ellianas technique is literally flawless, she deserved to win. not bashing on lilliana or anything, but her dance was basically lots of amazing tricks put together with music while this dance was just gorgeous.

too me she has the Maddie face but i also see some Chloe in her. Elliana is underestimated by Abby and doesn't get as much attention as Lilliana and Elliana had pretty good turns and Chloe is known for her turns

I think with a bit more confidence this would have been the winning solo. And it's not Abby that can be blamed for that, it's Yolanda. That girl gets so scared she's going to lose her place on the team again because her mother does something stupid because she doesn't get the win. You don't see it on her face but in her stance. It's heartbreaking.

She is an amazing dancer! She should have won based on technique. However, when the competition is this tight, it probably boiled down to a mediocre music choice, and also a costume that made it look like her shoulders were slightly up. I hope she can feel good in that she did as well as any dancer could with what she was given. Wonderful job Ellie!!!
imo elliana deserved to win 100%. it was pretty much perfect to me. i think lilly won because her dad was singing the song and there was a story behind it. story wise, lilly was set up to win. i’m not hating though, they were both great.💘
oh my god can people stop comparing her to maddie?!?!? it's not a "maddie solo." its just a beautiful mature solo with a lot of emotion. and when they announce the genre of dance they dont say "this is number 27 in the Maddie Solo category, Elliana"
I would rather see her doing better choreography like in "Am I enough" or "Breathe". You know, choreography that lives up to her amazing technique. I know that this was supposed to be a mature piece, but she can definitely do better than this. She wasn't as good as in rehearsal earlier, but her moms put too much pressure on her, she was a bit wobbly during a part and her layout was not even close to as good as usual, you could really see how affected she was by the pressure :(
Jane D Yeah, she was really not happy with her performance, she is really putting a lot of pressure on herself too, both because she want's to dance and win but also because she really want's to show the moms and Abby what she can really do. I hope next season is better for her, but I think Lilly's win at nationals and earlier win really affected her, and putting those two best friends who are amazing dancers against each other, is not so very good to their friendship. They both used to post a lot of posts of each other on their instagram, and maybe it is because their moms don't really go along anymore that they don't post much about each other, but I still hope that they are besties.
