All code is different but I am surprised there was no torque suggestions for the screws holding the wires. The massive current that last for hours with EV charging can loosen screws like that over time.
If the EVSE is rated for 50 amps that NEMA 14-50 isn't sufficient, you need to have the circuit sized to 125% of the charger capacity. Really that one should actually be hardwired.

Wait !!!! Using that 14-50P plug to run 50Amps breaks US Code. The code limit for that plug is 40Amps. Please reconsider publicizing this video.
