BMW S54 ARP vs OEM Bolts Conrod Bearings Installation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 лют 2023
- It is time to assemble the pistons and the connection rods on this BMW S54 engine. But before that we going to see, is it safe to use ARP bolts ( using the rod bolt stretch gauge torque method ). After checking that, we going to proceed with the new conrod bearings installation. I have decide that I will use ACL conrod bearings, STD H + STD HX sizes. Lets see, what clearance we going to achieve, measuring with the plastigauge.

Thank you for making this video - very helpful!
Great job 👍
$260 for bolts thats insane
nice video, thanks
Awesome stuff, маняк!
Не очаквах някой в 12 часа да си пусне 50 минутно клипче.
п.с Мерси!
о, напротив, като приказка за лека нощ идва направо
👍🛠️
👍
lbs is short for pounds per square inch , as USA still use old imperial measurement system as you know...cheers
Thanks Crank , very interesting video...Question...Why didn't you put oil on the ARP bolts when you did final installation or Loctite for threads?
Hi Peter! ARP specially insist to use their lubricant, when tightening their bolts/nuts. If we use anything else, like different grease or oil, this will influence the torque procedure.
