Fav so far!!!!!!!❤
For florals, hot pressed is wonderful. The colors are so vibrant.
I have two blocks of hot pressed paper, bought in ignorance when I first started watercolour painting. Very glad when you show how to use it to best effect. Thanks for your inspiration and helpful tips, Ellen.
Love it!
What fun! Love the loose, flowy effect on hot press.
thank you!
What a beautiful, bright, happy wreath! So pretty 😍
I really enjoyed this so much. Beautiful painting. I love watching you mix colours.
Thank you very much!
This has really helped with my confidence in how to use hot pressed, thank you Ellen!
Thanks to you Ellen, I now love hot pressed paper. Beautiful fall wreath. Blessings to you!
Loved this! Such a great lesson in layering on the detail. You could have stopped at any point and it would have been great. But became more unique looking with each addition. I like the reminder to work fast too. I notice when I do, that my work feels more authentic. You’re so much fun to watch! Thanks for being so real.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks again for more autumn inspiration. Sunflowers, pumpkins and pies. Oh my!!! How about a piece of pie pic? Apple a la mode, cherry etc. Fun stuff ❤
Love that!
I love this! I’m going to try this on a card for my sister. We used to cut bittersweet together in the fall. Thanks!
Sounds great!
Love it!! Such a pretty “doable” autumn inspiration.
So pretty! I’ll try some of this paper. I like the smooth surface.
I decided to paint a rose on some Hahnemuhle hot press and the same rose on some Arches cold press today, to see the difference. I haven't used hot press before and I wanted to see the difference. And then I come in here and you did a demonstration on hot press! Thanks!
This wreath is lovely. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you Ellen, this is a terrific tutorial! Just beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Love it!! Cheery fall!!

Love this. I wonder if you would consider doing some fall fruits and/or veg -- apples, plums, pumpkins, carrots, squash, etc.
Ohh, now I feel dumb. You DO have some plums and apples and veggies. I'll go watch those. THANKS for all you do.
Thank you this is so pretty! I've tried so hard to draw sunflowers but can't seem to manage, can't figure my problem so I'm going to just try branches and berries....they look simple enough lol. Thanks much for sharing this 😀
Simply lovely. I will have ago. I have some HP paper somewhere but only 10 x 7.
Ellen, would you do a loose pointsettia for a Christmas card? I love your loose painting.
Hello Ellen, I want to send you the biggest thank you for enabling me to start painting with watercolours. I received some beautiful paints for my birthday but was totally intimidated. I watched all your mini painting tutorials and they gave me the confidence to have a go! I looked everywhere on UA-cam but your videos were the best by far. You are an amazing teacher. I send you my kindest regards. Rachel x
Best wishes to you on your watercolor journey! ❤ I'm a beginner gramma from California!
So pretty :)
Thanks!
Thanks Ellen, love the fall wreath. Going to try it in a hot press sketch book I ordered by mistake. Happy accident???
❤
Love this Ellen!! Especially your colors, your squiggles that end up being lovely 💖! Amazing. Your mixing of colors wow!! Thank you!
I got some HP paper but dislike it. I love my CP & rough paper.
So does the drying time for the hot pressed paper differ from cold press?
yes but on this paper like I say you don't use a ton of water so it can dry faster if you stick to that.
I absolutely love this one Ellen thank you. Can it be done on cold press?
absolutely !
💜❤💚🌻💚❤💜🎉
hate it.
