Being prepared is crucial. Even for the people that believe it ruins the springs over time, what's a few $12 magazines every few years vs the alternative of not having them at the ready should they be needed
Always am prepared, keep several mags loaded and ready, then switch them out for fresh mags and let the springs rest until time to switch the loaded ones out.
I download to 28 for mags that are just sitting loaded to spare the feed lips a bit and make it easier to lock in a full mag in a panic situation where I might be fumbling and stressed. I only keep a few mags sitting ready though because I can't imagine a firefight at home that goes through hundreds of rounds.
Is letting the springs “relax” not a thing anymore? 22 years of Marine Corps service and they always was telling us to rotate them!? Thanks for the info!
All mine are kept loaded 2 short to ensure springs don't get fatigued.
Springs dont get fatigued. Its only with loading and unloading that messes up the spring
I keep my mags loaded. My dad always taught me that an unload weapon is worthless and extra loaded mags are a plus.
Sound advice. Plan on following it.

I understand keeping them loaded. I was told that eventually weakens the springs. But it didn’t seem to.
