W e just installed our Cameras and it was easy and flawless. We live on a busy highway and got a lot of interference from Trees and a swing set chain. We was able to set it on a timer for night time use only but was disappointed that you could not control each camera on a timer. All or none. That being said it works great with that set up. P.s my Son is in Law enforcement and recommend for us to look into Blink. Good thorough instructions Bro.
thanks for the kind words, im gonna look that up about each camera on a timer..... if i go in the menu i am able to set each one on a time frame schedule for on and off. if you go and tap on the top of the app where you named your system, the next screen will say.... MANAGE "Your system name" , tap that and an entire schedule appears allowing you to set and on and off point for each camera..... hope this helps thanks, Mike,

Thanks so much for your subscription, commenting and liking my video.... these cameras are awesome, once you tailor your system to fit your needs, you will find them really useful, i think once you realize they are not meant to be on 24hrs thats when they become effecient... if you leave your house for a weekend or a couple of hours you can always turn them on from your phone....very convenient ... good luck, thanks again, Mike
I have had a one camera system for about a month. I have been quite pleased with it. I ordered an additional Blink XT camera which is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I have 5 of these around my house. Love them. We’ve had -20º weather and they kept working fine.
Blink xt, the cámaras are black and are outdoor camaras.

how often do you switch the battery?
im trying to find out if i can run a solar panel with the energisers that comes with the camera or do i buy rechargeable ones
Hmmm, i wish i was smarter so i could answer that question...LOL.... all i can tell you is the indoor cameras came with the rechargeable batteries, and the outdor ones came with the Lithium batteries, i think that the re chargeable ones probably dont do well in extreme weather, that might be whey they came with the indoor ones, hmmm thats only a quess, but so far i havent replaced any lithium ones but i have re charged 2 of the 4 rechargeable batteries only 2 weeks ago, so wow they do last a while.... hope this helps, thanks for subscribing and liking and commenting, i have subscribed to your channel too... thanks, Mike
Great unboxing and set up. If I mounted one on the edge(wall) of the sliding glass door, how would it fair, filming the the glass? Glare? Or?
I DID HAVE ONE IN MY HALLWAY FILMING THE FRONT PORCH, AND IT FILMS THRU THE GLASS DOORS, YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE SET UP A LITTLE BIT ON MY VIDEO. IT SEEMS TO FILM WELL WITH NO REFLECTION.... BUT I DID FIGURE OUT THAT I CAN HOLD THEM IN POSITION THEN TAKE THE INITIAL SHOW PIC OR DISPLAY IT LIVE WITH THE APP ON THE PHONE AND ACTUALLY SEE WHAT IT IS GOING TO FILM....HMMM NEVER HAD ANY OF THEM REALLY CLOSE TO GLASS THO... SORRY SUCH A CRAPPY ANSWER, BUT I THINK AMAZON IS PRETTY GOOD IF YOU WERE TO BUY A PAIR AND INSTALL EM, IF YOU DIDNT LIKE EM IM SURE AMAZON WOULD REFUND YOUR MONEY BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING..... Thanks for a quick response. I bought some of the Blink Xt's for my ex. She loves them. Bought the 4 cams with the module. I would be nice to find something where I could stick it on the glass and have it hang down. I think I only need to get two cameras. Did you find alot of after market Blink type mounts on Amazon? What state are you in? Looked very nice.
BLINK SEEMS TO ONLY HAVE AFTER MARKET CASES FOR THE CAMERAS, I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY MOUNTS, I THINK WITH A LITTLE INGENUITY YOU COULD PROBABLY DESIGN SOMETHING, NOWADAYS THEY HAVE ALOT OF DOUBLE STICK TAPES YOU COULD USE FOR MOUNTING ON GLASS OR SHEET METAL, I THINK MOST OF THE TIMES IF YOU MOUNT THOSE IN SUMMER AND CLEAN YOUR SURFACES WITH ALCOHOL BEFORE HAND THEY STICK REALLY GOOD, CLEAN UP IF YOU REMOVE IT IS BEST DONE WITH THE "ORANGE GOOP" YOU CAN BUY AT MOST HARDWARE STORES, HMMMM..... DONT KNOW IF THIS IS AN ANSWER BUT ITS ALL I CAN THINK OFF FOR THE MOMENT.... OHH AND I LIVE IN MICHIGAN..... THANKS AGAIN,MIKE........I FORGOT... This camera doesn't really have alot of motion for mounting does it? Like it almost has to be directly above the door since it has no side to side adjustment. I wanted to get this system but where I have to mount it would be about 3 feet to the left of my front door and it doesn't look like it would be able to be angled that way
IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT THE MOUNT, IT HAS A 360 DEGREE CIRCULAR BRACKET, AND THE CAMERA CAN SPIN 360 DEGREES, SO IT GIVES YOU ALL KINDS OF POSSIBILITIES ONLY LIMITED BY THE WALL WHICH ONLY ALLOWS 180 DEGREES, I SUGGEST BUYING ONE WITH A MODULE AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF!!! I HAD NO PROBLEM PUTTING THEM IN ANY POSITION I WANTED ONCE I MOUNTED THEM, HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK.....MIKE

Well the outdoor cameras are of a higher quality and film in a highter resolution 1920 X 1080 the transferred video when i sent it to my email was awesome, really clear video, hope this helps, thanks, Mike PS i think they are now selling cases or the shells in different colors... check amazon
Hi, are you having issues with wind moving the camera ? I am about to mount mine, but not sure if I should buy an aftermarket mount that is more sturdy as the included one seems flimsy. Thanks
OKAY... I WATCHED THE WEATHER REPORT AND TODAY WAS THE DAY.... NOW I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS THE TREE IN THE YARD THAT CAUSED SO MANY VIDEOS TO BE TAKEN IN MY BACK YARD TODAY, OR IF IT WAS THE WIND, THE VIDEO DID SHAKE AND I HAD THE AUDIO ON, AND COULD HERE THE WIND AT THE SAME TIME AND WATCH THE CAMERA SHAKE...... IF THEY ARE NOT TO EXPENSIVE, I THINK I WOULD GET THE STURDIER MOUNTS, GREAT IDEA, THANKS, MIKE
@@michaelmason636 Thanks for corroborating. I saw on another video someone mentioning it triggers the cam to record when there is wind. I am glad I haven't mounted them yet, however mounting the aftermarket mounts on vinyl siding is something I don't want to do since they have 3 screws and the orignal mounts only 1. We'll see. Now that you have had it for almost a yesr, do you feel it was worth the money and would you still recommend it?
Yessss.and Yesss.... in fact, i bought two more video cameras after these five, so now i have seven.... they certainly are not for everyone, if you are looking to monitor your property 24 hrs a day, including when your home... then these cameras are not for you, mine go on about the time we go to bed, and they go off about the time we wake up... this is the typical coverage we need, i would even say if we go on vacation i would keep the same schedule, after all you are able to observe thru the phone anytime you want, including the times you have the system off. Maybe just start with two, and see how you like them. The best thing about them thou is they ARE SO EASY TO INSTALL AND HOOK UP TO THE PHONE!! Sorry i digress.... hope this helps and good luck, make sure you get the outdoor cameras, even for indoor installation thou.... they are of a higher quality. Can each individual camera connect to different wifi ssd? For example my router and my extender wifi ssd.
sorry so long to reply, i dont think its possible unless you get a module for each one.... now sometimes they sell a single camera or two of them with one module for a super price.... maybe look into that..... but i dont believe each one can connect to a different wi fi ssd, in the menu when i look at it there is no place for it sorry.... you need that module to connect to .... hope this helps, Mike
Ok so when you were checking out the mounting for the white indoor camera, you you said, “well anyway”, and skipped it. Problem is the mount, as far as I can see, does not work with the camera. I figured the whole thing out except that mount. A little more info on that would really have been helpful.
SO SORRY FOR THAT.... What i had observed was the white camera mount is identical to the black ones on the cameras i bought... it presses into the center of the camera and clicks on the one end, and the other end just has a screw go thru the hole to mount it into wood or whatever material you have, i chose to not repeat that because it was identical to the black camera hmmmmm..... i will have to do better next time, i am so sorry you struggled, please except my apology, and maybe the next project i will do better, good luck with your home improvements..... i just love saving money when i do things myself....good luck, Mike

What will happen if my wifi is disconnected? Will this work? Or i really need an internet connection?

Is the amount of cloud storage per camera or total for all cameras?
For all cameras hooked up to each module, and i think you can hook up to 10 cameras to each module, thanks,Mike

Thanks for your comment...i love these cameras...the trick is to set your schedule for them not to be on when you are home and awake, and if you go out unexpectedly, just turn them on when you leave. Can the video be displayed on a Windows laptop and how long is the range
As far as i know.....no, it cannot be displayed on a laptop..... however if somebody else knows how to do this, i would like to know.....Remember, most people always have their phone on them.... I love how i can be anywhere and turn the cameras on all at once or idividually, and i can watch live, the convience of the phone is used much more often then most people realize, the range from the module to the cameras is pretty far, i dont know exactly what that is, but my module is positioned up stairs about the middle of the house, and i have one positioned under the deck and one on the opposite side of the house.....hmmmm....hope this helps and good luck with your project, thank you for liking,subscribing and commenting on the video, i appreciate it, Mike

One on your front porch is too low. They recommend at least 9 feet off the ground.
i had it there originally but couldnt see anybodys face... i kept seeing the tops of their heads.... so i adjusted it to see and recognize anyones face... its funny my friend works for Fed Ex and the other day he delivered a package to my house where of course i recognized him on my camera while i was away, it was actually pretty cool , i dont know if i would have recognized the top of his head.... hmmm ...... oh well to each his own.. thank you for your kind words and subscribing, its how we all learn, Mike

Battery last long?
before i set a schedule they were on all the time.... every time we walked by it would film us, it used up the battery power rather quickly... once i set a schedule were they were going on when we were asleep or not at home, they have lasted from the date of install to right now which is Nov. 20 to april 11 and they are still going strong, the key is setting the schedule, once you do that then there is no unecessary filming of family members etc.. thanks for the comment, sorry took so long to reply..... i just bought 2 more outdoor cameras from amazon with a control module for 183.00, i love these things, thanks, pipefittermike

Useless in a power cut, or internet down, get 1 with an SD card.
I understand these are not perfect, but the convenience is unbelievable!! i am lucky that i have a whole house generator installed so power loss is not a problem, if you had just one of these hooked up i think you would understand why i like them so much. Any video that is taken is sent to your free cloud account and can be sent in full 1080p to you email or text. Use a UPS for your modem, router, and hub. cameras are battery operated.

Hi Michael, i very like this security camera system. I'm going to buy five blink xt cameras. But i have a question, i'm going to use these camera in Laos, and how do i setup with two phone to view these cameras. For example, one phone my wife will use to view to camera in Laos and one phone i will use to view to these camera in the United states. thanks!
My wife and i can each view our cameras, its pretty simple really... have both of you load the app to your phones, then each of you share the same password, thats all we did... you just cant view the same cameras at the same time, hope this helps, mike
