How could you say "not perfect"? He saved everyone and the bowling alley from eternal torment, well except for one, but that guy totally deserved it. So win-win for everyone. Also he did save 2 people from dying.
It almost feels like both a victory AND a loss for Melvin. I mean, Robbie did make Melvin choke on the first throw and activated the curse in the first place. and then he kept taking potshots at Melvin's confidence by ruthlessly mocking his dead father. It was seriously almost like the piece of shit _WANTED_ to subject himself and everyone there to eternal torment, just because he figured it would deal a fatal blow to Melvin's sense of self worth. 5:58 i rewatched this clip and just realized that he wasn't telling him to run away from the danger, he was telling to run beacouse Melvin's dad was a pedophile 💀
I said it in another comment trend but cant find it anymore, but in shrt: Robby was likely super jealous of his dad. We see he shows up to the bowling alley often (the cigarete beats on the buttom in the begining might be his). And for all the shit he talks, he isnt even on the Perfect game board, so he likely was Jim's rival or just an asshole to him aswell. Since he cant ever oneup Jim after he died, he takes it out on Melvin. Hell, with what happened in Earwax, its possible Jim was very similar to Melvin and run into his own macabre situations, wich lead alot of rumours Robby is spreading.
I really love Melvin as a character. Weirdly realistic in a way. He has good in him but like a lot of people he has those evil thoughts nagging him in the back of his head. It takes talent to flesh out a character in so short of a timeframe. I'm super invested in seeing what else can be done with Melvin. Take your time meatcanyon. As the kids say, let him cook.
I just love how when Melvin tells the pins to take Robbie into Bowling Hell, they don’t even hesitate, they just immediately take him there as if they saw that guy being an utter ass towards Melvin all the time (also why is the scene where Robbie is putting someone in bowling hell while also comparing Melvin to his father (4:07) so smoothly animated, that’s honestly impressive animation right there)
In ten minutes, you told a story thay would have taken most animators 30 minutes. That speaks leagues about your animating skills, youve grown alot and i cant wait to see more!! I love grossing my family out with your videos
Ehhh, to an extent. I think there was potential there with monster lab and I'm kinda sad the show hasn't been given another go round. The first season is always gonna be a little bare, but the series had good bones and more could've been done with it, IMO.
@@menaatefadly I don't think Hunter has said anything definitively one way or the other; there's just such a gap in the time now from when he made monster lab, and he hasn't even dropped any teasers he might be doing it again, so I kinda figured, y'know?
Papa Meat has some way to go with his writing, but i'm glad he's doing this instead of random parodies of popular things. It likely doesn't generate as many views, but the content itself is higher quality.
I love that melvin's colors become more saturated and less monochrome when he's happy, but when he's snapped back to reality he goes back to normal, a nice detail
Outside of all the shock value stuff which most people watch your videos for, I’ve got to say the concepts you get for stories and characters are so unique and interesting I’m surprised you haven’t got a television show yet. Your writing is very underrated
I didnt leave a comment at first however, i have to comment. It was seriously almost like the piece of shit _WANTED_ to subject himself and everyone there to eternal torment, just because he figured it would deal a fatal blow to Melvin's sense of self worth.
Robbie was to blame for all of this. He put everyone there in mortal peril, and he got what he _so _*_rightfully_*_ deserved!_
@blackheartzerotheundergrou3225 not to mention that harassment had gone on for years. Maybe not the curse but thats a good crescendo to it
@@blackheartzerotheundergrou3225 I think it was more force of habit/scumbag muscle memory... he cant stop taking shots at Melvin and his dad, even if that puts him at risk and the fact he doesnt even seem to regret it, shows how much of douche he is.
Nah its a win. He had it coming.
Exactly!
Melvin's motivation at the end to bowl a strike was the highest of probably every ball he has bowled combined.
The Melvin's good side and evil side are well developed in this one
I loved this episode!
meLvin is a A
I love melvins character design, he looks so menacing yet kind at the same time
What??
I think he looks very deppressed
It's so nice to see Melvin win a game of bowling to virtually obliterate a taunting old man by nuclear explosion. These are the kinds of stories that give me hope.
😂😂😂😂😂
With all the large TV networks tanking as they are, I am so happy that people with this much talent and passion are filling the space these crap networks were wasting. Great work.

The animations have turned into pure TV show level I’m so impressed and kudos to meat canyon and all the other voice actors/ animators y’all did amazing!!! 😭✨

5:58 i rewatched this clip and just realized that he wasn't telling him to run away from the danger, he was telling to run beacouse Melvin's dad was a pedophile 💀
“There are no real assholes… well, maybe one.” - That guy probably
I love how Robby the bowler guy just keeps revealing more and more horrible and heinous shit about Melvin's dad! 😂😂 Jim done did it all for 2 bucks!
🩵🩵🩵
I said it in another comment trend but cant find it anymore, but in shrt:
Robby was likely super jealous of his dad.
Melvin feels like a adult swim show that should become a series lmao 😂
I feel like this is a little better than Adult Swim
knocking robot chicken off their spot and playing right before south park
He has such a memorable and villainous look
pretty sure meat canyon is trying to make this an actual series, but hes just releasing it on youtube
i mean ofc it would be awesome if this was on adult swim
8:08 i like how that old man dies but then appear cheering in next scene
Oh damn! Good find! 😮
I just love how when Melvin tells the pins to take Robbie into Bowling Hell, they don’t even hesitate, they just immediately take him there as if they saw that guy being an utter ass towards Melvin all the time (also why is the scene where Robbie is putting someone in bowling hell while also comparing Melvin to his father (4:07) so smoothly animated, that’s honestly impressive animation right there)
Yeah The animation here reminded me of that old live action creepshow movie
ikr i noticed that too
Or they were just happy to take at least ONE soul to bowling hell
I really like how it doesn’t feel actively terrifying, just casually scary and uncomfortable. I really love Melvin. Amazing episode.
can't wait for the plush
@dontreadprofilepic5524 bruh
2:30 I hadn't noticed the ball earlier!!!
In ten minutes, you told a story thay would have taken most animators 30 minutes. That speaks leagues about your animating skills, youve grown alot and i cant wait to see more!! I love grossing my family out with your videos
Bruh most cartoons are broken into 10-11 minute segments. Telling a story in this to frame is literally the industry standard

If you compare the writing of melvin to Monster Lab you can see how much Hunter has improved
fr
Ehhh, to an extent. I think there was potential there with monster lab and I'm kinda sad the show hasn't been given another go round. The first season is always gonna be a little bare, but the series had good bones and more could've been done with it, IMO.
@@aaroncox1521 I haven't been keeping up but did he say anything about not making more later?
@@menaatefadly I don't think Hunter has said anything definitively one way or the other; there's just such a gap in the time now from when he made monster lab, and he hasn't even dropped any teasers he might be doing it again, so I kinda figured, y'know?
Papa Meat has some way to go with his writing, but i'm glad he's doing this instead of random parodies of popular things. It likely doesn't generate as many views, but the content itself is higher quality.
7:47 Love the Kingpin reference
Lost my dad when I was 11, this strikes deep. Thanks for creating this, it is inspiring

We are more than just the few with papa issues united through this episode on this day!* ✌️ ❤️
so sad, it's unfortunate you werent spared from that tragic event. I hope you find your inner peace one day.
We all know that Papa Meat’s storytelling chops are aces.
His skills would be wasted on a television show
I didnt leave a comment at first however, i have to comment.
This is fantastic, the bowling pins were evil the whole time; melvins genuine character development;
Even the reason why hes winning doesnt feel cheap;
The background characters only caring about themselves; the pins being honorable makes some wierd sense.
This whole thing is so beautiful
The part where Rob is belittling Melvin at 4 minutes is animated REALLY well. The expressions are super fluid
fr i was in awe
Was like watching a Disney villain speak was the level of editing
It's because it was animated by JaimeR, I reccommend checking out his stuff.
@fabrypetty1689 oh right on! I'll definitely check him out
My dad (coincidentally also a Jim) passed last year and this was my first Father’s Day without him. This brought a smile and a chuckle to my day, as well as a reminder that we carry on the legacy of our loved ones not by being exactly who they were, but being the best version of ourselves we can be. Thank you, Meat!
R.I.p papa Jim

*gets fucking evaporated*
MELVIN, AAAAAAAAAAAAA
💥 💨 💀 💨
9:38 that’s what he gets for almost killing of the people in the bowling ally
What a touching story. As it turns out, melvin's true talent was blocked by an emotional barrier he had to overcome.
Unlike Melvin I would sacrifice everybody else to the bowling pins Or I would accept their offer of immortality in bowling ball hell. I don't think I would make a very good protagonist and I appreciate people like Melvin.
@myronholy2999your father is back?
Uhhhmmm. It ended with him becoming more like his father because of how it kept getting projected onto him.
Oh I came out of this with the impression either Melvins ball was rigged to fail or Jim's ball was rigged to succeed.
@@Godofwarares1I like to think it was both. Melvin's dad just wanted to fuck with him as much as possible lmao
7:20 Absolutely the most underrated line, written, lead up and delivered perfectly. "He had the tongue of an old hound dog... And he'd be sitting there barking for hours just a little ROOF! ROOF ROOF!"
I like how he’s talking to the pins about it too, that whole scene was just funny asf
Elaborate?
@@98leighthe did tf??
I think that line is also a bit of a call-back to his earlier cartoon "POV: Velma has a panic attack"
