I was pretty excited for this movie, partially because I wanted to see a movie where Dracula wins in the end. But nope. Like you said, the studio lacked the courage to do the ending that should've been there. As is, I do enjoy the majority of it, buoyed mostly by a love of Dracula.
I haven't seen the movie because it was indefinitely delayed here in England but i do know that it has the death by sunlight method which didn't exist in the original novel but i guess they included it because it's become so well known now thanks to Hollywood reusing it over and over and over.
Bringing ethnicity into a Dracula movie is kinda nonsensical since raising the fact that you had a shitty time in England because of your skin is irrelevant to the situation you're in, especially when the monster you're fighting doesn't give one iota of crap about that because all humans are food to him.
Once again, Cory braves the storm, so we won't have to!
Lol... I had heard good things, but I should have known better 😆

I really liked it except for all the CGI. Just use practical effects for Dracula.
There was so much shadowplay in it that they didn't need to use CGI for Dracula, true.
The reason I didn't want to see it, is because we already know how it is meant to end?
Knowing the end isn't necessarily a problem (the Titanic always sinks), it's how we get there that can be interesting... But not this time 😆

In other words a Mediocre film with an Underdeveloped Script.
Got It.
