfamiliar with DRG, the seasonal content and updates are all free! Instead there are optional, cosmetic only supporter packs that are released separately.
@@sweatysunder4681 Some are even added to the regular cosmetics shop. The best part? You dont pay real money in the cosmetics shop. Its paid with ore and credits earned through gameplay alone.
Yeah id say this game has probably one of the most welcoming fanbases in terms of new players, you won't really get griefed for being a noob or w/e but people will generally be open to helping and shit.
KEY DETAIL ABOUT THE SEASONS The battlepass in the game is free with no paid option. More importantly, anything you don't get in the Season Pass when it ends gets added into the usual lootpools, so there's NO FOMO.
This video got me to try out the game, and not only did I find a very fun game with an enjoyable core loop, but also a friendly and welcoming community that seems to always be ready to help out a newcomer.
Feels really good to be on the list of the fallen dwarves. The closed Beta was really something and its amazing how far DRG has gotten. ROCK AND STONE!
There are also DLC skins, but unlike other games the community won’t make fun of you for using mommies credit card to buy them, because they realize the money is going to help cool developers who’ve made a cool game. Also the skins look pretty dope.
Also, the coolest/glammiest skins (like gold skin) still need to be unlocked traditionally. DRG is a game that actually feels like a video game to play, which is rare enough in this day and age-the fact it's also just flat out *good* is a veritable miracle. True lightning in a bottle.
The cool wind felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE DIGGERS" he thought. The Last Ascent reverberated his entire zipline, making it pulsate even as the $9 beer circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his (merited) fear of glyphids after dark.
For anyone struggling with the OMEN fight, here's a tip to make it much easier: the buttons have a high hitbox for what is considered to be standing on them, this is to allow you to jump over the purple wave lasers, but if an engineer places platforms at dwarf-head height above the OMEN buttons, it means everyone can safely just stand on them without worrying about the purple lasers at all, and it still counts as standing on the buttons beneath to reveal the bosses weak spots
When the ad segment rolled in it actually took me a second to register that it was a paid promotion and not just a long joke Also, I was definitely not expecting the hunt showdown clip, I can only imagine what a Sseth review for that game would be like And much respect for the Rocket Jump Waltz inclusion
As a seasoned DRG player I am absolutely ecstatic that you talked about on how to be a good mannered player and that the humor of this video is incredibly accurate to the game and its community! ROCK&STONE/10
The first time I walked into the Memorial Hall, something came over me. Without knowing it I was immersing myself in the world of these Dwarves. Their spaceship is a glorified Oil Rig full of heavily armed Alcoholics and run by bureaucratic pencil pushers, yet they made space to commemorate all those who were unfortunate, who didn't make it out. I realized then and there that this game allows me to be something special, to explore a level of comradery that I would normally not get with random strangers. And I vowed to Leave No Dwarf Behind.
I did that. Then I realised...xp is xp. And those green beards I carry deserve it. They deserve a promotion. They deserve new guns and over clocks. Even if I gotta leave them behind to deliver the goods, I'm getting them their xp. We love to quote the propaganda, but we also like our shineys. And I'll help you get them. Even if it kills you.
Aye. I recently played a game with some green beards (new players) as scout when I noticed two of my dwarven team mates got downed while the other continued on. Decided to turn back into a mess of praetorian glyphids to try and revive our gunner so that he could throw down a shield and save the driller. Ended up me and the gunner running back with the countdown timer reaching 0 so we just raised our pickaxes to the one dwarf who got out successfully as the drop pod left us behind. The downed Driller was host and was very green but hey we tried. ROCK AND STONE!
I like to imagine Karl was originally the CEO of the "Company" of DRG, but he was a forerunner that fought along side the dwarves as a miner, and sacrificed his life for his fellow dwarves who work for the company during a particularly horrific dive. I like this idea, because it explains the loyalty the dwarves have to the "company" despite the clearly stressed relationship of "Mission Control" and the dwarves. Karl was their original boss, and he died for them, fully believing in the company. I also like to imagine the "no dwarves left behind" thing wasn't made by the company itself, but rather the dwarves after being forced to leave Karl behind against their will.... Perhaps, maybe, the whole dive was sabotaged by the leaf lovers, which is why the dwarves hate them so much. Basically Karl was like if Batman fought crime as Bruce Wayne himself, and was like the complete reverse of "Kingpin" in that an empire was built for the sake of others. Plus it explains the apathetic and annoyed nature of Mission Control at the on-duty dwarves, perhaps they loved Karl too, and blame the dwarven miners. IDK.
tbh I think karl is almost a Stakhanovite movement type thing, and the company is enforced so much propaganda the workers feel as though they knew him personally
DRG is going to keep getting bigger and bigger. I hope the dev team can deliver. Also I secretly hope for more lore after people realize that after a certain point you're playing only for the gameplay loop and skins.
The gameplay loop is always fun to come back to. Even with 1000+ hours I still drop on for a few missions a week. Always nice to show some greenbeards how smoothly haz 4 can go.
@@bbbbbbb51 there's nothing quite like dropping in on some Greenbeards and just running supervisor, making sure everyone's making it through alright, rezing full squads like some kinda guardian angel

In my first online game of DRG I didn't know how to ROCK AND STONE and the two guys I was playing with were so confused that I wouldn't say it back. I just want to give a heartfelt apology to those brave heroes, if you're reading this just know that I have punished myself appropriately.
This and Minecraft are why we shouldn't have removed children from the mines, for you may remove the child from the mine, but not the mine from the child. The kids yearn the earthy darkness!
Just bought the game and played it for the first time, I accidentally hosted my first mission (after the tutorial) open for public, and some high level engineer joined in just to watch me mine some Morkite, he didn't even chat or pin anything, just saved me after I fell into an obvious hole, and left after completing the mission with a rock and stone before I could google how to chat....... Thank you kind stranger, you've made my day and fall in love with this community and game, you taught this greenbeard what a little teamwork and kindness can do Rock and stone brothers!
The wild part is he hasn't even charged us in forever, he's somehow been getting actual sponsorships. He did say in his update for this video that we would actually be getting to contribute soon. Karl only knows what he's up to this time
@@masonspencer9492 We've been begging him to take our money these past few videos. To be exact he hasn't charged us Merchants since Songs of Conquest which is... 7 free videos.
The best thing about this game is that is has HEART. Management might not care about poor Dotty, but you still get rewarded for it... You get the respect of your teamies :) Not to mention all the fun throwaway lines with barrels and mushrooms, Molly, petting the little cute things like Lootbugs and mouth-things in the Radioactive tunnels, and slapping the sacks on the ceiling!
Man, it's crazy to think there's a good chance I played a mission with this guy at some point and didn't even know about it. But that's one of the cool things about the DRG community-- pretty much everyone gets along and almost nobody has a big head. It's one of those games where you can queue up with randoms and, most of the time, have a good time.
I think I have watched this video over 10 times now and everytime I find a new joke or reference that I missed. This is truly why Sseth is the content I truly need in my life
I paused/rewind so often for a "single" watch. Usually I hate doing this and it denotes a bad video, but with this guy I WANT to do it because they're so good.
I absolutely ADORE how chill the community is. Everyone's there to have a good, wholesome time. And if you're not? You're getting the C4, leaf-lover slurs, and a kick. But Fail to stay alive on the lowest difficulty? ROCK AND STONE! Dropped all the objective minerals down a hole? ROCK AND STONE!! Accidentally kill the entire team? ROCK. AND. STONE!!!
DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE?! Seriously this community has been discribed as a hive mind and I think it is accurate. Except it isn't a hive mind per say we just all share the same drunken concussed braincell
It's chill until you say you speedrun and don't mine gold. However, that's only on reddit. Just do as host says and everyone is cool in the actual game.
Jokes on you my dwarf IS leaf lover ... well, lover. Secretly anyway. He'd never admit it to anyone. Least of all other dwarves. But he just likes the taste. (It's just my silly head cannon please don't make this an ordeal I know the other drinks give more important buffs) All that aside though I love this game and wish I could play it. But I can't make it past the start up screen 99% of the time. My computer sucks. The few times I did get past it ive had such a good time. Especially since mods allowed me to swap the gunners zipline for the scouts grapling hook. Also bosco is the best character in the game other than Karl and nobody can convince me otherwise. ROCK! AND! STONE!
Had a Deep Dive with 2 scouts who spammed both the Rock and Stone salute and their highlighter all mission. They shot at team mates, shouted orders and activated without ready checking. By the end they chased a Hooly Hoarder into a Bet-C then into a cave full of sniper turrets... I fully, whole heartedly agree with Sseth's outlook on the wastes of Beards..
Yeah, the incredible wonderful Hunt which even attracts non-pvp-attracted-players like me to it, would be surely worth a topic. If they would get a grip on their server performance for once, for hell's sake!
Say what you want about a driller, but when it's time to leave and your only options are to try and navigate back through miles of twisting tunnels or guard us while we make a direct path, I know which one you'll take. Rock and stone!
One time as a scout I was alone in a mining mission and I ended up digging a mile long hole down due to being very lost on where to find the remaining of my objective...... then three people joined me in my hole, and we spent half an hour digging back to the main cavern
I played DRG when it was in early early access and still had placeholder models for guns. The gunner still had satchel charges. And I told my friend, you know this feels like a more finished game than vermintide 2
As a player of both I would argue Vermintide 2 is in a very good state right now, the only issue is the lack of update, and with that mess called Darktide the update frequency is further decrease. But I would recommend give it another try if you haven't try Vermintide 2 since then.
well we have darktide now to have the lowest low to compare...compare to it VT2 looks like a well polished and stable experience with great game design kekw
Mister Toast doing a good job with them videos. I've discovered him a few months before he started editing your videos and found his humour and editing tasteful, wouldn't have guessed he'd work for you though. That's great news.
Like with l4d2's playbase and similar ones, game sessions are usually great during the day time until near midnight. That's when you come across the goblins....
Deep Rock Galactic is incredibly difficult to recommend to anyone because it doesn't really do anything new. It's simply HOW it does it that makes it feel incredibly right. It just has soul.
Although this game has been very popular for a while it never quite got exposure to a very large audience for whatever reason, as a result Sseth's video is now ALSO the best review by far. Rock and Stone my new diggas
My favorite game for the whole last year. I emailed sseth about this game a while ago and I’m glad he’s had the time to review it. It’s just so damn good. I’ve unlocked everything except cosmetics and I still play it all the time, because it is just fun.
I've had so many wholesome moments in this game. Times where we helped greenbeards, taught them the ropes, and pumped them up when they clutched. Good times
The thing Sseth didn't explicitly say about the Seasons is that they're 100% free, with no paid content at all (aside from extremely optional cosmetic DLC to support the company) and that all in-season content gets added to regular loot pools after the season ends so no FOMO. Additionally, the way the game is set up the new cosmetics don't dilute the pool of gameplay-altering upgrades; Machine Events will always offer you two Weapon Overclocks and one Cosmetic (until you clean out a dwarf's weapon pool), plus the Deep Dives and Weekly Core Hunt always gives a Blank Core, a Weapon Core and a Cosmetic Core. It's A++ game design.
Yeah, aside from the devs being cringy leftist freaks, who are censoring (and banning) conservative oppinions by every chance, they are pretty sympathetic!
When I heard the egg being mined at 6:40 while watching on my secondary monitor I automatically stared at the main monitor and thought "fuck here comes a wave" I'm not even playing DRG right now
Another fun fact: Dotty, can one shot a nemesis by just driving into it. Had it happen once in a danger level 4 mission i joined, and after it happend we stood still for around 5 minutes. Questioning, what the feck just happend. And our own sanity. We just came out of a rough fight. Mentaly preparing ourself for somehow kitting that robotic beast, while protecting dotty from the bugs. But Dotty just ran the fucker over. Not even acknowledging him. One of the reason why dotty is always the mvp. She dont give a feck.
I think the zipline, as slow as it is, is really good for vertical movement. Though engineer and driller can make staircases with their tools, those can be a little janky, but the zipline is a one way trip that everyone can use.
@@jarlbalgruuf2415 true but it’s not meant to be fast. And tbh, it would take longer to make a verticals staircase as engineer instead of just firing a zip line and ride it up.
It sucks always unless you put the fall damage reduction perk on it (that stays with til you get downed even if you jump off the zip). Otherwise it's rarely a good option unless there's a really long bridge to gap.
As someone who has enjoyed Deep Rock for quite some time, let me just say I'm looking forward to receiving a massive influx of new employees, *generously* provided by the Merchant's Guild.
Ironic how gunner is the only class really capable of utilizing his ziplines as everyone else either doesn't have the range or has a better alternative. So gunners, use the -X- tactic in open areas to throw shields to your fellow dwarves from above and grab the bottom line to negate fall damage.
@@wealthybone2990 It only really is usable in certain situations like killing dreadnaught as being mobile or following your engineer is your number one way to surviving in most situations.
I disagree, Gunner ziplines have excellent utility for every class in super-open gigacaverns, inconveniently huge crevasses, and especially with moving heavy loads like aquarqs or Doretta's fuel canisters (where applicable). Driller's tunnels and engineer's platforms are great, but in some cases they aren't as efficient , and Scout's tools are of course just for him.
You forgot to mention the amounts of customization you can do for your dwarves. I think with ALL the customizations across all 4 classes, you got somethign like 20 *B*illion unique combinations of cosmetics, from a jaded Gunner to Ganondwarf Driller to Gordon Freeman. Also a tip for the new Greenbeards that this video will bring: Explore the caves Fully. You never know when you might find something expensive, either to break or to bring home.
@@planescaped It's a mixed bag. 5 has some QoL improvements (like not getting carpal tunnel on Ranger when collecting items), but 5 also removed some good mechanics (like Ranger being able to take two of the same weapon, removing double Lysander was horrible).
DRG is more than a game, it's a fuckin experience that transcends its own boundaries Can't tell you the number of times I was playing on some WoW private server and I typed a "Rock and stone, lads" into the global chat and just absolutely derailed whatever was being discussed at the time. You can find your dwarven brothers anywhere if you look for 'em. ⛏
I was not expecting a real life griefing technique from Linda Blair's How to Get Revenge VHS, but it's definitely a good way to geteven. Man of sophistication.
How do you people do it? After about 5 hours I realised it will be killing the same bugs forever and only difficulty will change. Uninstalled and never looked back.
@@alexanderrichards239 Getting into the mindset of the character helps, being an employee and it being your job. There's also the progression of unlocks, variety of mission types, no two caves ever being the same, the music, constant updates and the extreme attention to detail the devs have put in to literally everything. It may not be a buffet of activities, but the menu has been so fine tuned that it's gaming bliss. If playing solo, it can be a great activity while listening to the 30 something podcasts you have in your backlog, and if playing co-op it's always fun having that team dynamic. Also knowing that the devs are for once actually S-tier people who aren't just looking to churn out trash for money, that they actually take community suggestions and have non-predatory business practices makes me want to play it over almost any other game. Oh and you get to be a dwarf that mines, drinks, dances and fights And if you mine, drink, dance and fight enough you get a really nice set of gold statues and a neat title so there's that too Also there's a vague Warhammer/Starship Troopers vibe to it. And at the end of the day it's just satisfying to strip every cave of every precious mineral and make it back home. So I guess it's a combination, not just one thing.
What I love about your videos and editing style is how nuanced and rich your brand of bullshit is. The sad Yakuza music at 13:00 is barely 10 seconds, but it's used beautifully and is absolutely hilarious for any who immediately recognize it. The overall video production is great, but it's these little details that exhibit a true master craftsman at work.

The bottom of the platform must be head height...trust me on that
Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna spread it to my friends. It's the only thing that poses as much of a threat as the nemesis in short, compact tunnels

@@themarlboromandalorian The greatest sacrifices require the strongest wills

It's A++ game design.
Yeah, aside from the devs being cringy leftist freaks, who are censoring (and banning) conservative oppinions by every chance, they are pretty sympathetic!
Basically, it’s heresy according to the game industry at large, and that’s a good thing
You always have the most interesting games to talk about and that transition to your sponsors is just amazing never saw it coming
This is Sseth's best video. You can hear the fun oozing out of every scenario he's describing. Rock and Fuckin' Stone, Brother!

I'm not even playing DRG right now
Sseth is the only youtuber whose ads I don't skip because they're so entertaining it's like they are part of the content.
Him and internet historian
When Sseth said "It's Rock and stoning time!" and started dwarfing all over the place... I truly felt that
Go back to your swamp and drain it.
I'm conflicted on this meme's use here, as it accurately describes what happens in the video.
THIS ISN'T AND WAS NEVER FUNNY. FUCK OFF.
Not funny
@@Scroolewse Not funny? This is a serious channel, of course its not funny.
This is why you always rescue Doretta.
The dwarf who leaves her head behind is the dwarf I violently shove out of the escape pod on takeoff.
"Sorry, that wasn't me, that was the Gold Play Button." 💯
I think the zipline, as slow as it is, is really good for vertical movement. Though engineer and driller can make staircases with their tools, those can be a little janky, but the zipline is a one way trip that everyone can use.
I recently acquired the zipline speed upgrade and I must say, it's not that slow with the upgrade.
@@S3SSioN_Solaris it is still very slow compared to every other movement option
The most important thing is that you can carry minerals and shoot while on it.
You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for Seth to play deep rock. I knew he would eventually.
Turns out he's been playing it since launch!

DIGGA im dying your videos are some of the select few that make me actually LOL
As someone who has enjoyed Deep Rock for quite some time, let me just say I'm looking forward to receiving a massive influx of new employees, *generously* provided by the Merchant's Guild.
Ironic how gunner is the only class really capable of utilizing his ziplines as everyone else either doesn't have the range or has a better alternative. So gunners, use the -X- tactic in open areas to throw shields to your fellow dwarves from above and grab the bottom line to negate fall damage.
More of a traversal tool, especially useful for those 45 angled cliffs
That's smart I never really played like that as Gunner or more so thought that.
i just use it to cosplay as an A10, a very slow A10
@@wealthybone2990 It only really is usable in certain situations like killing dreadnaught as being mobile or following your engineer is your number one way to surviving in most situations.
Someone in a lobby I was in recommended this video, and by god am I glad they did. This is hilarious man. Nice work, and ROCK AND STONE!
My heart exploded upon seeing EDF at the end there.
For real, EDF 5 absolutely needs a video
@@meat2648 EDF 4.1 is way better
@@tetragears I really don't get it when people say this, and I played 4 first.
5 is definitely an improvement.
Heard one of the previous three games are better, although they're not available on Steam/GOG.
@@planescaped It's a mixed bag. 5 has some QoL improvements (like not getting carpal tunnel on Ranger when collecting items), but 5 also removed some good mechanics (like Ranger being able to take two of the same weapon, removing double Lysander was horrible).
THANK YOU Sseth for featuring my mushroom clip in your video. I feel so honored!
DRG is more than a game, it's a fuckin experience that transcends its own boundaries
Can't tell you the number of times I was playing on some WoW private server and I typed a "Rock and stone, lads" into the global chat and just absolutely derailed whatever was being discussed at the time. You can find your dwarven brothers anywhere if you look for 'em. ⛏
As a 6ft man, it was interesting to finally get the 5’11” experience
I was not expecting a real life griefing technique from Linda Blair's How to Get Revenge VHS, but it's definitely a good way to geteven. Man of sophistication.
RLM finds a way.
With almost 200 hours into the game, nothing made me happier than to see Sseth review DRG. ROCK AND STONE!!!
How do you people do it? After about 5 hours I realised it will be killing the same bugs forever and only difficulty will change. Uninstalled and never looked back.
@@alexanderrichards239 you get drip feed more guns and there are some special challenges and varients of the bugs that you have to think about.
Oh and you get to be a dwarf that mines, drinks, dances and fights
And if you mine, drink, dance and fight enough you get a really nice set of gold statues and a neat title so there's that too
Also there's a vague Warhammer/Starship Troopers vibe to it.
And at the end of the day it's just satisfying to strip every cave of every precious mineral and make it back home.
So I guess it's a combination, not just one thing.

Your dedication to blast off any scouts that comes in your way is truly remarkable.
Even I fumble my well TCF shots on a mining scout.
